I don't want it to seem like I'm dragging on and on about one guy, but what pisses me off the most about him is the fact that his cosplays make no sense at all, butchering character designs with unnecessary details and making up non-canon outfits for them.
ESPECIALLY when it involves his "combat gear."
He couldn't put together Kirito's Gun Gale Online cosplay for Sakura-Con so he came up with this shit and called it a cross-over cosplay between the arcs or some stupid shit.
As you can see, he's in the fucking middle of the photoshoot in his half-assed cosplay, meanwhile all the other edgy weeb cosplayers are forced to pose in the back.
There are more pictures from this photoshoot when this asshat poses in front of the creator of the series like he's some big fucking deal.
If anything, he's making the shoot worse as there were some decent Sword Art Online Kiritos, Kleins, Heatcliffs, and Kirito's bitches in the photo.

I have a compromised immune system. It's not completely non-functional, just doesn't work as well as it should. I don't visit many conventions (though not because of it.) but when I do, I have to spend a couple weeks before hand preparing and making sure I'm getting lot of vitamins and staying as healthy as possible. At the actual convention, I try to avoid very densely packed areas (though not always possible.), wash my hands regularly and generally take as many precautions as I can.

I always get sick after conventions in spite of all of this, and often get ill after even small lolita meets. I was laid out for a week after a recent conventions with a fever, aching bones and muscles, coughing and vomiting and headaches. I couldn't get out of bed. For me, it was worth all the crap afterward.

I mention all of this, though, because if I'm somebody who has only a partially functioning immune system but is otherwise healthy and I experience that much hassle after a con, I think that if she's going to conventions with no immune system/post-radiotherapy/chemo reduced immune system, then she's putting herself in danger and is at severe risk of winding up in hospital. A friend of mine with leukaemia died after developing a chest infection when she went ice-skating. If you don't have an immune system, a convention can kill you.
