I like Dakota's shooped pics for what they are, and honestly, while she doesn't look like a literal kawaii goddess in real life, she's still fairly cute. Especially since it looks like she's lost a bit of weight since her outing on Japanese TV happened. If she didn't have such a horrible reputation I dare say she'd actually be considered pretty by a lot of people.

More than anything I find the drama surrounding her entertaining as shit. I really don't care what she's done or who she's setting an example for or what have you. I don't think IW does either. Whether they are aware of her internet reputation or not, it seems like it's pretty much nonexistent in Japan. Since Japan is IW's main market, there's not much reason for them to care either. I think Dakota is really stunning. I also think she is far prettier then most high fashion models that are popular in America. We tend to try and find "interesting" people which jarring cheekbones or unique looks that don't completely fit into traditional standards of beauty. Yea there is such a thing as an online portfolio. A lot of those seem to have differing amounts of photoshop, mostly from the retoucher/photographer used for the shoot but you don't know whether she asked for the files to have extra photoshopping for herself, or she asked for original files so she could edit them to her liking before giving them to her agency. She did used to have 'polaroid' style shots you see regularly on model portfolios which is supposed to be a 'real' photo of the models wearing no makeup and with natural hair, it's not on there anymore but you could tell that wasn't shot by the agency themselves as it was a profile and normal photo where she looked too posed and dressed up. As long as they don't do that weird eyemake thing and she isn't doing her own makeup she should look fairly alright. These two are not the same dress. Looking closely at the stock photo and her dress in comparison, you'll notice that the bib (?) is very close to her waist, where the original one is a tad higher. Also, her collar seems to be a lot longer than Baby's. There's an added green line on the sides and the ribbons are different.
