Show me some decent pics of people rocking Bodyline pieces.

Also, which Bodyline pieces look better in real life than they do in the website product images? Pic related seems like it has potential, but the photo doesn't flatter it in the slightest.

I own this dress (L388 on the website) in black, lavender and white, and all three are seriously gorgeous. The princess sleeves it comes with (not pictured here) are a bit much for my taste, but they could help make a great hime coord if you were that way inclined.

I love (and own) the carousel print in black, but hate all other colorways. The colors are so clashy on them...

The Magical Cosmetics skirt however has been one of my favourite items for a long time. Even if it lacks a bit detailing of, say, Rose Toilette, it keeps the similar feel while offering more elegant and vibrant colors.

The print isn't terrible if you like the painting-style prints (though the fact tha the stock picture's print is off-center bugs the hell out of me), but the bodice and neckline are just so plain and unflattering. The only way I could personally see this as wearable would be to alter it to be a skirt, maybe high waist with some tasteful, complementary ribboning...

I don't want to post pictures of myself here, so I'll give you a rundown of what I like to wear with my sax love jewellery skirt:

Pearl accessories are your best friend here. I wear pearl bracelets and a small/ simple pearl necklace, OR I swap the necklace out for a pearl headband (wearing both looks a bit too much). I have some cream VW shoes that have a pearl ankle strap so I usually also wear those.

I also have a very simple cream blouse which has pearl detailing on the collar, and across the chest. I'm personally not a fan of your typical frilly sweet blouses, so I would suggest going with a white/ ivory/ cream classic style blouse, something elegant and simple. I feel like this skirt, while sweet, has a certain opulent, classic feel to it. Although if sweet is your thing, something with puffy sleeves could look nice, maybe even a light pink blouse with some dark pink accent ribbons.

I have a blue blazer that matches perfectly with the blue of the skirt, and I like to wear a brooch with pearls on it clipped to the lapel.

I hope some of this was useful!

I'm checking out her tumblr right now and I don't know what you're talking about. No experience with her indie brand, but you think full corsets and those crazy shoes are "toned down" and "subtle"? Anyway, that description could be applied to Fanny Rosie (by her own admission), and everyone loves her (deservedly).

I live in GA, where the weather isn't cold even when it's cold. I've worn this when it dropped below 50 degrees before, but I don't often get the chance to wear it.

The more you know!

That's the colorway I have. Personally, I think it's really nice for an off brand coat. It's fully lined and very warm and the fabric feels nice, not cheap.

Oh, I guess they aren't selling it anymore. It's my only experience with Bodyline coats, but for the price, I would definitely buy one again if it were cute.

Oh god, she looks exactly the same on the most of her pictures, her cords are boring too... She has nice hair tho, I wish she did something with them.

I felt the opposite, I hated the fabric and it felt cheap compared to my moitie skirt so I sold it straight away.

I think she looks pretty. God forbid a coord isn't a clusterfuck of accessories.

>comparing bodyline to brand

What did you expect?

Well everyone seemed to praise the skirt but yea I hated it. I was comparing it to a really plain moitie skirt, you could tell the bodyline material was really cheap. I wish people would stop recommending bodyline actually as most of their stuff is awful, if it's not the design it's bad fabric choices or bad prints.

I agree with this sentiment so much.

It's probably on the Japanese site judging by the model.

It sure did when I used it back in October.

I'm not that experienced yet but to me it seems like you're getting what you pay for. So far I own one IW JSK and a few Bodyline pieces. It certainly doesn't measure up to the IW dress: the fabric is stiffer, there's no lining, etc. But luckily for the pieces I bought, they're not like, Milanoo-tier eye-searing bad.

Sure, I could get similar pieces on auctions/closet child but I needed instant gratification and filling up a cart with a few things was very easy.

It's almost paradoxical because I see Bodyline recommended as a cheap alternative for beginners, yet you need some knowledge (or good taste at least) to avoid the pieces that are painfully ita.

Bought some stuff off the site last week and it worked.
