So my package arrived today. I paid for shipping the 15th so the wait wasn't bad compared to other people who paid in the beginning of the month.

On to the items, nothing was seized and everything's in lovely condition expect for the blouse on the top row and the dangling star clip. The blouse looks like some polyester blend in the photo but it's this really shiny, costumey material. The same with the star clip, it's like more orange yellow than gold and it's really cheaply made but oh well.

I'm most surprised with with the red JSK on the side. It's SO well made. It's lined, has a really nice beige velveteen accent on the bottom, has an invisible zipper on the side, shirring with ribbon, really sturdy lace trimming on the lining, and it's so thick; it's perfect for winter. The design on the front is embroidered and the collar has a nice cotton lace type accent that goes all the way around. The only thing I didn't like was the corset ribbon was the type of cheap ribbon you use to make streamers. But I just removed it since I'm bad with corsets anyways. It's sold out at the moment but I'll leave the link here in case it goes back in stock.

So I'm about to make a new order. I've used Taobaoring and Taobaotrends before but I doubt I ever will again. I've talked about it briefly before but this is a heads up to people who want to use TBT.

After paying for EMS, I get this e-mail that TBT sent it via DHL with the explanations that DHL is more secure, EMS is really slow sometimes and has custom fees (I've never heard of this tbh). I also paid for 4.0kg but the weight on the package was 3.0kg. Sent another e-mail about that. They tell me to take photos for proof, okay whatever. Then they stated DHL didn't write the correct weight on the box and on the website and demanded I weigh the box after I said in the first e-mail that I've taken everything out already. Plus I don't have a scale and it shouldn't be my obligation either wtf. I still doubt it was 4.0kg, but there was nothing I could do about it. The final e-mail they sent me was "Pls trust us, the weight will be correct. We will check carefully later." But like hell I do, they can burn in a fire.

>> No.7212927

>>7212924
This is a pretty common thing to do. Most things would have the price and a bootleg tag on them, but a fairly realistic brand tag on the item itself(for clothing atleast) the customs officers are trained to spot fakes and it's easy to tell if the item doesn't have the correct tag info on it.

>> No.7212933

>>7212924
Replicas are illegal. The workers in customs have a list of popular brand labels and if the labels on the clothing are off by even a bit, they confiscate the item. Also if the value of the package is low and filled with replicas they're going to notice they're fake; that's why a lot of SS have the option of marking down your package as a gift so it's less likely to be searched. If it's over a certain about (I think 2kg) they open it sometimes and just peek inside. But I hear around the holidays (a.k.a now) customs get a LOT stricter which is why so many people are worried about their packages. Last year, a girl ordered a bunch of Liz Lisa replicas and every single one of them was seized. Her package came practically empty. There's more info about it in the spreadsheets.

The coat is very nice. It's a warm material on the outside and it's lined. All the faux fur accents are removable and the ribbon is sewn on the the collar so you don't have to worry about losing it. The pockets are pretty small; I can only fit keys and spare change. There's also a bow in the back with a cute lace trim. The button holes are a bit small so it's a bit of a struggle to open and close the coat but that will fix itself with time.

The skirt is nicely made as well. It also had the same cheap ribbon as the JSK on the back so I just removed it but the ribbon used in the front is nice quality so I kept that one. All the designs are embroidered, it's lining has the lace trimming, and the straps have three button holes to adjust the length of the skirt. But the buttons came a bit loose (as almost everything from Taobao) so I have to resew them later.

The phone case is cute and exactly as pictured. It came with the home button which was a nice surprise. It also came with a matching lanyard to hook onto the top of the phone but I don't know why anyone would want to hang their phone around their neck.

I ordered a pair of these shoes before as a test to see if I'd like them and they were really nice so I ordered a few more. They're comfy and made off some kind of suede(?) material and they're slightly darker than pictured. The only thing is my last pair didn't last over a month and a half. They show scratches and such very easily so keep that in mind.

The bow is made of velveteen and the same product as the picture except it's a bit darker. It's about the same shade as the JSK and the red shoes which is a bonus for me.

The tea party blouse is standard Taobao. Loose buttons. thin material, and stray threads. The ribbon is actually pretty weird. It's cut in half with button holes on the ends that attack to two buttons on the back of the collar. The only nice part about this blouse is the collar. It's the thickest part, the ruffle is cute, and the words are embroidered.

>>7212715
This is my cart, at the moment. All the pink/white items on the left were from the 11.11 sales, are paid for and already at Pruany's warehouse. I just paid for the five darker items on the right an hour or so ago. The Boy London sweater is only like $8 so I'm just gonna take a chance and order it. I'll just ask them to remove any tags and pack it at the bottom. But, yeah I'm done with online shopping for me until next year. I have like five other packages coming in the mail and doing two Taobao orders in less than a month is such a bad idea with Christmas around the corner.

