You haven't heard of Mr. Yan or Bodyline contests before, have you?

She says in the description that Mr. Yan asked for this video to be made. He probably wanted someone to talk about how wonderful the Bodyline model experience was to wash away all the nasty rumors. Seems like even Venus couldn't bring herself to do so.
I feel that her mother or her made the decision to film most interactions in case something were to happen. For example when he first met her and her mother if he would blackmail them for the contract to include highly inappropriate or disadvantaging things it would be on tape and he would take the fall. I thought it was pretty smart.

I feel that her an her mom obviously knew the shadiness of all of it, but they (probably more her mother) tried to find ways to escape it to still make use of the opportunity.
I think Venus didn't want any of her younger fans to follow her footsteps which is why she made such an explicit video.

All of it was creepy, and I even wonder if that is the whole story. If that is the most she could talk about, how much couldn't she say?

I don't know if it is just her "I am listening" face but she looks terrified/on guard when Mr. Yan was talking to her.

Even the bloopers were disturbing. Like how Mr. Yan made up the questions and answers of the interview and both Venus and the employee looked like scared hostages.

I wasn't a big fan of Venus until I realized it was Margret pulling the strings on this girl. And now I pity her even more. I really hope that she is okay and that the video tells the whole story. No one should have to deal with a creep like Mr Yan, especially not at that age. I think she stood up for herself pretty nicely in the whole marriage thing. She might have been playing dumb, but she isn't dumb at all. In Disneyland when the fans wanted pictures with her, I think she should just have defied Mr Yan, because not taking pictures with fans was not in her contract. As narcissistic as some of her comments are ("because I look like a doll! ^_^"), she tells the truth about how creepy of an experience it was. She didn't try to glamorize it and made it very clear that they were obsessed with finding Mr. Yan a wife. She even showed the creepy messages he sent her. No hair stylist, no make up artist, no prepared coords, changing outfits in a kitchen; it's not as *~*GURAMORISU*~* as the girls think it is. Well for starters we know that Venus has next to no formal education, which means no grades to speak of so in terms of a C.V. the vast majority of employers would toss hers right into the waste basket.
Secondly, assuming you're American, Venus lives in London. Do you have ANY idea how expensive London is? The UK at the minute is an incredibly expensive place to live, but London is a whole other story. For example the area that I live in is super rural up North where it's considered much, much cheaper, but in any pub I'll still get charged £3.60 for a pint of cider. In London those prices can be any where upwards of £3.00 to £7.00.
In terms of basic flats within the area Venus is likely looking at around £425 to £800 per week. And no that's not including utilities or internet.

I was in a similar situation as Venus not to long ago, of which my only option was to move into a hostel/supported accommodation for vulnerable young people, which very graciously allowed me a 2 years tenancy with rent paid by my council. I lived on £56 a week for those two years whilst I worked hard at college to get myself out of my situation, and even then it was an enormous struggle. I still had to pay for travel, utilities, clothing, food and textbooks with that £56 a week and as a result I often attended food banks and during the two Winters I had to contact charities to pay for gas to keep me warm.

I get that you have contempt for this girl, I'm not judging you for your opinion, but when people make idiot statements such as "Well maybe she should just get a job and move you!" without taking into consideration that person situation is makes me want to slap them with a clawhammer.

There's a lot of contributing factors. The main one is obviously because it's the capitol, another is that because there are so many businesses existing that it attracts more people which equals less housing. Another one is that people living outside the country are able to purchase housing within London but not actually live there, which has led to a bit of a housing crisis. Combine this with the immigration issue (why are foreigners so bloody attracted to living within London in particular?) obviously a higher congregation of people means more public services equals higher taxes equals higher prices in, well, pretty much everything. Actually the biggest reason of all is that councillors and MP's are all generally bloated, greedy pigs who instead of actually solving problems prefer to bury their snout in the troughs. There's been a bit of a scandal in the UK recently with energy firms all suddenly announcing an 11% price hike in unison right before Winter, so a lot of people like me are struggling. A lot of MP's are all harping on about how "outrageous" it is, but funnily enough none of them are doing a damn thing about it. Our worthless toff of a Prime Minister even had the cheek to make a statement advising poorer families to combat the cold by "wearing more jumpers".

There is a great sense of contempt for the governing body in the UK right now, especially within the lower class which is why I'm getting the hell out before shit inevitably hits the fan.

As a student living in Manhattan, I can confirm. I live in student housing and I'm still paying 10x the amount that my friends who stayed back home (CA) are. The city is great but it's almost impossible to live here without breaking the bank for the average person. Hungarian is difficult to learn on your own or in a class, but if you're living there and faced with the daily reality of the language (especially if you're younger), it's not that hard to pick up, from what I've heard.

I think being able to pick up languages easily is a very specific form of "intelligence," in the same way that having maths come naturally to you is.

Also, I don't think the whole "you can learn a language in X months" thing is about being fluent in that language so much as being able to get around and hold simple conversations. If you can communicate enough to make friends and do everyday stuff, I'd say you had "learned" the language.
Fun fact, with languages that are similar or share a lot of similar features, native speakers can often pick up and be solid with the language within 6 months, so long as they are immersed in it. The example that was often used in my linguistics textbook was that a Korean person who moved to Japan and actively tried to learn the language could be fluent within that time frame.

I finally did when I finished my undergrad, but I would have moved out earlier if the university I was going to wasn't only a mile away. Yes, most stores that photograph clothing on models end up selling the clothing anyway. Same goes for clothing returns, often times the manufacturer simply attaches another tag and resells it. If it's not damaged/dirty, why not sell it?

I know a local botique here that's very successful does photo shoots and fashion shows, the clothing the models wear get put back on the racks to sell after the shoots and shows.

I guess it's kind of gross, that's why I wash anything I buy before wearing it.
