Summer 2012 Sac bro here. Hella cheesecake factory,

summer's wasn't bad. More stuff went right, masquerade was 20 times better than the winter one. Still never found out why the greek festival threw a bitch fit and kicked us all out. Also there was the grope-y hotel staff.

Winter should be fun, working on finishing up costumes for it.

Didn't go to the Summer Sac but this is probably going to be my only con for a long time. I really hope it's worth it.

The rave's sucked for the last few years, so I don't expect it to go any better this year.

It was my first time at the new location, so it was pretty exciting. It had its ups and downs (moreso than any SacAnime I've been to in the past), so here's to hoping winter's will be more good times and less bad!

My artist friends told me things have improved a lot since they moved to the convention center, and since ALA has moved over a weekend, it's the closest thing I have to a local con during winter break, so it's convenient. Got a dealer's hall booth since AA ran out, will be sharing with a friend or two. We'll see how it goes.

Kinda glad I won't be homestucking it, but gonna miss helping run the meet ups and keep them under control and running smooth.

For all the shit the Homestuckers get, they were actually really well behaved last Summer. No big hallway-cramping meetups, no tackling of other people, and I personally got out of there without a trace of Grey bodypaint wiping off on me.

Having the official meet up on Friday was to thank for that, but at the same time it was sad to see how many less showed up for that meet up than the winter one. Especially since it was my last time hosting a HS meet.

We're definitely going to be in the Masquerade again, but with my financial situation there's no way I'll have a new costume ready in time. SO, prepare for more TF2 shenanigans

Huh, not sure if I wanna go this year or not. I've yet to go to it, and it sounds fun, but kinda expensive and I don't have a cosplay ready that I'd like to wear...

Also, how hard is it to walk around? Is it super packed? I have to use a cane because of a recent leg surgery, and if it's too cramped of quarters, not worth it.

It's not cramped at all since they moved to the new venue and there's an elevator that almost no one uses right to the dealers hall to get to the upper floors for panels and game rooms, plus its going to be a little less crowded as a winter con. The guest list (in my opinion) is one of their best ever and the cosplay has improved by leaps and bounds over the years, not to mention the masquerade is always a good time.
