Then I carry a Frederick Pochette from Innocent World for my phone, headphones, tissues and bus ticket.

Bulky and valuable things go in the hard bag, because that fucker is IMPOSSIBLE for pickpockets to dip. You can't even slash the bottom.

The pochette acts like, well, pockets! Because most of my dresses are pocket-less. So I put the things I'll need to get at quickly and often in there, and keep it round the front of my skirt so I can see it.

If you ever go to DC, I really recommend it. The house is beautiful; only shame is that you can't take pictures inside so no photo shoots there. However, the gardens are gorgeous and you can photoshoot to your heart's content outside. There's a Japanese style garden too if you have some sort of cosplay as well.

Well from what I've read, the armour was well sealed and it's something she did that made it stain stuff. If the armour was unsealed, surely the costume would have arrived with gold stains, rather than her suddenly seeing them cause gold stains? This is how I made my armor, however, I would recommend using Rebound 25 as Silicone now, instead of Oomoo. It is not as cheap but it does not tear as easily.

A material that is easier and cheaper for most people to use is Worbla. Kamui made video tutorials on her technique to use it and it is basically a really nice material to use if sculpting with clay might not be your thing (I did sculptures back then and so I prefer working with a soft material).

And, since we already had the paint discussion, seal it with clear varnish and test whether it sticks to the material of your cosplay! Pleather is often made out of Polyurethane and in cheap pleather, the surface might not be fully cured and therefore react with your paint (I really tested whether the paint rubs off on any condition and found out that it stuck to that cheap shit pleather I had for my Viserys cosplay, then I looked up what pleather is made off and well, there goes the explaination).

Then you should be able to make a really nice Loki armor!
