Hair thread?
I treat my hair very gentle but nothing helps against the broken ends, so it will probably be the lack of vítamins. I went to a drugstore and was fucking confused... which vitamines are the most important or healthy hair?

Speaking of that, wish I could get Himecut's hime.
I've had an asymmetrical bob and usually get a generic chin-length haircut with side bangs for the summer but I don't know if having the short length on both sides would look right.

>> No.6997481

It could be a dietary thing OP. How healthy do eat? If you aren't eating crap all the time you should have all the vitamins you need for healthy hair.

Biotin is what people usually take for hair and nail health but it takes a while to start working. There are generic brands that usually say something like Hair, Skin, Nails vitamin, but it'll all be the same shit.

Not a lot of people, to be honest. I think it really suits people who have a very feminine look and looks especially good on girls with high cheekbones and oval faces. I rocked a subtle one for a while, but it wasn't the traditional Hime cut. It was a sort of shoulder length thing with the bangs and short sides. It looked fucking amazing when I left it curly but it was a bitch to get just right when I styled it straight. I got lots of compliments from people that weren't my old hairdresser though. She hated it but she was real boring about hair cuts.

Protein is used in your body for nail and hair growth, if you also have nails that aren't in good condition it may be a lack of protein that's causing it. The two main things hair consists of is protein and keratin, keratin is obviously a big thing in haircare, you might want to try out products containing it.

wash hair. tie up hair into cocoon curls or rag curls. sleep on hair. undo in morning. use hair spray and finger-comb to desired snuh-ness. the problem is, will your hair hold a curl all day, or will you end up looking a sad, greasy mess that didn't wear a wig?
wigs are strongly recommended because they (shouldn't) don't get greasy, they can be tortured and propped up in ways that could damage your real hair, and complete the look of a costume.

>> No.6997771

From experience, I noticed a big change in the health of my hair after I ate more protein. (Mostly salmon, which has vitamin D, lots of protein and omega 3)
Not too sure about Biotin. Personally it didn't do much for me, but it is worth a shot.

i have one. there are days i love it and days i feel like clipping it all up. if you are interested in getting one, i would suggest starting off non-traditional so you can get the feel for it. instead of giant chunks just do thin section. that way you can get the feel/idea of what it's like.

i've noticed a lot more people sporting hime cuts than in the past.

seconding biotin for split ends. i also like ichikami's w hair treatment. doesn't really "fix" or stengthen split ends, but it smooths them out.

I have super thick, super curly hair that refuses to grow past my collarbone. Any cute ideas for styles? My hair is too short and thick to braid btw, so anything like that is flat out.

I am semi tempted to just shave my head and live in wigs because all the cute hairstyles I wanted to do require hair at least four or five inches longer than my hair will ever grow, But I lack creativity when it comes to my own hair.

I cut my bangs for the first time and did an awful job at it. I regret it terribly. I ended up cutting it too "full", so now when I try to side sweep it, it looks like a bunch of hair is layered on top of each other. Looks like shit.

What can I do while I let them grow out?

You could try point cutting them or slide cutting some of the top pieces to thin it out some and make it look less full if you aren't too nervous to try. You won't be taking any extra length off so you don't have to worry about them being too short.

I've got a really nice asymmetric bob with a bunch of layers on top that I'd like to make look kind of messy and "piecey". Problem is, my hair is naturally curly and anytime I try to use gel or mousse like my hairdresser keeps trying to sell me on, my hair either just curls back up or gets so damn hard there is NO movement in my hair at all. What the hell can I use to get that bed head look I want to without it curling on me or getting hard as a rock? I don't have a very big budget either, like maybe $10 for something.

It's possible that her hair is growing longer, but curls tighter, so it doesn't appear to grow.

>> No.7000469

>>7000299
Well first off, you chose a not so great hairstyle for a curly girl. Unless you plan on straightening it to hell and back it will keep on curling. Gels WILL make your hair curl nicely, too much gel will make it hard-- BUT usually you can just scrunch the hard out. Hard curls are not a good look. Anyway, all hair types have their limitations. Why not just accept your curl bob and not try to make it something that it's not? It's better to go with what you've got naturally then try to force it to do something different.

>> No.7000486

>>6997878
It should be noted that curly hair takes longer to "grow" in a sense. Understand that when you have straight hair the length just keeps pointing straight down. Waveys have a a bit of a kink in em' but generally they still go down. Curly hair has to sort of spiral down which makes it seem like it's not growing but it is! Also note that curly hair is the driest of hair types so it tends to break more often so it's important to not use any heat styling and make sure your hair is well conditioned.

>> No.7000504

>>7000469
My hair works with just about any kind of style, my kind of curls aren't very limiting. I don't have to straighten my hair "to hell and back" to keep it flat. I just blow dry it straight and it'll stay that way until the next time I wash it. And I never said I didn't accept my natural texture, I just don't like having the same fucking style every day. There's nothing wrong with that. I just want to try to find something that will give me a different look when I do have it straight.

And I hate using gel at all because it's drying on your hair and just looks terrible in general. I don't need enhanced shiny curls either, mine are fine on their own.

>> No.7000518

>>7000504
I think I need to clarify what I meant by the straightening. If you straighten your hair enough, it will damage it. Some people like it when it's like that because it's more easier manipulated for every day styling.

For someone with curly hair who hates gel you must be misusing it to have that opinion. So one can assume your curls have never hit their highest potential. It's unfortunate that you found the need to be rude when you're the one asking for the advice.

>> No.7000536

How damaging is the perm that straightens your hair permanently?

I'm going to college soon and I have unruly, extremely bushy hair. It's larger than my head and awful. When it's straight it looks lovely. I don't want to waste my time before class fixing my hair to look nice, I'd rather just wake up and slap on makeup.

Is there any way to prevent the damage, and what costs would I be looking at? For boob length hair.

Very. I had a friend who had it done and her hair was wrecked. She had quite dry hair naturally which didn't help.

If you do decide to have it done make sure that you take care of your hair. Be prepared to have it trimmed a lot after having it done as it can dry the hair out a lot.

Is there a hairstyle tutorial similar to this? I'd love to do my hair like this, but seeing how all I do is leave my hair straight every day: I don't know where to start. That looks like she braided her hair then coiled it around her head. What you could also do if you don't have enough hair for that is do a crown braid or lace braids, which is a variant of french braiding.

I think I might actually have TOO much hair. I'm definitely a braiding/hair styling newbie, so how does one actually coil a braid around their head? Just like the "Classic braid" in the link you provided ( thank you for that! )? I'm sorry if these are absolutely ridiculous questions.

Nah, it's fine, and I'm glad you like the link. What I do (and this is the way I used to put my hair under wigs) is braid it in to two side braids, and wrap them around my head, criss crossing them in the back and pinning everywhere.

From that angle, what it kinda looks like she did is braid a top section next to the part and gradually pull in the under layers. More pictures would be helpful.

How much hair do you have exactly?

My hair is right in between my breasts and waist. I'm guessing my floppy braiding ( when pulling my hair back ) was because I wasn't securing it properly. Thank you for the suggestions, I'm going to give yours a try too!

>>7005385
Practice. While I dont find it as nice, you can put it in a ponytail before braiding, as that brings all the hair together. I do that when I am being really lazy. If you get really cheap clear bands you can even do that to get the braid done then cut off the top band to get a look like you just did it. There are a lot of tuts on different braiding styles so just follow one that makes sense to you and practice a lot. I have trouble doing french braiding so when bored I try that out at home.
