I'm curious to see what your rooms look like. I've noticed some big differences in cosplayer's rooms and lolita's rooms. (i.e cosplayers have lots of mess and it looks like they're in the middle of moving all the time)

I pretty much only use my room for sleeping and getting dressed, so it still looks like it belongs to a 15 year old.

Well, lolitas don't always craft their own items. I'm sure a cosplayer who bought all their cosplays would have a similarly clean room!

I share in those feels. I live in a shoebox. So my cute little color-coordinated wardrobe is smooshed in with grey and brown t-shirts. Drawers that could be full of socks, cutsews, bloomers and pettis full of old electronics and I can't even use them for my regular clothes.

One day... when I get a house.

Living in the tiny apartment helps save on my portion of living expenses, so I can buy more. But we've been looking into houses that aren't too much more expensive than what we're paying and we can actually own it after awhile. Soon hopefully. I at least want a 2-bedroom house. Computers go in the living room, 2nd bedroom is mine for crafting, my collections and lolita. That is until I get pregnant if and when that happens.

Apologizing for the size in advance.

Lolita and cosplayer reporting. I wouldn't call my room a mess, it's just very cluttered because I don't have a lot of space. Another thing I'm really envious about is how other rooms have themes. Mine is just...a clusterfuck of different shit. Can't wait to get new furniture as well. My grandmother bought me my current set before she passed (almost a decade ago now) and the furniture is way too bulky and huge for this room. I stash a lot of my cosplay stuff behind the bookshelf.
>not pictured is my tv with my figma and vanity

>> No.7024473

I can't get any decent shots since all I have atm is my 3ds.

I'm constantly trying to figure out ways to organize our apartment. We moved from my parent's house, to a spacious one bedroom, to a small studio. On the plus side, I can store stuff outside since we're in a back house instead of an apartment. My parents just dropped off a dresser, shelving unit, and a decent sized rolling tool chest. So I'm trying to migrate stuff to those to get rid of the boxes outside.

7024512

I've got to say I fit that cosplayer stereotype. When I'm trying to finish a project I don't just destroy my room, I make a mess of the entire house. However, the place I still consider my "room" is the room at my parents' house I stay in over the summer and holidays (my dorm room is in no way my room), so my dad has some choice words to say about that. I've just recently finished cleaning it all completely up.
Just to the left out of frame is my closet and just to the right is the window (with curtains that match the bedspread). Behind me while I took the picture were my vanity, mannequin, and sewing table.
I've had the same bedspread since like kindergarten but the furniture is relatively new, my parents wanted to put something higher quality in there when I stopped living at home full time.

It's a little larger than a postage stamp, but I can do anything I want to do to it as long as it can be put back the way it was. (repaint, fill in hole from shelves etc.) the catch is, I can't get rid of the furniture, any of it. I can cover it up, but I can't take it out of the room. I also can't do shit all about those ugly ass curtains, except put more curtains over the top.

I'm not sure what to paint the room yet, but I am thinking about getting a canopy for my bed and making a matching tulle bedskirt to cover those ugly drawers. I have a large purple area rug as well to cover the ugly blue carpet. What else can I do to make it mine? Dorm anon here. I was more saying that it would be a little awkward if I'm inviting a man into my dorm for the first time and having them feel like it's a little girl's room. My current boyfriend doesn't like sleeping in my bed because he says it makes him feel like a pedo, but I think we're probably going to break up soon anyways so it doesn't matter.

This, except my partner and I are crammed in a room that was probably meant for one person in my parents' house. There's practically no floor space because we have two desks, a double bed and several bookshelves.

It kind of sucks but nevertheless I am very grateful to my parents because they are the European "we want to support you!" kind of parents and they charge us in housework instead of rent money.

At least for the summer while my partner's away I can let my sewing crap take over his desk.

Dat Gengar, i love it. My rooms are both very diffent. My room in my own place is very unorganized with the only thing matching is that most things are white or brown wood. But yeah that is what you get for buying cheap Ikea stuff and moving out old stuff. My room at my parents place however is much better. It has a blackxRed colorscheme with a nice two person bed and an asian theme with a huge lantern, parasol, lots of statues and dolls and little chinese vases. It bet that sounds super weeby, but it all started when i started collecting porcelain dolls and chinese statues of monks, quilen and dragons. So I kinda decided to build the rest of my room around it.

I currently have a huge fucking room, full of girly stuff. It's a bit of a mess, but I've always wanted to spend a while and make it a beautiful shabby chic haven.

However, no more studio = room is now full of wood and paint, and I'm starting to consider moving in with boyfriend. I'd save enough money to be able to have a studio again, but I'd be waving bye bye to the chance of a girly room.

I know two other cosplayers, and one of them (other male's) and mine are covered in plates of armor, weapons, isometric sketches (we're both CAD people) duct tape and who knows what else, where as the female of our trio's room is a minor disaster of cloth, needles and thread, Everywhere. Granted we are all musicians, so instruments (four clarinets, two alto saxes, one bass drum, and one cello between the three of us) frequently cover our rooms in addition to cosplay stuff. I wouldn't really care that much. In fact I'd think it's kind of cute, mostly because I'm attracted to girls who are very feminine.
Now, LIVING in that would be a different story. If we ever got married you'd have to tone it down a bit.

>>7033421

Nah that's not it. It's not that girls like girly stuff and boys like boyish stuff because they're told to and influenced, rather it's that type of stuff that appeals to us in the first place, with the market reflecting our interests. That's not to say we aren't influenced by it, but nature takes up a good portion of the explanation.

That red tartan dress on the right? Get a skirt hanger for it. The kind with clamps. If you leave it hanging by the straps for long, the elastic is going to give out. Same for any other elasticated strap dresses you may have.

I just received a dress that I knew had a damaged underskirt (stains galore), but it also came with busted shoulder elastic. It's really depressing when that happens.
