Post regularly, have a lot of desirable dresses and coord them well, be fairly pretty, etc.

Number 1: do not post any opinions, and I'm talking about opinions on replicas, body preferences, negative opinions at all. No matter how shitty someone looks you cannot comment other than 'How cute!' Because if you do achieve efame people are going to find anything they can to throw around to stir drama. So you must avoid any negative opinions or situations so that your fans can defend you. Don't use your real name or email. Make a completely separate Facebook for your lolita name and outfits. I'd even go so far as to say when you're establishing yourself to keep your personal friends from knowing your new persona and social media.

As for becoming efamous you must have flawless outfits with some unique things thrown in. Have your full AP head to toe outfits and then throw in some amazing BL and taobao outfits as well. You want to cover as many styles as possible at first while you build your fanbase. You can settle on a single style later but you want to be able to post in all the style tags to get more people to see your stuff.

You must either be very pretty/unique looking or very very good at makeup. Skinny is best.

You must also comment a lot and reblog lots of outfits with positive but neutral comments. Do not post concrit, simply comment 'wow so cute!'. Also comment on d_l

Posting outfits every day or every other day is almost mandatory. On Tumblr. Once a month or so for d_l

You MUST take good pictures with good lighting and a good camera as well.

Efame doesn't get you anything in the lolita world FYI. You don't get Lolita brand sponsors or free clothing if that's what you're thinking.

Also going to add: do not talk about going to /cgl/ or btb etc. Do not under any circumstances let yourself be baited into drama. When you get posted to secrets and posted here do not defend yourself. When you get anon hate do not publish it. When someone attempts to tell you that you have been posted to cgl or btb feign ignorance and indifference or once again simply do not publish the comment.

YouTube videos also help with reviews and hauls and tutorials etc. Do not show anything remotely messy about your room or anything too weeby either. You also cannot be obnoxious in the videos.

It is nearly impossible now. There are a few well known lolis now, but since no one is allowed to talk about any of them anywhere there is no universally famous lolis. By all accounts Lostnatsu should be talked about nonstop. She has ALL the brand, coords it beautifully, is small and cute, posts often, has no drama, etc... Yet you hardly hear about her.
The days of loli fame are over. You are better becoming YouTube or tumblr famous for something else and then putting in a loli dress (like kotakoti or Venus) if you want fame.

I'm pretty new to the lolita scene, but a couple of tips for tumblr from my experience - aside from obviously having good outfits is to tag it correctly, as well as post at the right time of day. The pool of people reblogging images posted at 3 am is much smaller than those reblogging images posted at 8 pm. And reblogs are really all a gamble, if the right person picks up your post, you can get hundreds of reblogs in a single night.

Being specific in your first four tags (the only ones that will show up in search) will get you much more exposure than generic "lolita fashion" or "lolita", cause it's easy to get lost in the posts.

This only applies to the Japanese lolita world. There are tons of efamous lolita with dark skin in the Western fanbase, especially on Tumblr.

I have over 60 thousand Tumblr followers and see myself posted on here on a pretty regular basis, so I'd say I count as an "efamous" lolita and probably have a bit more authority on the subject than the random anons who are just going by their observations.

First off, the girls saying "don't post concrit or anything remotely negative" are wrong. I used to think that if I was sugary sweet rainbows all the time, I wouldn't get any hate or drama surrounding me. This is a very naive way of thinking. Once you start getting serious attention in lolita (actually, this just applies to anything on the internet, not just lolita) no matter how perfect you try to be, you WILL get some hate. Tip-toeing around controversial subjects only goes so far in preventing it. One day, out of curiosity, I searched my handle on RBT and there were dozens of posts abut me that were just pure made up bullshit. For example, a few people were going on about how they were in my comm and at meets I was a total bitch when I went to ONE meet in my entire life four years ago, long before anyone had any idea who I was, that was three hours away and I barely talked to anyone. The bottom line is that if you don't provide people with any drama, they will make it up. Honestly, once I actually started posting my opinions was when my follower count really started to sky-rocket.

Also, massive wardrobes are only essential if pictures of you in lolita are all your blog has to offer. I have a pretty humble wardrobe, though it consists entirely of brand, but my coords are a very small part of my blog. I mostly post useful information about the fashion beyond the typical Lolita 101 shit, pretty lolita graphics I make, and, as of somewhat recently, brand reviews, my thoughts on various things in the fashion.

If you want to be efamous, you have to have a thick skin. Everyone is aware of this to a degree, but when I say "thick skin", I mean bullet proof.

did you actually read my entire post? Because I went on to say that drama is inevitable and there is nothing you can do to prevent it. But while you establish yourself and your fanbase, staying away from negative or touchy subjects is imperative so that actual true quotes cannot be used again you when drama begins to surface. This way, you also have a fanbase that can white knight the fuck out of you by saying that you are always positive and lovely.

Take some time to actually read what I wrote because we are basically saying the same exact things. I never post my actual follower count to Tumblr. When people ask on there, I simply say "a few thousand". In fact, my blog isn't very unique or anything, it's just really old and I'm very active and post two or three times a day. Not gonna lie, my goal was to get a large fanbase (honestly, it was to make friends more than anything, I had no lolita bros) and I mentioned this to an efriend who gave me some pretty good tips on how to get started.
