I was the janitor of /cgl/ for some time and handpicked my replacement when you dumb whores got irritating as fuck, then there was one more janitor added from applications. It wasn't her.

There are a lot more photographers out there now however they are more selective than the older photographers. Back then we got semi blurry hall shots and were happy. Now photographers will only upload super good off site photoshoots of the best of the best cosplayers and don't even roam the hallway for photos

to clarify, asian eggplant is typically long and narrow, and it is what the artwork represents (not surprisingly).

Italian eggplant, which is larger and more bulbous, is the kind used in the photo.

Indian eggplant is much smaller than either, like a plum tomato.

Eh caramelldansen is when things started to get shitty IMO. The youngest of the Toonami generation were starting their teen years and famous cosplayers started to see cosplay as a way of income and attention instead of a hobby.

Caramelldansen came way later when the Toonami generation was already growing/grown up. The height of its popularity was around 2006-7 or so if I remember right, what I'd consider Toonami generation started at least as early as 2003. To me the 90's would be fansub generation, early-mid 2000's is Toonami, and after that is the current gen.

7178128 here, that's the time frame I was thinking of. It's when Shonen Jumptards and yaoi paddles became commonplace.

I think 2000 would be an accurate starting point for the Toonami generation. We could break the decade in half and call the other half the Jump generation, but they watched Toonami and Adult Swim as well. Maybe Adult Swim Gen because Toonami was dying at that point? I dunno.
