Very random as in using lolitas for /cgl/. Admit at least that no one likes their face messed around with. Usually ppl go crazy with fat chicks or selfposts, so I told her what was going on since I thought it strange. Sorry, not every lolita is corrupted by the interwebz just yet.

Oh, and even if it's all doll like watch out for obvious signs of editing. When you go crazy with the liquify tool you lose sharpness on the area. Keep it real, and stop airbrushing.

Well, lolita IS one of the initials of /cgl/. I meant it's not "SHOOP DIS UGLEH GURL I KNO LOLOLOLOL". There are some vendettas, but usually people go through the tumblr tag to find random pictures.
I mentionned in my post that it must not to be nice to be confronted to that kind of situation. Which I might say wouldn't have happen if you didn't intervene from what I understand.

I do know my flaws and that is exactly why I practice. Although, i'd sincerely rather have fun playing around with facial features with the liquify tool than "keeping it real". I understand that most people don't really like how I do it and that I have to improve. But, I still want to say that I don't really feel like doing realism (it's a bit boring), I kind of like the idea of a mix of unnatural and natural details. That is also the way I draw.

I think the problem is that the black used in the edit is a stark pure black when all the other blacks in the photo are more grey tones. It would've looked nicer if the color for the lashes was picked from somewhere around the blouse or the hat rather than just #000000.

How do you improve in photoshopping? I have an illness that results in thin blood so I'll have 'flushed' skin in some places, pale in others and very dark under eye bags. I don't really want to put up a picture of myself here, but I'm just wondering where I can learn to photoshop photos so I can make myself look a little bit more healthy and normal in my photos?

Use the brush tool (hardness 0%) but not in normal transparency like the rest of the airbrush fags. Pick the nicest part of your skin with the color picker and set it in 'color' to remove redness, and with 'lighten' to remove dark circles and shadows, start with around 10% opacity and always check back with the history and/or background layer (you never mess around in the background layer) to see if it's too much or it gets too unrealistic. You don't want people to notice.

Anon you're in luck because that shit is easy. The best way I know of to get rid of dark circles under your eyes is to use the clone stamp tool on lighten mode at around 40-50% opacity (even lower if need be) and sample from a brighter area on your face (I use the below the dark spots like on the cheeks).
As for the redness, there are a few things you can do, some of them include using selective color layer masks, the spot healing brush and clone stamp. I use a combination of all three.
First I take the spot healing brush and remove all very visible marks (acne, scars w/e), then if I ran into some problems with that, go back with the clone tool sampling close to the area you're fixing. Then I use a selective color mask and fuck with all the colors on there until I like what I see. In a real pinch I've also color sampled the redness in the cheeks, found a green that's the same value as that, and painted that on the cheeks in a new layer, then turned down the opacity on the layer to like... 2%-7%. It basically works like a green concealer at that point. then I merge the layer with the other and fuck with the selective color again.

Oh also, its kinda up to you whether you want to use a soft or hard brush. I've used both when needed. I prefer a hard brush most of the time with the clone stamp (unless I've got the opacity down), but for the green concealing I USUALLY use a soft brush. Also fuck with the color as needed. Always do what looks best even if its not directly following the directions.

There's a point where you know you're on the chubby/fat side and when enough is enough. Except in cases where you're on meds that make you gain weight to high heaven (like seroquel for example). Coming from someone that was obese (but not morbidly) I had to do something to change it, even just a little.

I see people all the time that are this big and bigger. I just wonder how they let themselves get to that point.
