It's not my story but something I heard, probably from /cgl/ years ago. At this one convention there was this cosplayer dressed up as Belldandy in full wings, very graceful look too.

She's getting her photos taken and some little girl runs up to her, mistakes the cosplayer for a genuine angel, and asks the cosplayer to tell her dad hello when she goes back to heaven because her daddy died in a war. The cosplayer doesn't know what to do, sees the face of the young girl's mother giving her a "please don't break her heart" type of look, so the cosplayer goes along and pretends to be a real angel for this girl.

Alright, but I've edited out parts of the cap for anonymity's sake. (the original mentions the group) The conversation was a lot longer and she pushed a lot harder, but this was just the best part.

Let me start off by saying that “Res” is the sort of girl who enjoys making costumes more than she does wearing them. As a matter of fact, in the many years I have known her she has yet to wear one at a convention and although she’s constantly finishing projects they are seldom for herself- unless it’s a display piece.
She’s been at this for a long time and she’s very good. Even in high school she was our go-to girl for making just about anything- if you had a question on macgyvering something Res was the guru and she didn’t want a thing in return except for you not to hover over her while she worked. Props and costumes just sort of came naturally to her and she’s made good money off it in recent years. I’ve always thought of her as one of the guys but my friend “Loki” had it bad for her the second they met two years ago- I know; I introduced them.
It was not long ago when Res texted me to say she would be vending at an upcoming convention- this would be only her second time doing so and she was excited but nervous as her business partner would be unable to attend and the venue was relatively large.

Anyway he obliged of course and when the first day of the convention hit we headed to her table early to meet up. She had a great set up and a center piece that really attracted people- a Captain America shield with battle damage. It was great, real weighty too…Made of some kind of metal, felt like steel but could be aluminum, I know she works with metal a lot but I don’t know shit about that sort of thing. Anyway she had that and a clean shiny one that had been commissioned earlier and was to be picked up by the buyer later that day. We polished it up with a rag and put it on a stand behind the booth for show and comparison.
Loki was running a tad late but the only one worried was him (judging by his frantic texts about parking). We chatted and I took note of a girl approaching the booth with interest – She was dressed up as Lady Deadpool and had what I assume to be her boyfriend not far behind. I’m not a fan of Deadpool and quite frankly the influx of cosplayers dressing up in cheap zentais and trying to act “hurdurIncharacter” as him annoy the fuck out of me but I try to reserve my judgment before direct interaction.

Res turned from her conversation with a customer and thanked her.
“Can I touch it?” Asked Lady Deadpool
“Not that one,” Res said “But you’re welcome to hold this one if you’d like a picture” She gestured to the battle damaged shield.
“The Shiny one is spoken for.”
“Oh so I can only touch the ugly one?!” Lady Deadpool cried in mock …whatever the fuck she was trying to portray. Her boyfriend laughed and that was when I noticed he was recording us…and she was resting her full hand on the shield.
Res straightened up “Dude, please don’t touch that one I’m serious. I gotta’ present it to the buyer any minute and I don’t want smudges.”
Lady Deadpool momentarily back off and showed her hands.
“I’m not trying to be dick-“ Res began but she was cut off by a string of
“I know, I know” s and eventually the pair disappeared back into the crowds.
My girlfriend went to the shield and wiped off the fresh smear to find ugly black lint particles in the mix..
“Eeaugh…her gloves must be sweaty or something…” She muttered.
Loki showed up and jogged over to the booth nervously with his helmet in hand He awkwardly hugged Res careful to not muss his costume and ignoring that she wasn’t a person who typically greeted people with hugs. We relayed the event and had a laugh before moving on, exploring what the con had to offer and returning after a few hours. Res needed a food break and Loki and I offered to watch the booth while she did so with my gf. We were there for about thirty minutes before I spotted Lady Deadpool again and pointed her out to Loki. She approached and asked where Res was.

Loki and I both protested which got a laugh out her boyfriend and Loki stood up and asked her not to do it again.

