"Metamorphose" is like the easiest one, though. Unless you're talking about the full name, "Metamorphose temps de fille". I've never understood why people seem to have such trouble with pronouncing Moitié or JetJ, though. Nah I'm really bad in general with pronunciation, partly because I've always have been and I'm forgetful. I was a lot worse as a child (had speech therapy) but there's still normal words that my boyfriend will glare at me hugely for when I say it wrong because I was never corrected when I was young so it's common habit (e.g I keep saying solidify as solid-fy not so-lid-ee-fy). Yea I was referring to the whole brand name of Meta. If you've seen 'Shit Lolitas Say' with that brolita guy when it's the bit about pronouncing names, I'm exactly like that. When I was 17 the way I tried saying Moi Dix Mois sounded like 'My dick's moist' which is quite hilarious.

How come there aren't anymore uh... "economical" gothic brands? It seems like gothic prices are generally way up there in terms of price in comparison to sweet and classic brands

Miho Matsuda can be found pretty cheap, and AatP is considered a gothic brand, and has normal prices. Plus, it's pretty easy to find items from other brands and make it work for gothic.

It might be me, but I feel like the gothic brands are generally of higher quality than sweet brands. Chantilly has some of the best construction and most beautiful screen-printing I have ever seen, and it's pretty hard to beat the lush fabrics of Atelier Pierrot. Moitie has the prettiest custom lace, imo, and while I don't know about other brands, I know for a fact that all of Moitie's dresses are still made in Japan, whereas I'm pretty sure AP & BTSSB outsource to China.

So that's my theory on why even simple Moitie dresses are more expensive than an OTT sweet dress from AP. Simpler prints + designs, but higher quality materials & better construction.

Can I ask a question regarding Moitie clothing? I have often heard mixed things about the sizing of MMM clothes, and on viewing photos they do not seem as small as the measurements state. So my question is Moitie as small as some people state it to be? What moitie options are there for girls with bigger busts e.g. 35-36" and slightly bigger waists 26"-28" ?. Thank you.

Moitie is a very loose fitting brand, if you buy items that are have shirring you can be a US large with fat girl tits and you'll be fine. though you may need to wear sports bra and you'll have boob loaf for sure.

but when it comes to the items with only a zipper? size 4 max.

there's Moitie that i didn't even fit in when i was 105lbs, and it would never fit me because i have a large rib cage.

I've heard some of their older stuff is very small, but newer is more forgiving. I have a 34" bust and a 24" waist and their JSKs that only have a zipper are quite snug in the bust area for me. However, a lot of their OPs now come in full shirring.

I really love their clothes though. In person at least there's no comparison when I look at my Moitie pieces next to some other brands in my closet. Much nicer quality.

MMM is such a perfect example that 100% polyester isn't the fucking devil. I love that.

So where can I go to figure out the max measurements for moitie's loose-fitting pieces? I often see plus size girls in them but I'd like to know specific measurements

once I bought this necklace I finally felt I was a "true" gothic lolita. It was years behind the trend and with the fan club gone now I wouldn't be able to get it but used. Does anyone else still wears this? I guess the trend is mostly dead now...

Unless her bust is huge, with her measurements she can easily fit size 2, I don't think you know what you're talking about. With a 35" bust and a 28/29" waist the Cathedral Print JSK and a strapless JSK (like the one you posted) fit me with room to spare.

It's OPs with long sleeves that are not highwaisted that she needs to watch out for. That and any dresses that are really form fitted.

Just use your common sense. Their high waisted, short sleeve OPs are your friend. Their OPs with shirring/elastic like this will be kind to you too. But you don't want to have the squeeze into them. Look at RedTonic for inspiration.

My bad, I always thought their shoes only came in S and M (lol) sizes. I knew they definitely didn't come in LL aside from the men's sizes.

How big is the L size, then? L size is typically 24.5 and M is typically 23.5.
