They were all pretty good. The only one I questioned was the chick in the white dress. Did kinda get mad on the Sophie winning when her friend was a judge, but it was a good Sophie and I liked the props so I don't think it was even a friend vote win for once. Enjoyed Katie coming out to explain how the good skits actually got to win.

Also I think this guy should of got some sort of award- it fell earlier in the morning and a good chunk of it broke off and he still got it all fixed in time

These two were super cute. I had saw them earlier in the day and asked for a photo and she just completely ignored me but stopped for another person a few feet ahead.

All the cosplay gatherings are in the area are. We usually rent out a space near a park area, load up tables of food (usually provided by event organizers) and just hang out and take photos. Last allowed us to set up a DJ for music. It's a great place to meet up with cosplayers in the area especially since attendance is clocked in at about 300 confirmed

It's all about making the effort. If you're social, chances are you'll see people be social back. Talk with people who are cosplaying something you love so there's stuff to talk about and break the ice. Chat up an artist or two in the Ehibitor's hall. Hang out with people you've never met before by getting in a long-ass line and asking about what interest they have in what you're both waiting for.

I know it can be hard to take that first step, but these are the same people that have gone to SacAnime at the previous location. Don't let the fact that you're not squished against them keep you from making a connection. If you see me walking around in Winter, come chat me up and hang out with my group for a while. Cons are one of the best ways to meet new people. You're automatically assured that they share at least some interests with you, and cosplay gives you an easy way to break the ice. Plus, disengaging if you feel awkward or the person isn't someone you want to continue the conversation with is easy and they never take it personally.

I think a good plan for you would to go to some of the gathering. Meeting people who share interests is always a easier meeting than just a random stranger. Also lines somehow make people friendlier too. I'm very anti-social in real life and this last con I actually talked to people in line and the guy next to us at the masquerade for a good while and then sunday had some fun talking to fellow yu-gi-oh cosplayers for a good half hour.

Anyway I was just curious about your statement as it would be tricky to run the gathering if he's still doing it and seen as the leader. Ran both Fanime's afternoon and midnight gathering quiet effectively so I don't see a leadership change unless he steps to the side.
