I joined Gaia in June or July 2003. I was really active until they started the cash shop bullshit. I spent real money on two monthly collectables each month for a year or so because I had a part time job. I drew Sig art for gold mostly. I kind of really miss those simpler times. It's just hanging on by a life line though, isn't it? All the veterans left at least by 2009. It's become a real shit hole with their money begging and item inflation.

I'm still not sure what to do with my items. I wish I could sell them or my account for real money.

I have a mint condition Kickstarter poster, Dave tote, SBURB keychain, GameBro shirt, all the Bropak pins, and all of the stickers.
None of it is damaged in any way and I only wore the GameBro shirt 2 times.
I'd be pretty cool with selling it all. It was all so expensive that I was scared to touch any of it so I put mostly everything in a green bin and the poster in a frame but never hung it up.

Idk it could be anyone but god damn. I remember pouring hours of my time on there. I was even a regular of one of the forums and would get invited to the forum's guild and shit. A couple of my really close friends I met on there through roleplays. Ohh man.

I went back on recently (around Halloween) to see what was up and damn is it a shit show. The ads and booties and chests are fucking ridiculous. On the plus side, the lolita forum is so abysmally awful it's actually kind of hilarious. If they're weighted properly and the sole is properly stiffened, heelless shoes can be walked in and aren't that much more difficult than stilettos of an equivalent height, i.e. not the most comfortable thing and are best on flat surfaces. The brand Privileged sells some heel-less platforms, ditto Jeffrey Campbell. They are obviously intended more as night-out/statement shoes, but they are still made to be walked in. Fetish ballet shoes (e.g. Devious ones) on the other hand are definitely not meant to be walked in and some websites that sell them even state this. They don't even hold your feet in the same position as being en pointe, due to the heel, and are prone to breaking. So even if you'd learnt to walk en pointe you have to learn separately in them. There is a speciality manufacturer of ballet boots based in Europe somewhere, I think Italy, who makes them specifically so that they can be walked in.
