I consider $53 for a shirt, $113 for a low quality ice cream shaver, $49 for a simple skirt, and $110 for a small plush toy pretty expensive.
It isn't even the fact that Taobao is "supposed to be cheap." I wouldn't buy those things straight out of the stores they came from for those prices.

I can buy clothes that cost normal amounts of money if I want. $50 is way too much for that shirt if I can get one the same quality for $12.
And AP isn't overpriced. I don't dress loli but I know that with brands like that you're paying for quality so that's why it costs as much as it does.
You can pay way too much for stuff like what was on the list of stuff I wrote, but I'd rather not. I like those clothes, but I have stuff just as good as them that I didn't pay $50+shipping for. No need to be so mad.
