If you find a material in the same color (either stretch or non stretch) you can unstitch any shirring and add a few inches of the other material to the back. I altered a few dresses for a friend this way, and once you put lacing over top of the added material it looks fine.

Also some of these girls look very short. A lot of dresses can fit a 28" waist somewhat easily, which is actually quite large for someone who is 5'

This is unaltered, and brand. Dress goes up to about 110cm bust 90cm waist (or rather underbust on me since I'm busty). At the time, I was very close to the max measurements and it was pretty snug. I own dresses that go up a lot larger though. So it really is shirring. However, I've lost about 25lbs and this is a lot more comfortable. I'm the original anon who made that post. It does vary a lot on body type, but as 5'9" with a twenty eight inch waist and am healthy for my height but not very slim. I've got a few friends who have the same measurements as me, just eight inches shorter who have been instructed by physicians to lose weight. A twenty eight inch waist on any height isn't very skinny at all, but it's not gigantic either.

I can't imagine anyone at 5' with a twenty eight inch waist looking thin at all. If you plug in 5'-5'2" with a pant size 10 on my body gallery that becomes plainly obvious. But maybe that's just my opinion.

Depends on your measurements. If you're a small frame but chubby, you might be okay. I'm currently a 100cm bust 84cm waist and I wear full back shirred brand (AP, IW), blouses from Meta, knit boleros from Baby and AP. I only have issues with brand skirts that don't have full elastic waistbands. I've had to modify those though.

If you have no waist definition, you might want to go with things that are high waisted. I tend to like them because they make my bust appear smaller, but I'm a smaller measurement. You might have difficulty finding things with that cut at your size. For your petti, go with an a-line. It really helps when you have less waist definition and tends to elongate your torso. Cupcake is best suited for people that have smaller waists or more waist definition (like an hourglass shape)

Make sure that 90cm waist measurement is actually your underbust. Unless you are an extreme pear shape with a very tiny cup size, your bust is going to make the waist hit closer to your underbust. So always make sure your underbust fits within the listed max measurements of the waist and you're golden (usually about 3cm under for blouse and breathing room)

Honestly, I find OPs to not work as great because they typically sit higher due to the sleeves and me being busty. I can't adjust the straps lower. So they tend to ride up or look really short.

The other issue with OPs is that they tend to have static cuff measurements (meaning no stretch). I'm no fatty-chan, and even I have issues with the average cuff size because I'm muscular and they're meant for stick arms.
