Anons are always welcome! The SDCC gatherings are much less circlejerky than say ALA or AX. We all talk about what we've seen or done over the day or just shoot the breeze and nerd out or discuss cosplay or other cosplayers.

Last year we got so engrossed in eachother's company we moved the gathering into the lobby of a nearby hotel and chilled there until about 2am.

Are we meeting on Wednesday too?

Also I just realized that since I'm not in Hotel Circle this year I won't get stuck in the horrible, horrible Town and Country traffic. The road is not meant for all the vehicles that will be there. Do not go to the Town and Country on Wednesday if at all possible.

arghhh it is so close! i have all but given up on costumes. my wigs took a month to get in and now one is completely the wrong color and the other is kinda hard to style. bleh.

It being 5 days away hasn't sunk into my head yet

I have an extra Saturday and Sunday I need to figure out what to do with. It'd be a lot simpler if they let you pick them up on the same day instead of having to go twice and wait in line twice. Or even let you pick up the badge the day before.

I might have to just sacrifice the two and count that $70 as a loss.

Saturday line isn't really rough. It's wednesday and Thursday lines that are the worst. Wednesday has everyone who got a 4day, and everyone who's prereging their badge for thursday. Thursday has 4days who didn't make preview night, and normal Thursday crowd.

Most casual and friendly out of all the /cgl/ gatherings I've ever been to. Usually more anons than trips as well. We're not even all in cosplay most of the time. We also get an occasional visitor from /a/ or /co/.

just look for a random assortment of people and a guy who looks like Dr. Freeman.

the number one thing to brace yourself for is.... it'll be crowded. Panel lines will be long. Have fun with it. Also watch out for the Town and Country pickup traffic. it was HORRIBLE last year because it's a two lane road and there's going to be a million people wanting to pick up their badge. I assume it's that bad every year.

Just want to say that I hate you all for going without me.

you can get better seating thanks to the ADA. I heard a lot of stuff about how last year there were issues getting people into position who needed it so hopefully they don't fuck up this year. Insist as much as possible, ask for managers, etc. The grunts probably have no clue about what to do (again) but someone in there will.

We plan too, but I saw people last year with chairs trying to get through crowds and stuff... it is going to be hard. Not to mention I have no upper body strength. We went to the Zoo a while back, the next day my shoulders felt like they were ripped out. That was only for five hours one day, I don't even want to know how much SDCC is going to kill me.
