Okay, cifera is definitely a fantastic Pekoyama and probably one of the best ones out there so far, but that's still so stuoid and petty. I don't understand why some people throw up their hands and give up on cosplay just because they feel like someone else is 'better'. At the Saturday photoshoot I was sitting over on the left side near the corner, the photoshoot runner who was cosplaying Celes would sit down over there to move out of the way during shots, and the cosplayer you're talking about walked in on the right. I saw her pointing at the shoot runner a few times and whispering something to her friends, if this is true it was probably shit.

i cosplayed yamada (not in any of those shots sadly because i was late because of changing) but normally its like, for every 5 cosplays of the same character, it varies between 1-3 actually being a guy. i know there was one other yamada that is a guy and myself.

Please someone point me in the direction of a good drill tutorial. I really want to do Celes, but the wigs I'm seeing...nope. I remember a good Celes being at Katsucon but the shape of her drill weren't very accurate, they looked clean though.

Nope. Her character is an athletic swimmer. Not saying you need to have Mikasa abs or anything, but these huge beer bellies and fat legs aren't cutting it. If you're on the thin side, you can always stuff or add padding, she is very curvaceous.

Don't care what color your skin is/if you choose to darken it. Just don't cosplay a character who is known to be fit and in shape when you aren't anywhere close.

I don't really see 'really really red eyeshadow' in that pic but imho it works for white/silver/grey haired characters because it brings out the paleness of the whole anime albino look, especially combined with red eyes. If you're gonna pull the preference card, cosplay is a hobby full of personal preferences, even down to canon details. Makeup doesn't escape critique, so if you have shitty makeup, people are going to call you out on it. It's been done before and it'll continue to be done whether in this thread or others.