Read the god damn fucking faq you fucktard.

Taobaospree is good, but expensive. Their SS fee is 10%.
Bhiner is 5%, Taobaotrends is 6% (if you pay via gift), Taobaoring is 8%, and Pruary is 8%.

If you care for the cheapest option, it would probably be Taobaoring or Taobaotrends as they both offer SAL shipping.

Taobaoring has been stingy in not giving refunds for orders that are 4 months old (see archive for more information). So if something is handmade, prepare to possibly wait 4 months before it even gets to your SS.

I personally use Taobaoring because 8% fee, low conversion rate (it's higher than Google's, but every SS jacks up the conversion rate) and they offer SAL shippimg. Oh, and they take photos of all your items free of charge.

Ok, the bags!

First of all, holy shit wow they are gorgeous.

All of the bags are decently sized, the stitching is neat, they look very true to stock photos. All have a front functional pocket and a removable shoulder strap. They're fake leather (well, obviously I guess).

The brown bag closes with magnet snaps. It seems like the sturdiest of the three. It's lined and the lining has some pockets sewn into it.

The blue bag has little tiny details scored into the material, like scallops and eyelet flowers. It closes with a hook. It has no lining, but there is a little pocket stitched in anyway, and looks nice and neat on the inside.

The red bag closes with a clip you twist sideways. It's lined and has pockets. Easily the cutest of the three. My only complaint about it is that the zipper was put in kind of weird. (You can see what mean when you look at the picture). It doesn't look good but since it's on the inside I won't mind as long as it doesn't break on me.

In conclusion, I received three beautiful loliable bags that are tasteful enough for everyday use. Hopefully they'll stand up to the punishment, but only time will tell. For ~80 yuan each these were a fucking steal, but I'd honestly be willing to pay regular price too.

All pictures were taken with flash (I live in a cave apparently) but the bags aren't really so grotesquely shiny.

For the bunny and kitty tights. They fit me perfectly and they're very cute, I tried on the cat ones and the face sits right above my knees. For reference, I'm 5'5" with 21" thighs.

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=35340945687 - these are not so much tights as they are fleece lined leggings! I somehow managed to stretch them over my butt so I am very impressed with them. The cat pattern distorts a little bit, so I guess I get to wear a fat cat on my legs, haha.

>>7213763
It's not so much of a dress, as it is...a shirt. Once again, I'm 5'5" and the hem barely goes past my crotch. Might be better on shorter people, but not much I imagine. The fabric is really, really thin but thankfully it isn't scratchy.

Ah same, anon. I have huge feet and it makes me really nervous to order shoes online especially from China where almost every girl has small feet.

I'm a size 9.5/10 but I ordered the 43 which I hear is like a 10.5/11 and they fit perfectly. I had to break them in since they were a bit on the stiff side but they're a-okay now. I would suggest ordering a size up seeing as they run a bit small and so you can wear socks with them comfortably.

Just as the rest of the dresses, it's way too short, maybe an inch or two below my crotch. The construction isn't the greatest, the zipper is a little bit crooked. It's not lined, either, and the fabric is not the softest so I'd recommend wearing something under it. The sleeves are stretchy so that makes it a bit more flexible in terms of fit, since it only comes in one size. And it comes with a detachable brooch. This store seemed like it was cheaper than some others, so I think that shows. Still, I think it's pretty cute.

>>7213870
I'll keep that in mind, thank you!

>>7214245
Oh my god these are so great. Not sure if they're all cotton as the store claims, but they're soft, stretchy, and the lace on them is very decent. The pink one is a bit thin, the black one is thicker. I haven't tried the white one on yet, but it looks nice as well. There's two layers of lace on the black turtleneck and unlike the stock photo where both are black the bottom layer is white on mine. I still like it. But yeah, they're adorable as fuck. I bought all of mine from mi-love.taobao.com. Would recommend.

I am really impressed with the quality of the dress, excepting that one star is missing off of the waist tie. Fabric is gorgeous. It's slightly too big for me in the bust but nothing that can't be fixed by a seamstress. I love it - print is super-crisp and matte. Does anyone know how can I make it so any mail arriving on December 6th arrives to my new house instead? The people buying our house are renovators or developers, so they just buy houses in order to tear down and build apartments, they won't actually be living in the house, but the closure date is next week so I need to be gone by then. Shipping was only like $30 via EMS to the US when I ordered 2 pairs of shoes from Antaina.
SAL is slower than EMS, as well.
I bought two pairs of shoes from Antaina plus EMS to the US for ~100 I think. One pair of those shoes would be like $50-60 plus shipping from Clobba. It's not worth it in my opinion.

I just made an order for a large item. The quotes given to me for shipping from Pruany were $90 SAL, $99 EMS and $135 Airmail. Wtf is up with these quotes if SAL is supposed to be so much cheaper?