He wiped off the smudge and just as he sat back down she said
“You missed a spot!”
“What was that?” he asked, visibly annoyed. I was progressively getting closer to breaking her boyfriend’s jaw the more I heard his goose-like laugher.
“Riiiiight here.” She touched it…AGAIN with her pointer finger in mock innocence.
“Ok. Stop.” He said. Standing up again
“Stop what?” she shrugged.
He gave her a hard look and wiped it off.
“I’m not wiping this again. Stop it.”
I took note that again her boyfriend was recording the whole interaction.
“is your accent real?” Lady Deadpool asked, tipping her head to the side.
“Is your stupidity an act?” Loki asked.
“Calm down, man.” Her boyfriend said, stepping closer.
“You guys need to back off for a while ok.” I said sternly.
“We’re not playing with you. Just go.”
They left, mocking Loki’s voice and calling me “casual Thor” (like I give a fuck.gif) and we both agreed to kick the guy’s ass if we saw him outside of the con later. At least I wanted to. Loki said He didn’t want to ruin his good boot covers by ramming them up that retard’s ass.
The girls returned and we spared them the details but said LD had returned and “been annoying again.” Res was bothered but didn’t dwell on it and my girlfriend joined me at the booth so Loki could roam the floor with Res and “show her some figmas” (If you know what I mean.jpeg….). I told my GF what really happened and she said that if Lady Deadpool returned up to her old tricks she’d shove that video camera up her asshole (Ahh my woman…).

We spotted her again in the general area but she was preoccupied talking with some neckbeards in the far corner so she quickly went out of mind. I was sure the worst was over. When Loki and Res returned it was happily with the shield’s buyer and he accepted it graciously. Pics were taken. A good time was had and Lady Deadpool made her final move.
“Can I take a picture with the ugly shield, Now?” She asked Res.
“I’m sure you guys are sick of me annoying you but I’d really appreciate it.”
Res looked around at us and then to her.
“Pleeeease.”
“Alright…” She said with trepidation.
“You’ll be careful?” She asked with a pause.
“I’ll be SO careful, thank you.”
Loki stood up and handed it to her with a tight jaw.
“Oh, will you pose with me Loki?” Lady Deadpool asked.
“If it’s the last I’ll see of you…” He said.
They took the picture and he returned it to the display.
“One more!” Lady Deadpool pleaded with one finger up, We were all visibly eager to get her out from behind the booth but she wanted a “Group shot.” And we obliged to move things along.
“Loki you sit too.” She ordered and as he moved past her to take his seat ….
My jaw dropped as she pulled it out from under him.
There came her boyfriend’s laughter and an audible crash as his head hit the bottom of the display and his feet scooted the booth’s table forward. My girlfriend sprang into action and settled the shield as it rattled and nearly toppled from its rack. Res grabbed Loki by his shoulder and lifted his head asking frantically if he was alright. He was more embarrassed then hurt and his face was as red as a smacked ass. He reached around blindly for his helmet (which he’d dropped) and cursed as he examined it.
We were already starting to draw attention when I realized I was yelling.

Never in my life have I ever raised my voice to a woman like that…but if the role were reversed I wouldn’t have bitched out and kept my distance like her boyfriend did. She just kept raising her hands and I couldn’t hear her protest over the blood pounding in my ears.
My girlfriend asked a nearby gawker to call security -I later found out and they were there in a flash, approaching the couple as they fled from the scene. As things settled down my friends tidied up with the help of the nearby vendors and I kept watch. I noticed LD’s boyfriend showing the security his footage and LD being asked to remove her mask. They were escorted out and we were told that they were no longer welcome at the venue.
Loki’s left horn was cracked and the paint had a bad chip but he still got his free lunch….

