Fun story.
Met him at a con in my weeb phase. He was being all creepy, touching my shoulders and back (I was 15), decided to indulge me in his religious beliefs. He mentions how he hates the amount of people that like yuri/yaoi, asks me about my love for god, I reply that I'm an athiest lesban, LITERALLY pushes me away and goes on about how I'm a sinner and that I'm going to hell.
Fun.

I didn't believe a lot of Vic stories until I actually encountered the guy. I thought the stories about his ego being ginormous were exaggerated but OH BOY, WAS I WRONG.

When I was at AX earlier this month, my friends and I were getting in an elevator packed with older people (like late 40s) since we needed to head to the grocery store for some food. As soon as we got in and the doors closed, this redheaded woman randomly breaks the very thick silence with, "So Honey, when's your panel going to be?" then out came this annoying nasally voice going on about his panel. My first thought was, 'My gods, that dude's voice is annoying.' Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that it was Vic the Dick himself and internally groaned. He just went on and on and on about what his panel was going to be about, what room it was going to be in, the time, and the date then concluded with this weird voice, "It's in the book."

As my friends and I got off the elevator, I just burst out laughing once we were out of earshot. I just couldn't believe that man's ego was so fucking big for him to assume that we were fans of his shitty work just because one of my friends was wearing a badge. Hell, we weren't even in the age group of his retarded fanbase as our ages ranged from 23 to 26. This also answered another question that I had for the longest time: what kind of woman would marry Vic? Turns out, one that helps feed into that blackhole that is Vic's narcissism.

Can I say how I love coming into Vic threads just to see the nicknames people give him. Always find of Vic Mcderpaderp.

There's a few cons that won't have him back as a guest because he's just that big of a pain in the ass to deal with. There's reasons why he'll be out if state while a major con is happening in his home state. I remember one year at AX. My husband was working at the funimation booth while I was working the Aksys booth. Vic ran a good hour late to his own autograph session.

He voiced a character from Clamp (Fay from Tsubasa Chronicles), a mangaka group who used to make yaoi doujinishi and who are very open minded when it comes to lgbt couples (they have one or more in nearly all their series for the past 20 years). The character Vic voiced was very effeminate, referred to him and another male character as 'mommy and daddy' (him being the mommy), and he and the other character showed all the signs of a clamp 'soulmate' couple, as they follow certain formula's. Vic could not handle the idea of voicing a gay character and thus started lying at panels that the character was into girls, one female character in particular. This character already had a 'soul mate', and also later turned out be a clone of his mom (awkward). He lied that he spoke to Clamp 'herself', despite none of them being able to speak English, not having any public contact info, having only been in the States since before he started voicing the character, and other reasons that this was impossible. When called out on this he just made excuses that it was another person that asked Clamp if the character was gay (which didn't make sense either). It's almost as if he thinks voicing a gay character would make him gay or something.

I brought a long my FMA boxset to get it signed, not because I liked him but because I thought I could sell it in the future, and I was pretty gobsmacked to see he was charging for signatures and autographs.

A few A-kons ago, I was standing in line to pick up pre-reg with friends. For those of you who have never been to A-kon, the lines wrapped around the whole bottom floor of the convention center like around artist's alley and sometimes through it. I was on press staff for a big con eight or nine years ago, when the Risembool Rangers craziness was in full swing. I was supervising a room full of press representatives waiting to interview Vic. He didn't turn up. The staff were radioing around the convention, trying to figure out where the hell he was. I spent about half an hour apologizing profusely to the press before someone finally collared him, and he waltzed in without giving any evident fucks about being so late to a scheduled event. I was gonna say Travis willingham but eh, idk maybe not AS big as those guys. Steve blum's got quite the following too but he's 53. I've met vic at a local con and really had no idea of his behavior. I walked into this with a clean slate. He did interrupt panels shouting that he was doing a signing soon (he named the time/room). He also proceeded to play the piano in the lobby if i remember correctly even though there was a sign on it saying it wasnt to be played. He did have those readings he did from the bible and i do recall him mentioning that it was "like Edward was reading the bible". Idk, i dont have any crazy stories since we had him as a guest at our first con but really, it was awkward.

actually vic said he has had congoers just show up at his house. He was telling us "horror" stories and he mentioned how this group of fans just showed up at his doorstep dressed as FMA characters. He let them in too for i think it was an hr or something. I might have this whole topic video taped somewhere too. There was also another story he mentioned where these two girls (i know they were related, not sure if they were twins or wtf) got their dad to drive by and take a picture of vic's house. their dad was doing some business in Texas or something and he drove by, snapped the pic on his phone, and then the girls showed it him. At a different con, he had a girl walk up to him and hand him an envelope. He just sat there and stared at it. The girl asked him to open it saying it was from her friend. She went to sit down and watched vic open said letter. Here it was a lock of her friend's hair. Call me a terrible person here but based on what i've experienced around him and other stories that have matched, i'd say he has this shit coming. He does nothing to stop this.

My friends and I worked staff at a con and had to put up with his shit all weekend.

Sometimes it's difficult because you never know how a person will react when you bring Vic up. We were at AX and hanging out with some people we kind of knew. Brought up Vic in passing and laughed, only to have one of the girls go apeshit because 'HE'S SO NICE, DON'T BE MEAN OMG'.

Late to the party but this is the main reason I hate this guy aside from the fact that he's a total homophobic perv.

I had an acquaintance, she was really my brother's friend and she came over sometimes, real sweet girl, not going to mention her name though it might be obvious. She has her own panels and piano concerts at our local con every year, this is how they both met. He watched her concert and came up to her after asking if she'd like to collaborate on a cd together. They worked out a deal and he promised to have her credited on the cd with all the work that she did, don't know if she was supposed to get profit or not, though. In the end, she had made all of these samples, written all of this music, wrote all of these lyrics, emailed it all to him and never heard anything back. Next thing we know, he's playing the music at his concert somewhere in England, might have been London Expo, and no where was it ever mentioned that she was involved, no where on the cd was she ever credited. He stole her work and not a single person has a fucking clue about it because she didn't want to get shredded apart and destroyed by the anime community. She knew she would get attacked and threatened by his army so she shut her mouth and said nothing.

I want to boycott having this guy attend our local con, she still performs there and she shouldn't have to put up with his shit every year.

Fun part is: I posted this story and why he shouldn't be allowed to the con this year on the facebook page of the con, next day it was deleted.