$9 is hardly breaking the bank considering the massive difference in shipping time, so I'm really baffled right now. Is this sort of a small price gap just unusual?

Surface Spell St George review:

I ordered this through TaobaoNow and had no problems with the reservation, postage etc.

The dress is self runs true to size for a Large, the exterior fabric does have a slight shine and is fully lined with cotton.

The printed skirt base runs the whole way around, unlike some brand prints (more recent I.W skirt prints).
The draping ruffle is well made and there were only a few loose threads.
The lace is a nice quality, a little stiff but well made.
The print is clear with very little pixelation and the colors are strong and bright.

Petticoat strength: You're going to have to double up for this dress. My own photo shows the dress being worn with a Classical Puppets Daily cupcake and a Malco Modes Daily A over the top to help with the fullness of the bottom.

My only complaint is that the zipper does get stuck around the area where the bodice meets the skirt portion, it's quite a busy area as Surface spell also placed the ruffle skirt and waist ties in the same fabric portion.

If you would like more pictures or details, please feel free to ask.

I've found the construction to be decent for what it's worth, but I have to disagree with anon that it's a thick fabric - it's more like a sort of thin polyester suitable for summer. The print was very detailed and crisp though. Only problem I really had with it was that the waistline was kind of weird and sat slightly weirdly on me (although later on when I put the waist tie on PROPERLY the effect was not anywhere near as bad as this), and the lining was sort of weird being chiffon. Otherwise I'd rate it as pretty decent quality.

Those hime wigs with the bump - anyone have a term for the hime part? I know I can look up "gal" wig, but it doesn't give me the bump I want. I want a wig with that bump, not a hairpiece.

My package was posted via SAL to the UK on the 5th November, but my tracking hasn't updated since the 9th (its status says "Departure from outward office of exchange").
Should I be worrying yet? Is there any chance it'll get here in the next 3 weeks?

That's why I'm confused. Weight was not listed, however, and I didn't think to ask.

My other question: is SAL only cheap to the US? Because I'm in Australia and the price gaps between SAL and EMS are always similar to the one I just experienced, so I've never bothered to use anything but Express.

It depends on the weight.

>> No.7221477

I've found the weight for it. 8.2kg.

According to their cost estimation page, SAL is 90.73USD and EMS is discounted at 55% to 99.92USD.

Are there any other shopping services that offer a caculator of the same type? Because using the $15 for the first kilo + 10 for each kilo after that comes up to roughly $87.

No since non-taobao orders seem to arrive just fine on time.

Maybe there was no direct flight to your country?

Holy shit this is so frustrating. I shipped my package via SAL on the 7th and it's not even in the country yet, a friend of mine shipped hers via SAL two weeks later and it's already through canadian customs.

So I'm definitely thinking it's more inconsistent as fuck than just plain slow.

I just want the damn thing in the country so it's a lot easier to stop worrying about.

At first, I was gonna go shipping with EMS so my package would get here faster, but after seeing all these delays, I'm thinking of either going with DHL or just saying fuck it to the holidays and use SAL because that's cheaper.

So seagulls: EMS, DHL or SAL?

SAL will always be slower in December, just a word of advice from /a/ buyfag threads.

Pretty much everything is slower, EMS got mainly problems with big orders due to the chinese customs being slow as fuck right now.

I was contemplating sending SAL after the holidays if getting my stuff before is just not possible. Ugh. What about DHL, is it even worth it this time of year?

/cgl/, I'm starting to worry. This is the second time Bhiner has liked a picture of my cat on Facebook. I post a lot of other pictures but they don't like those, only the ones of my cat, wat. Pls no Bhiner stay away from my cat.

Not going to happen. If you read the thread, people here using EMS took at least 3 weeks for their packages to even get into their country.

EMS goes by every 0.5kg/500g
SAL goes by every 1kg/1000g

So with your price, $90.73 USD, you are paying for 9kg whereas with EMS you are paying for 8.2kg

You people who keep complaining about SAL are pissing me off. SAL takes 30-50 days on average to arrive.

EMS has taken me over 3 weeks and it hasn't even entered my country yet.

I had my package shipped last year around this time via SAL and it didn't get to me until the end of March.

If you want to wait 3-4 months, go ahead.

It's been 3 weeks via EMS and I'm still waiting for it to enter my country.

Can you not read what anon wrote?

>it is finally in New York. Too bad I live all the way in fucking Washington.

Anon is implying that the package arrived in their country, not that they received it...

My package also made it into the USA today. I just checked tracking and it's already departing the US's customs.

"Depart USPS Sort Facility" but no time.

Hopefully I should receive my package tomorrow or at the latest, the next day. I can't wait.

My package is over 20kg and I ordered a bunch of gyaru and loliable clothing. I really hope nothing was confiscated because I ordered a ton of replicas as well.
