I haven't decided what to bring yet, but I feel compelled to try to do at least one holiday cosplay since its just 2 days after Christmas. Might as well make the best of such a terrible weekend for a con.

Probably bringing mostly old cosplays although I do have a new one I'm working on for a group. I don't want to fess up to the actual cosplays though because there are so many Texas fags on here. I haven't even looked at the panels or events yet though, I'm just glad Ya Ya isn't going this year.

Going as Noiz with my friend and some group she found off of tumblr. Kinda scared because all the people I don't know happen to be homestuckers. So afraid to see how some of these people turn out.

No, I most certainly am not ready. I need to actually find time to work on cosplay, but knowing me, it's gonna be the week before the con.

Cosplay wise, I haven't really figured out my line-up. I wanted to for sure be pregnant!Eureka for Saturday, Friday I was debating MAIKA or Blake Belladonna, and Sunday...yeah, not sure I'll even be cosplaying. Panels/Events? Umm...yeah, I haven't really seen any action on the forums announcing anything exciting, and it's not like there's usually anything worth checking out except the dating game and maybe hentaifest.
Thank god I actually got a free badge this year.

Bringing Reese (AC:NL), Minty Zaki (WiR), and Bee (Bee &Puppycat).
The forum has been really dead this year aside from spam bots, I'm disappointed. :/

yeah, new years was great since I got PTO I could take an extended trip to Austin. It was awesome. New years falls in the middle of the week this year though, but I still wish they had done the first week in Jan. Christmas is always very active and exhausting for me.

I can't miss it though, I've been going since year one.

They cancelled my Hentaifest panel (after approving it) so i'll be running the Jeopardy panel on Sunday and i'll try to bring some type of cosplay this year. Other than that, we'll just see if things have gotten just a tiny bit better than last year.

I was in an 18+ hetalia panel as Prussia once. Host got hella pissed because I showed up buzzed. For some reason there was a lot of food at the panel. Ended up with an entire big mac and a plate of pancakes.
Those kind of panels are hit and miss because there's only so many 18+ jokes you can make before things get awkward or boring.

Being buzzed to me is the only way to attend/be in a panel like that.
My friends attended one like that at another con and they said it was pretty embarrassing, but thanks to a bottle of rum and coke and a Spain cosplayer it ended well for them.

The rules were some of the worst I've ever seen, completely impossible to understand. The people running it didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing and it ran late. The awards made little sense, it was a shit storm afterwards which culminated in some steampunk woman (one of the judges) showing up on 4chan to talk shit, getting pissy when people called her out and then threatened to get the FBI involved.

I didn't go to the cosplay contest since I was mostly just hanging out with friends but overall I feel like the con was a mixed bag this year. Registration was a total disaster that ended with me shouting at some guy who kept saying "the line's over here" and pointing to a giant mass of people with no real order. The panels were a mix of terrifying and really neat (Philosotaku was way more interesting than I expected it to be), but I didn't go to very many. Dealer's room seemed a bit sparse this year, but the gaming room was better than last year's IMO.

I also ran into Miho Nishizumi's English VA by total accident, which was really cool since I was a huge fan of Girls und Panzer and loved her homemade coat.

Con was dead, I definitely think attendance fell this year. That's what happens when people complain about how much of a clusterfuck your con is every year and your do jack shit about it. And that being said, lines were a complete clusterfuck. My girlfriend and I kept trying to find the end of the cosplay show line at one point and we even almost gave up. No volunteers to tell you where it actually was, just people yelling at you if you accidentally went the wrong way

TURN AND FACE THE STRANGE

Con was great had more fun there this year than like the last 3.

Game room was better.

Table top was better.

Room party had tons more awesome people in it.

Everybody there was willing to talk and was very kind.

Saw the director of programming in the elevator told him we needed less homestuck panels in front of a bunch of people cosplaying that crap.

Dealers room had better stuff than last 2 or 3 years (no good prons though D:)

This year was wonderful, maybe it was so good because "nobody" didn't show up, but whatever it was, it was a really good year for ikkicon at least for me.

This was pretty much a standard Ikkicon. Not super impressive, or well run (the registration line was bullshit), but it's a con and it's better than sitting at home. And actually this year was slightly better than previous year like tent-con year.

My friends and I drove down from upstate for it. None of us brought cosplay. It was our first Ikki. We had a good time though, there wasn't really any kind of explosive fun but it was all just super chill. I'd come back, as long as you're willing to meet people or play games then it seemed to be pretty good.
