We haven't had a bad tutorials thread in a while, have we?

Making this has an ulterior purpose though; I'm specifically looking for the tutorial some guy made for making colored contact lenses out of plastic water bottles. If someone has it saved please post it!

Hey guys, I saw these dangan ronpa threads for so long that I decided to play it, and I'm really loving it!
I decided to cosplay Aoi Asahina, since I have tanned skin and a body that fits her (and m y personality and hobbies fit too~ so maybe I'll take some pool pictures), but I have some questions that I hope some of you can answer.
I'm going to use a wig, since my hair is dyed another color, and I'm wondering about the correct way to style it. Her hair seems to be a ponytail that goes up... what's the best way to do that?

Also, would there be any problem if my shoes don't fit 100% the origial? or should I custom make them?

I really wish I had it screen capped but a while ago someone made a bad tutorial out of my work.

Somewhere around 2008 I made a mold for gummy souls for Soul Eater cosplay. The pics were a hit and got passed around the fandom so I made a tutorial on how I made the molds with foodsafe silicone and included the recipe.

In 2012 someone alerted me that the tutorial was now on tumblr and I thought 'hey, neat' so I went to see and it was not my tutorial at all. Some idiot had uploaded a pic of the finished candy and included a tutorial entailing making a mold from a hard plastic ball and crazyglue, filling it with jello, and chipping the mold apart with a knife to get the candy out. I eventually got it taken down but people were expressing interest in attempting the tutorial and I didnt want some underage kid getting sent to the hospital.

A SECOND tutorial that is literally just "take a picture of the thing and get it printed here"

these are sponsored posts/just an ad for that phone case site right?

Why does it pain you?
This is actually the only tutorial she's made that I though looked acceptable

>> No.7244178

Not that anon, but mostly the rims are cringe-worthy. She should have covered the glass part with tape too, as opposed to leaving ugly brush marks near the inside.

>> No.7244182

>>7244175
The random white patches on the inside of the rim really kill this for me. I mean, I get that it's super DIY and nail polish and shit, but it just looks so unfinished. I mean, if you're going to paint your glasses with nail polish (????), at least put some tape around the lenses themselves and make the paint job look consistent.

>> No.7244185

>>7244178
>>7244182
Yeah that's the only part that I didn't like about it actually.
But as long as you cover the lens and paint the rims correctly isn't it a good idea? I think if she had covered the lenses and painted it and not left brush marks that it would actually look pretty cool.

Why not use colored sand like real sand art, instead of coloring fucking salt? Also, that's going to get mixed up pretty fast with the brushes coming in and out. What the fuck?

I don't even get why their glue gun is dirty. The only "dirtiness" I deal with with my glue gun is strands of hot glue drying on the tip, which I just peel off after it's cooled. I don't go to work on a project with dirty hands or throw my glue gun around the room...

even though this is literally the stupidest tutorial, it would make way more sense to spray and THEN chop. ensure an even coating and make it easier to keep the tips apart while they dry.
or just buy actual gold garment studs that won't fall off once the glue weakens.
and they aren't even chop sticks, they're barbecue skewers.

She used a muffin paper. From that point on, why bother finishing the ribbon at all. All her shit tutorials look like things kindergarteners make in craft time and bring home to their parents.

She doesn't even sew, she glues the seams of anything she cuts up. I doubt it would stand up to a wash. What a hot mess, all of it.
