I do a lot of jojo posing in both cosplay and lolita but this is one of my favourites.

I like this pose a lot too, but it's challenging to get perfect because I get dropped after a few seconds.

This is so painfully true.

Curious on how you avoid it. It feels like even though my limbs and hips are in the right areas I look awkward when compared to another cosplayer doing the exact pose.

I feel when you're JoJo posing, you need to be more exaggerated. Like, in the photo, they all look off because it looks like the muscles aren't clenched to the point of pain. There aren't any "soft" lines in JoJo, and even the poses reflect that. You want to be as angular as possible.
IMO, if your pose feels like it's "just right," you probably need to go on to the point where it almost seems like you're over posed.

Don't forget the face. While you're body is strained you need to remember not to wear a similar expression. I learned that lesson the hard way when I first started doing this pose.

If you're not having leg/arm pain, you're not doing it right. You really have to pose so hard that you can't anymore, and then GO HARDER.

I was looking through my costume folder and I realized I haven't done any of the recognizable poses in any shoots for my jojo costumes.

This may need to be rectified at the next convention.

Whatever though, its a selfpost thread, its for fun.

I know that feel. The worst part is, most photos I wanted to take were indoors, but we ended shooting in a park. I still want to take some Shakedown Road pics, with all the gingko leaves and whatnot.

There was a signing with Hiroshi Matsuyama this past weekend at MCM so why not? I also met him the day after when I wore Josuke as well.

This was from my first time cosplaying from JoJo at Sakuracon! I just ran into some other JoJo's. They were really nice and invited me to take pics and go eat! I was feeling really awkward shy the whole time but it was nice ha ha xP

I'm the Joseph and still a beginner at the poses ha ha

I cosplayed Jolyne for a day at a con over the weekend. Usually used the obligatory JoJo poses but often used White Snake's discs to be more creative with posing easier during actual shoots..

I went to the Jojo's Posing Adventure at Youmacon this past weekend, it was amazing. Then I promptly put that knowledge to use in the masquerade.

It's in the legs really. The trick is to get a wide stance and then bend your knees while making your your back stays upright. Depending on your flexibility you can also bend your spine but I don't recommend beginners to go that extra step. If you do it right, you'll feel most of the tension in your calves and thighs. If you feel pain in your knees then stop

You need to use dem ab muscles, anon. Some people can make a 90 degree angle in the opposite way, you just need some strength.
