Bags like that are not "witchy" or any other romanticizing term you're looking to pin on them.
They look like something either hobos or teens on the fence of "hippy" and "mall goth" would carry. Most women in (I'm assuming) their late twenties start carrying more refined bags, and wearing good shoes. It's a basic rule of dressing well and appearing feminine.

I didn't want to say it, but the touches you add to your outfits are the make-or-break point between looking like a less than blessed lady, or not passing at all.

Anyway, if you're thinking of restyling a lace-front wig, most are center-split or swept back. It's really hard to change the direction of the grain. If you're thinking Hipster Ariel and muted colours, this Lockshop one is pretty nice:
