What are some good ways to get pale skin?
I tan really easily and try my best to stay pale but want pretty ivory skin.
I just started wearing sunscreen every day but what else should I do?
Also do any of you know where I could get a cute UV resistant parasol or umbrella?
Thanks for any help!

Lots of exfoliating and sunscreen. Maybe take a milk bath with some lemon and stuff like that, just look it up. It's not too hard, I'm pretty pale now because of it. Theres also some filipino soaps that whiten your skin. Papaya soap, I believe?

This. I was at a point where I didn't leave my home much for 3 years and I ended up pale as fuck. Even now when I go out, I wear sunscreen, very light layers and have managed to keep the paleness.

>> No.7072483

Kojic acid soap worked well for me. Hydroquinon is better, but also has been linked to skin cancer, so I avoid it.

Kojic acid, sunscreen, and you can brighten your skin by rubbing a fresh lemon on you every day and letting it sit for a few minutes before you rinse. Be sure to exfoliate gently and regularly.

>> No.7072488

i went outside like 6 times this year
so yeah just stay indoors

>> No.7072509

Don't forget to re-apply your sunscreen every few hours.
I wouldn't suggest using lemon or anything abrasive on your skin, including those papaya soaps. It will do more harm than good.

>> No.7072520

Kojic acid and lemon juice are both acids and not good for your skin at all. If you use them be prepared to sacrifice the quality of your skin, especially if you live in a dry or cold climate. They may not cause skin cancer but they can seriously dry out your skin, create flakes, rough patches and make you age faster. Be careful with how much you exfoliate as well.

Stay indoors. Use sunBLOCK not sunscreen, one actually blocks the rays, the other absorbs it. Try to stay indoors, really. The natural way is the best way, the others may work faster but you will regret it in the long run. Papaya soaps are more gentle then the others and can help, so can moisturizing very frequently (several times a day) and using a gentle exfoliator made for everyday use.

>> No.7072533

Okay, this may sound a bit odd but when your skin is full of moisture, it becomes lighter.
I once read in a thread a couple of years ago that an anon who had to dramatically lighten his skin for a cosplay for the next day actually bought a lot of really cheap moisturizer, applied it generously on his skin and then put some more on a towel and left that towel on his skin overnight.
I have never tried this myself but apparently it's normal for your skin to lighten when moisturizer, which is also why our skin is lighter after a long bath.

Also working on that idea, drinking a lot of water will also mean your body has a lot of moisture on the inside, so definitely try drinking more of it.

No go outside and get skin cancer. Obviously there is a balance between everything.

The major deficiency you'll get has to do with vitamin D, something 40% of americans are lacking, even those who do go outside regularly. Just take a few vitamins every day/week and you'll be fine.

there are also things you can do to trick people's eyes into making you look paler. Having super dark hair helps (think Dita von Teese, she's a natural blonde, but dyes it black to look paler) and wearing makeup that is paler than your skin tone (try mixing in some white base). Only problem is blending well into your neck/edges of your face so people can't tell.

I'll wear a boat neck long sleeve cotton top if I'm out exercising , or gardening ect. If I'm just walking around town, it's sunscreen, sun hat, and a thin cotton cardigan to cover my arms.

The hats are super cute, and cover your face, shoulders and chest if your just walking a short distance.

Kojic acid is pretty effective. I recommend Kojie San. Their soap is really good. I just started on their lotions and creams, so I can't say what I feel about those yet. Also, lemon and sugar facial scrubs every other day. (Every day is too damaging.)

Avoid going out during peak hours of the day, when the sun is most damaging, and actually, avoid going out in daylight in general. However, stock up on vitamin D supplements. You'll be low on it, guaranteed.

A parasol and high spf sunblock are your weapons of choice. Seriously. Carry one everywhere and never leave the house without a good layer of sunblock and you'll be paler than your average basement-dwelling oldfag.

Yes wear sunscreen in the winter and cloudy days too!
It's like when people say "oh I'm underwater, I dont need sunscreen on the lower half of my body". Water acts as a magnifying glass and intensifys the amount of sunlight on you, so you end up being red on the bottom and light on top if you do that. With clouds, just the same! Honestly, there are very few people who have perfect ivory skin. You can definitely find out where your palest natural shade is by staying inside and covering up when you go outside. The least unhealthy way to achieve the skin tone you want is probably makeup. Like someone else said, darkish hair.

I'd be weary of skin whitening products or home remedies, even if they can make people's skin paler. Products that are highly acidic or basic can damage the lipid layer of your skin, causing dryness, premature aging, and photosensitivity. So, definitely no lemons. Also, sugar crystals have sharp edges that leave tiny lacerations in your skin. It's fine to use every once in a while, but its probably best you leave it out of your beauty regimen.

Any tips for getting rid of a tan faster?

I just want to even out my skin to my natural shade. I tan extremely easily, today I spent like 15 minutes outside and now I have the worst farmers tan (like 10 shades of difference, literally).

exfoliate and moisturize regularly, promote new skin growth to get rid of the tanned skin ~
my favorite exfoliate is exfolikate, but that's very expensive and more for the face... for the body you can literally just use a luffa with any body wash and that will exfoliate. using products with crystals or beads is not so good but for your like- body it's okay. it wont add any exfoliating a luffa wouldn't do on it's own though.

don't use skin lightening treatments are bad, avoid them. no lemon juice. nothing like that. you will just damage your skin more.

also i feel your pain. living in CA again i spent /way/ more time outside than i ever did before and i'm like. normal pale now. not really pale. but my torso and legs are still very pale. so i'm all uneven and uhg

acne, unfortunately, is not a one size fits all or even like- realistically can be given advice online. it's all trial and error until you find something that works for you. i'm trained in skin care and while i've finally figured out how to keep my skin from breaking out i can't find anything to reduce my natural redness or even my skin tone.

Those beads don't seem too big, so it should be okay as you don't apply too much pressure when washing yourself with them.
I'd recommend using your last two fingers from each hand(pinky and ring finger)as they have less strenght in them so it won't do as much damage.

I have skin that tans really easily as well as my dad is Mauritian. I love having pale skin too so I try and stay out of the sun as much as I possibly can or if I cant avoid it, I try not stay out too long. If I have too then I wear SPF 50 sunscreen and it works amazingly. That plus I cover up most areas with long clothing, if its not incredibly hot. I still find though that my skin while being quite pale for someone of my heritage, I still have a slight yellow pigmented undertone to my skin. So I'm not exactly as pale as I would like. So I wear NC 15 liquid and powder foundation by MAC its incredible! it gives me that white porcelain/pale look that I want and its great coverage and it stays on all day without needing to be touched up. NC 15 is the palest shade you can get from MAC so I highly recommenced it, if you're in a similar position as me! Its a little pricey (well here in Australia it is) but its worth it. good advice

Also it isnt just "being low on vit d!" thats the problem
Women have a high chance of getting osteoporsis not having enough calcium just alone (not everyone i can bet drinks 2+ glasses of milk a day let alone a cup of spinach or something) and since Vit D is related for better absorbtion of calcium into the bones you're gonna get yourself some pain in the long run... so watch yourselves.
(I'm also aiming for pale too)