Found this one a few months ago and saved it:

During my freshman year of high school, I (like other unfortunate kids who couldn’t drive) had to ride the bus to and from school. It wasn’t too bad (except from the “swag” kids). I had a few friends on the bus so it wasn’t awful. But this in particular day on the bus was different… A LOT different

I got on the bus with my friend who we’ll call Theo. Theo was a guy that I’ve known since I was about 12 or so. We watched a few animes together and played team fortress 2 with each other. While we sat in our seats talking about how much Hetalia helped us out on a really difficult test, the ugliest, most foul smelling weeabo appeared in front of our eyes. We’ll call the hambeast Hern. Hern was about 6 feet tall, rather large, and smelt like someone took a giant shit on him. “omg, yall like hetalia too?!” he shouted. I nodded and Theo just blankly stared at him. Hern went on about how he thought Ukraine was super hot. I didn’t really care because I go on about stating who I think is attractive in that show. Then, the unthinkable happened...

Hern says, “Man, If I was a character in hetalia and if Ukraine was a virgin, I’d fuck her so hard!” Theo and I looked at each other and began to laugh. Theo clams himself down a little and points to me stating, “man, if you that anon is still a virgin.” Hern’s expression goes from happy go lucky to fucking serial rapist. ”You…. you’re a virgin? how? you’re too pretty to be a virgin!” I didn’t get any red flags, I just thought he was being nice! After a few minutes of him oggling over me, the bus stops at my stop. I wave to Theo and say goodbye to him. The all of a sudden, Hern gets off at my stop and follows me. Once the bus leaves, he comes running after me. “Hey Anon! Wait, I want to talk to you!” I was now starting to get a little creeped out. But since I was a bit of a push over, I turn around and he’s right there, literally breathing on me.

"Wow Anon…. you’re really pretty. You’re almost as pretty as Ukraine…” I just smile at the fucker. I made up some bullshit excuse so I could leave, but he followed me all the way home. (I used to live a long way from my bus stop.) I didn’t think of it or want think about Hern. He really freaked me out and I was hoping he would’ve taken a hint and just left me alone. LOL NOPE! The next morning I arrive at my bus stop, realizing Hern is right there waiting for me...

“Hey Anon~. How was your night? Mine was great because I kept thinking about you.” I became speechless, what the fuck am I supposed to say? Luckily, the bus pulls up and I just hop on the bus and sit next to the biggest Jock I find.

When we arrive at school, he followed me to my friend’s meeting place. I whispered to my friends my experience with Hern the Hambeast. They wanted to find a different place to chill so we left. But thing was, each stop we left, Hern would be in the same exact stop we were standing at. WTF.

The stalking got worse. Hern found out my house number and would call late at night and would breath into the phone. Every.Night. I got so scared that I told my mom. I didn’t know what to do, I just thought he was being nice at first.

The stalking finally stopped when my mom called the number Hern was using. Luckily, she got a hold of his parents and the stalking stopped.

Every con I go to, I keep expecting to come back with a horror story of strangers, but I never have. Turns out that I had one brewing with my old cosplay group before I hightailed the fuck outta there and dropped all contact. Most of them are reasonably normal, but with the unofficially official "leader" of the group, she's begun to drag them all into weeb-hood. I'm talking squealing, fangirling, OTP-obsessed, band-wagon hopping, efame obsessed weeb-hood. And because I'm a poor college kid that can't afford five+ new and perfect cosplays per con, she almost completely ignored me in favor of the others. Thank goodness for that.

Be me 21 at anime con on a rainy Friday.

Meeting up with a friend(girl - 20) and her younger sister(19). They are great to chill with but they are a bit on the weebo side, just enough to make you cringe a bit, plus the younger one is emotionally unstable. Not really interested in either of them but man does the younger sister have huge tits... like, fuck, they're huge.

