What I think is important when you do a Pokemon Gijinka is that you make an actual outfit that fits the Pokemon and keep it looking interesting. I would rather see Gijinkas where it's not super obvious that you are doing a gijinka, but the costume is still have a really interesting design and is well crafted, than seeing all the common Ears and Tails together with shirts and pants is the Pokemons color...

I think a lot of gijinka, though, you have to have context, if they're more unique. Like, to me, >>7123509 is obviously Darkrai, even without seeing the number, but if I saw it at a con, I probably wouldn't think so. It's trickier when you're doing completely humanised, without any of the Pokémon's non-human attributes.

it would look a lot better if they were more accurate and grey-blue... if you look at swanna, their legs are dark blue transitioning to grey. same with the crown

Swadloon, despite being like...the worst Pokemon ever...is my favorite.

my Boyfriend and I used to have to sleep on the.floor because we didn't have a bed. I was pregnant at the time and in a very grumpy mood. He was watching Pokemon and I.was curled up under a blanket with it up over my head. Suddenly he says "look its you!"
And sure.enough, swadloon was on the.screen. and I had to laugh.because of how accurate that statement was. It cheered me up. So now I like swadloon a lot.

It also reminds me of my son when he was an infant, all wrapped up abd grumpy.
