General F+F thread
Experiences? Favorite/least favorite piece? Worn pictures?

>> No.7222837

>>7222573
My experience with them was great! The materials are all very soft. They still have their custom size issues though, I ordered a blouse and it's too big/sits on me weirdly, but it might be my fault. (My mom advised me to add in the extra cm) and the waist turned out too big, fml. BUT, the lace is soft, one of the dresses I received is pretty heavy, too. And the Castle Innocent skirt I bought's kinda short, I have to roll my petti a few times. (I'm 5'2)

>> No.7222853

My experience has been hit or miss with them. It's a gamble with fit and lace quality. If there's a particular item you want I'd advise looking up worn pics and detail photos from other customers. You can find reviews but often the person is too new to give a good opinion so just look at the photos.

>> No.7222854

You basicly get what you see but their custom-sizing still can be hit or miss.

They also added an option to add fake lamb fur to coats recently to suit very cold winters better.

>> No.7223429

>>7222837
Materials- good EXCEPT tender fleece and satin. Stay far away from those. Also be sure to examine what ind of lace is being used on a scpecific lace- buy only items using eyelet, cluny or venise lace, the stretchy chemical and raschel is garbage. Their cotton is nice, not too thin, and comfortable.

Construction and fit, are okay. On par with some of the less luxurious taobao brands- ruffles serged instead of hemmed, sometimes weirdly tall or tight collars, etc. Custom sizing is hit or miss. Apparently their corset items fit quite nicely, in terms of being sturdily constructed.

Basically if there's a design they have that you REALLY like and/or you need custom sizing, go for it, otherwise it's not as good a value as taobao. Also most of their designs are better for gothic and classic, go to Bodyline for cheap sweet (or taobao).

Has anyone here bought a coat from them? I'm curious about the fit and how warm they are.

I bought one two years ago, super warm wool, good quality.
It doesn't get much wear these days since I live in Australia but it has lasted this long with no problems

>> No.7224141

Only noobs or itas buy from F+F. They even manage to fuck up bloomers which are one of the most simple things to construct. Even if they didn't have shitty construction, 90% of their items are replicas.

I only bought this from them. The top part is "cotton," that same material you'd expect from a Snow White costume from Party City, which crinkles with friction when you pinch and rub the fabric. It was horrible.

The skirt was fine. I tore off the top so I could eventually just have the skirt.

>> No.7224234

One tip I keep hearing is to avoid their custom sizing at all costs. Their standard sizes tend to fit pretty well, but they have a history of goofing up custom orders. That's okay though, they have ton of standard sizes.

>> No.7224241

Does anyone have pictures of the grey wool they use on their coats? I'm really interested in getting one, but I'm hesitant because I can't see it in person. Is the wool natural or synthetic felt? The reviews I've seen are for red or pink coats, never grey.

I got pic related in custom size and it's so perfect, I absolutely love it. I also got some pants in custom size and they got all measurements just right, except that it was a little too wide at the top (it was high corset waist style).

I got a winter coat from them about 4-5 years ago. I still wear it & It still holds up...it's coming apart a little bit now but y'know after wearing it for so long that's expected. Has survived lots of different climates too since I have travelled with it.

Pic related, it's my coat back in '11

I have:

and

http://neo-ludwig.com/c4/SP00154_08.jpg (skirt only)

They're not that shiny in person, however the buttons on the Scented Corsage skirt are ugly as fuck irl. I had to take them off and sew on more suitable buttons.

The black skirt is way too big for me, but that's my own fault; I added extra space because the last custom thing I bought online turned out way too small. I'm going to get it taken in.

I got this blouse about... three-four years back, damn. It was for a choir concert and back when I was wanting to get into lolita but didn't know of any other places than F+F. It's a good blouse, a little thin, fine construction, the seams don't strain around my waist so the sizing was accurate. Can't complain. What it mainly did for me was confirm the fact that I like crochet lace way more than any flat/thin type of lace (it's crochet lace at the bottom of the chest panel there)
I currently have the Princess Portrait high-waisted skirt in grey+brown on the way.

Also, maybe this isn't the place to post this but it IS a F+F thread, I guess. This is the first dress I ever fell in love with, five years ago, and somehow (even looking at it now) I'd still like to own it, just for its own sake...

I have a lolita friend who own real Atelier Boz rolandos, and they look fantastic on her.I'm sure of the cost of the f+f roland jacket but it might be a good idea to stalk the auction sites/closet child for the real thing as they can be quite affordable and I imagine the construction and material would be a lot better.

Pretty sure a color can't be ita. A combination of colors, maybe. A particularly eye-blinding shade? Sure. But lavender? One of the most popular shades in lolita? That's stretching it. Maybe not to your personal taste, that's fine, but implies that it's generally perceived as ugly but the majority of lolitas.

What do you think about satin used in lolita? Me thinks pink cheap satin can be the most cringeworthy thing, but this dress looks kinda neat, at least in this colorway.
Number 2 is very similar skirt, just different fabric. Price difference is only couple of euros.

>> No.7230717

>>7230647
Fine silk satin looks good, as do most high-quality things, although it's definitely a more formal fabric. Some shiny cotton sateens are ok.
However, that is F+F, which while not always ita is definitely not high quality. The shininess in that picture is a dead giveaway that the fabric isn't very good. I don't suggest you buy that one.