So I'm already late to meetup with them because of work plus heavy rain makes traffic go slow.
Anyway, I finally arrive and find them reading at the Manga Library section of con. Friend is dressed in Salior Mercury cosplay and sister in reg clothes.
We walk around the con and take pictures with cosplayers, dealers room etc. So friend says she's feeling tired and might be sick. By this time it's fucking pouring outside. Me being a gent offer to walk them to their car, we have one umbrella so we walk close to each other.
Get to their car and older sister asks younger one for car keys(cause she was cosplaying and had no pockets/bag). Younger sister can find them, they start to panic. Older sister makes younger one go back to con and seach for the keys, she keeps the umbrella ofcourse....
I go back with the younger sister running back to the convention and search everywhere for the keys, no luck. She remembers she dropped her bag "OUTSIDE" the front of the con building and might have dropped them there.
Greeeaaat...
We go outside and she starts looking all around and so do I. Still nothing. It's raining pretty fucking hard now and I'm fucking soaked. I turn to look at her and I fucking freeze. The younger sister is on her knees crying, like alooot. But that's not what gets me, it's the fact that she's also soaking wet and her tits are showing through her shirt. I try to cheer her up and walk her inside the con again but she wont stop crying.

Finally get inside and everyone is staring at us, mostly her. I tell her that her tits are showing, in order to get her to cover herself up(yes nipples can be easily made out). She stares at me then down at her tits and fucking wails, wails like a fucking banshee. I step infront of her so no one can see and now the guys are fucking pissed off at me for blocking their view and the girls are giving me reeaaallly nasty looks. This goes on for another 10 minutes when I get a call from the older sister. She found the keys. The car was unlocked and the keys were still in the ignition. I feel a mix of rage and happiness. At least I got to see some fucking E cup tits out of all of this.
Unfortunately word got around fast and a rumor spread that there was a guy making a girl cry really badly and I was later told I was not allowed back in for the remainder of that day. Awesome way to start the con...

I think I have become obliquely acquainted with two girls like that. It's one of those 'friend of a friend of a friend' things, but they've kind of latched onto my group of friends. Last AN I go dressed as someone from Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji. Find out there's a photo shoot so I message their board saying I'll be there as my character.
Person running it {we're call her Bob.} messages me back saying not to come to their shoot because she already had someone dressed as that character. Turn out the person running it is a friend of a friend.
Got invited to the another photoshoot {more accurately the one that was actually submitted into the photoshoot list.}
So I go and meet a bunch of people I know and have fun when half way through the shoot, Bob shows up with two of her friends. One is this skinny tall chick who looks anorexic and I've got no problems with her, her other friend however is this landwhale who is the most weeabo bitch i know. she's like 26 and acts like a fucking 13 year old who's dressed in this horrible sailor moon outfit. Bob is dressed as an equally horrible Mey-rin cosplay.
The Weeb see's me and feels she needs to talk to me while spitting every three seconds, complaining how she's bored and what shit. While bob is spending the whole fucking rest of the shoot telling people what to do, making her slash parring come up and not letting anyone else get to have any fun.Incuding making sure if I or a few other people were going to come up for a picture or had suggestions, talking louder and making other people go instead.
This went on till we had to move for the next people to shoot. only to hear her later complaining on the forums how horribly unorganized it was.

There isn't much to tell, really. One of their more recent comments where they were talking about a fanfiction they read where a character had excessive scarring and one of them goes "I'm having "so many feels about damaged homosexuals". That pretty much sums their whole attitude up towards physical trauma, psychological issues and physical handicaps. They kind of forget that there are people attached to these traits that they're fawning over and what's 'cute' to them might not be fun for the person experiencing it.

For instance, my boyfriend's burn scars cover a good portion of one side of his body, including his face. When I first met him he was still coping with depression, anxiety and PTSD from his accident. He only left his house if it was an emergency. He's working towards recovery and getting better, but still struggles with a lot of these things and is really self-concious about the way he looks. I think they forget about that side of things and are just caught up in the superficial aspect.

From what I heard later, the actually staff have no real part in the photoshoots {at least at Anime north} and even if they did it wouldn't really matter as half the shoot was over when Bob came by.
by the time anyone had come with staff the photoshoot would have been over due to how far we were from the main doors.
On a side note, I realise it sound like i just have a grudge but I later found out she had told other people not to come as well. Not to mention the fact that at her shoot it turned out some of the cosplayers she claimed to have never even showed up.
