This outfit looks amazing! I'm in love with the tights you picked out. You really don't need a whole lot more to pull it all together. A simple white hairpiece (something like Innocent World's headbands) will further balance out the colors and retain the classic look. A long cardigan like that would look funny squashed against the poof of the skirt. I recommend instead keeping it open or buying a short cardigan (where it ends at the ribs rather than hips) or bolero.

I think sacred symbols (crosses, angels, stars) are the way to go with Ekaterina. Reindeer and jingle bells will just look chintzy with such a classy dress. Hopefully it'll be warm at whatever parties you're attending, because I would never add a coat or cardigan. Long gloves are an elegant touch that will give you a bit more coverage.

The main issue with this is that the cardigan doesn't really go. There's not really any green anywhere else in the outfit, so it looks very unbalanced. It's a bit more matchy-matchy but a pinkish cardigan would match the print better and bring some color to the top without being too jarring.

Wine would work, but I feel like if you used wine in the blouse you'd lose the nice silhouette formed by the contrast trim/bows/straps to the rest of the dress, they'd just mesh in with the blouse. Guys, I need serious help with this dress. It's old Meta, but I'm having a hard time picturing it as lolita (not that my petti fits under it anyway), and I can't work out what to wear with it as normal clothes, since it hangs so weirdly (no shaping at all, it's a straight A from the shoulders). It did have a large detachable peter pan collar with an obnoxious button, but the part where it attaches rolls up and it looks pretty bad, so I took it off.

I bought it in a cheap Meta set on EBay, and I only really wanted the other dress and the cardigan (it also came with a tiny purse and a couple of accessories), so if I can't do anything with it, I'm not exactly going to be heartbroken, but I don't know what I'm going to do with it. It's going to be nearly impossible to sell on its own, I think. Maybe I'll try and flog it to Beyond Retro. I just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas for it first.

Personally, I think turtlenecks are adorable in lolita! Some can be a bit plain, so they generally look better with a JSK in my opinion.

Unfortunately, I just can't pull them off as I have a very round face and they just make it worse.

I've a strong desire to use tartan everywhere at the moment.
The dress is VM velvet crown print with a grey fitted jacket from Fan+friend, the tights are a mixture of grey/purple/black/navy. I'm also hoping to use a grey beret with tartan bow to help use the grey through out the co-ord. The bag is I.W in black and I was going to use my cameo brooch and ring set for basic jewelry, I'll probably add more accessories later

I would do your current coord with more classic accessories and different shoes (not green and close toed), actually. The change in jewelry would match the aesthetic of your headwear better. I really love the idea of the laurels, though.

The green seems to suggest 'nature' to me too. I wold do a summer coord with
-a flower-trimmed hat (super classic and lady-like looking with leaves to tie into the green OP, possibly pink, cream or some other subdued color roses)

You can go a lot of directions with this. But since that dress is so pretty, I think it should be the main focal point. So I wouldn't coordinate it with gold shoes or anything like that. The gold should be an accent, especially if it's in your jewelry. (Which I think would especially enhance the treasure theme. )

This depends on what you do with your headwear, but it looks like your best choices for footwear colors would be this: a matching blue, white or possibly sax. Here's how I would coordinate the.

Matching blue
-Go for a hime-ish feel. Pearlxgold jewelry err'where.
-White tights/socks with a (very subtle!) gold accent
-White fishnet/lace/crochet gloves
-Hime wig with pearls scattered in it. (Wig possibly a gold-blonde if it looks good on you.)

-Any of AP's cuter accessories with gold accents and similar motifs, especially if they come in a sax colorway.
-Something Sax on the top half of the outfit to balance it out. The sleeves are not removable so a cardigan or bolero might be awkward. I'll leave it to your discretion.

If it were me I would want to do a slightly-updated old school coord with a hint of classic. I'd want to look as much like I had been ripped out of one of Baby's older ads as possible.

Something like pic related might be nice (it's a JSK, but you get my drift) you could even bring out the red by using floral accents in the same shade and red shoes. If you style your hair/wig like pic related as well I will love you forever. Some additional tips:

-Make sure your socks match the yolk of your dress
-Matching shoes and bag make the coord look more well balanced. If you still want a cream-colored bag but red shoes, just make sure there's some red on it, even if it's just a bag clip.
-If bonnets are not your thing, then a classic hat or floral headdress will be just as pretty

Ok, I was thinking the same thing you are- matching that red, I know Sweet Mildred does commissions so maybe you could ask her to do one where the majority of the headdress is that burgundy color, with just the raven being black? That way it's not overwhelming black, and that way you also won't then have to tie in a lot of black with other accessories. Same for the other crow themed accessories you might add- maybe try to get them with accent colors that tone the black down. Crow skulls seem to be a popular ornament I've seen in some lolita accessory shops lately, so perhaps crow skull jewelry in natural bone color will add some of the theme to your coord without the heavy black as well? There is serious lacking in this coord. A few things to consider:

The blouse seems too plain for that JSK. The JSK is already very very plain, and that headpiece is very, very far from plain. To make it match, you need a way more intricate blouse.

The white necklace, if you use that blouse (or a similar one), will be against a white jabbot. It will barely be seen.. I suggest using a wine necklace instead, to have more wine accents.

Your coord is building up on gray x white with wine accents, so I think the AP tights would be better. I would wear black shoes with a red accent or shoe clip/laces on them.

The necklace, although is very nice with crows and white, is silver. I assume you want the coord to match with gold, so you need to switch that out.

Your accessories should be gold, black and wine.

Wow, this is really really bad. This screams special-fucking-snowflake and closet coord so loudly I can't even hear myself think.
Start over from scratch and don't use anything you've attempted to coord with this dress in this collage.
If you're ordering these items online definitely avoid trying to match that reddish pink (except maybe with a couple of SMALL accessories) because you don't know what processing was done to the item photos you're looking at or how different they may look on your monitor vs. real life. Stick to matching the black and what looks like off-white.

H&M has or had some pink bowler hats in that shade that I think would look really darling with it, maybe worn with pigtails? I am a little obsessed with irregular choice shoes. I think the blazer is a tad long, but that was the only thing I could find in the right colour and I think it lets everything else be exciting. I've given a few options that would work better with either pair of shoes - I think the bracelet is better with the pair on the left because icecream motif, but the donut earrings are cute with the shoes on the right. IC anon here- I think you might be me, lol. I'm about to pay my first pair of vogs off and was already looking at another pair!

As for irregular Choice, the first issue of Can't Touch This with the black/gold brocade is my dream shoe, and I forever curse myself for not buying when I had the chance. I've been waiting for them to pop up again on ebay for years with a saved search, but nothing. Not even another size. ;_; Just those awful ditzy floral print ones they made for the rerelease instead of the brocade, which I will be forever bitter about.

Okay so I'm planing to make a gyaru inspired outfit for an event that's coming up.

However I'm super bad at planing and deciding, so, please tell me if I'm at least on the right track here and what can be better, or if it just looks like a bad idea all in all.

I'm like 95ish lbs, 5'4 feet, so super skinny, in case my body size matters.

I know the wig won't come in the exact same colour, but might be a bit darker.

Also trying to find shoes.
