How do you feel about my design?

I was planning on giving her an updo with the purple highlight running up the middle and to the back. Her shirt is the same, but her cape is shorter and the part that goes up from her neck (what the hell is it called?) is also shorter and more rounded. She has a gold chain holding the cape together and her scarf looks like the one in pic related. She has the same rings, but some have big jewels on them. She has a big bangle on one wrist and another big bangle around her bicep on the other arm. She has a black and blue striped miniskirt and wears fishnets underneath it. I was planning on doing Eridan's normal shoes for her shoes, and was going to get smaller, more girly looking glasses.

It makes more sense drawn out, I can draw it to show you, but what do you think?

Here's something Ancestor related- Why do all of the Dolorosa cosplayers do one-piece skirts? From her depictions in comic, I see her skirt as more of a wrap or layered skirt, something with movement, especially since she has that veil and overskirt as well. If it has been done, can I /r/ some pictures? I plan on using this method with my version of her when I get to that point

No one ever seems to answer the gigapause question, so I think I'll go ahead and say that's it gives me a very bittersweet feeling. Like, I don't want it to end, but I still have high hopes for the ending and hope it's as good as it should be.

I feel along the same way though. I kind of hope the Gigapause lasts for a while so the end is drawn out for longer, but at the same time I just want to know what happens at the end. It was answered by a few people a few threads ago, but it is indeed bittersweet. I kind of hope that these sorts of threads will still be around and people will still cosplay Homestuck, but hopefully the kids and the stigma they've wrought (and now spread to more mainstream things like Dangan Ronpa and Attack on Titan) will be long gone.

I feel like there was an idea in the past month or two where people would create a compilation of helpful HS cosplay information: what kinds of body paint to use and the methods of application, alternatives for body paint (such as armsocks and tights), a few different horn tutorials, which of the official shirts can work for outfits and which should be avoided, fabric choices for GT outfits, and so on.

Aradia's horns never look the same in like, any, panel. Hussie just changed the shape to whatever looked best for the shot, so that doesn't really matter.

Eh, like I said. There are enough Homestuck cosplayers that they have to exist. Tons of photos get posted here, so if someone had a costume that was good enough to stick out in someone's mind, maybe they would look into their cosplay tag and go 'oh man I've seen these pictures too' or 'oh look, I didn't know they did this costume too' and voila, a name worth mentioning.

Considering how easily anons came up with names when there was discussions going on about Homestuck panels and dream casting going on around last Katsucon, I think it's possible. A little extra work, certainly, but we can't keep complaining that the list never gets updated without looking for people to add.

Maybe we start with the beta kids and move to the alphas before getting into the trolls and then ancestors? Ancestors and Beforus trolls, then? I think Mituna, Latula, and Porrim alone are about Ancestor-tier difficulty when it comes to construction. Rufioh and Horuss too, even if they're less common.

That starts us with a good pool of characters to consider, I think. Especially since we already know a lot of ancestor cosplayers. Mindfangs, Dolorosas, and a few others have definitely run dry by this point. We've seen nearly every decent ancestor group that's out there.

Unless anyone has something off the beaten track, in which case go for it.
