Everything I see bedrooms filled with cute stuff on here I can't help but think about what if would look like if it all caught fire.

Finally got this skirt! It's super see-through, though. What should I wear underneath? I tried wearing my victorian girl dress petticoat underneath, but it was way too much poof for the casual look I'm aiming for. Should I just go with a white slip? Bloomers? What do girls usually wear underneath?

Is is common in the US for things to catch on fire, houses and stuff? I have only once, ever, heard of a normal person's house catching fire, other than that only a few cases here and there of cinemas and other business, but it's still very rare... I had a room like that as a kid and fire hazard is a non-issue.

If you're in a dry area, brush fires happen more than they should, and sometimes it travels down to houses. I'm from SoCal & seeing fires on the news is normal in particularly dry seasons, IMO.

Areas full of toys and useless shit don't exactly mean fire hazard, contrary to the Sims world.

The more stuff you have cluttered in your house the more likely there will be a fire. Anything between sparks coming from outlets, a shitty extension cord, someone who lights candles/incense/smokes.
It's just risky is all, it doesn't necessarily mean a fire will happen. Especially if people organize their messes and have common sense.

An ex of mine was a pretty bad hoarder. Although it wasn't so much things as it was trash and dirty clothes. He had a pile of dirty clothes sitting on his floor that had been there for so long it was actually giving off its own heat like a decaying peat pile.

Where the fuck do you live? Atlantis? House fires are not a region-specific thing (except those resulting from bush fires).

They're usually caused by things like faulty electrical equipment, cooking and stupidity. All of which are prevalent basically everywhere in the world.

My house burned down, electrical issues. Afterwards I had a couple people (strangers) come and tell me stories of when their house burned down. One of them accidentally burned their house down as a child because their jacket touched a lit candle and they panicked and threw it in their closet and another woman had her house burned down by a serial arsonist while everyone was sleeping inside.

Starting a fire is one thing, completely burning your house (or a few rooms) down is quite a different one. As I said, I have never seen on news or heard from people I know about fires. Maybe I just never got the info, but as far as I can tell, it's really not common here.

Most of the fires I hear about are due to electrical things. People who live in older homes don't upgrade their electrical sometimes or the people you hire too mess it up.
Some contractors who build houses lately tend to do pretty shoddy work also.

I had a house fire a while back (electrical fire, like >>7060069), and since I had a house that was built in the 70's, I think, it just spread crazy fast.

Housefires don't show up in the media a lot, unless it was huge (like bush fires) and/or there were many fatalities.

I didn't hear about housefires at all before mine, but afterwards I was hearing everyone's story of pretty damn recent fires.

Oh true, that's a good point. I live in a pretty small country so I hear about them a lot because there's usually not a lot going on in the news.

It's an old Angelic Pretty necklace. The last I knew it sells from $70-$100 by itself...I've missed it a few times but damn if I wouldn't drop that much for that cheap plastic elephant.

I hate clutter, and useless things like toys/figurines.

Even though my wardrobe is elaborate and adorable, I keep the quantity of things to a minimum.

Clutter hurts my brain/wastes money/takes longer to clean.
