That is amazing, OP. What the hell is that made out of? I don't see any seams anywhere. Is it heavy?

EVA foam, and the seams are there, but nobody seems to notice other than me, I guess thats because I built it and know where they are and you can only really make them out if you are up close, I could probably have done a better job with filling them in and sanding but oh well, I love this thing to pieces despite its flaws.

Can I ask what did you use to seal the foam? I've used bondo and polyester but that's both expensive and time-consuming plus it makes the armor super heavy, works better with pepakura.

You can just use a few coats of PVA for a cheap method. But I used something called Plasti-Dip as I liked the finish and acts as a primer as well.

Nothing special really, I made platforms inside the boots out of insulation foam, then stuck some wood on top and drilled some slip-on shoes into it, so when I wear this thing I'm 12" taller than usual.

Its a little crude, but it works!

And its mostly cloth, but i have no idea how to approach the armored parts. Should i use a paperkura base, or just cut out pieces straight out of foam.

Also i looked up Plasti-Dip, and damn that thing looks amazing.

You could print out the pepakura templates and instead of assembling them in paper form, just cut it out onto the foam. Though looking at that there isn't much armour there, so you could probably cut it straight out of the foam without templates and then form it with a heat gun, shouldn't be too hard to do.

I was thinking about doing a bioshock cosplay,
still need to decide whether I do Big Daddy or Subject Delta.
SD is easier to make and more comfortable to walk around in, but people will know Big Daddy better.

But that's actually not important, I just wanna know how you should get started, what materials to use, which programs (pepakura,...), etc...?

Uh, I'm not sure, if you use Pepakura have a look for some templates out there for the armour bits and make them out of foam to keep the weight down I guess. Past that, I can't really help you because I cannot into sewing.

One of these days I'd like to make O'Shaserra. Unfortunately it'll have to be modified version (in between these two but without so much "HELLO I HAVE TITS") because 1. Her suit is too top heavy for those legs and 2. it requires a wider masculine frame and therefor wouldn't translate well into real life.
