What are your most comfy lolita shoes?

I'm starting out as a Lolita and I'm looking for some cute black platform shoes. I can only wear flat/platforms and not heels. Help please!

>I can only wear flat/platforms and not heels.
That's a shame, heels can make your legs look amazing.

Have you tried rocking horse shoes (otherwise referred to as RHS)? Those are platform-y, though there are some lolitas who hate them with a passion.

Yes, it's pretty awful because I have bad feet and weak ankles. I like rhs but I also want some solid black shoes

not op but

I know you don't like heels op but have you heard of John Fluevog? They are really comfortable handmade shoes, they use high quality leather and wood. Their heels are super comfy too

>>6961582

Personally I think they're hideous. Just the design, the impracticality, how long and thin they look. I way prefer tea party shoes, mostly because of the squared toe and the straps, plus that they're lower to the ground. RHS just look clunky to me, but I wouldn't be sure why any other lolita hates them (I thought my opinion was the unpopular one).

I own Montreal rhs if you ever decide to go with rhs, they are comfy!

I think clockworkcouture has them for a decent price, but it's been a while since I've checked.

I'm in the loving RHS group. I have Montreal's as they were cheap and I wanted to see if they were walkable for me. My only complaint is the toe is too round for my liking; I much prefer a more almond shape.

As for the comfiest shoes I own for loli, every thing I've gotten from Naturalizer. They make great classic shapes and are designed for people with hard to fit feet. If you have store in your area, I highly recommend popping in.

Secret Shop TPs are some of the most comfortable. You're gonna have to order through clobbaonline or similar services, since it needs to be a group order.

Not op but I've ordered ss and had to sell them right away. It feel too hard in the toe box (for me at least)

If you're a fan of VW Melissa shoes, you should try to get your hands on a pair of the 3 straps. They have them in flats or heel version. They go for $150-200 at price but if you're lucky you can get them for $100 and under

Those heels are nicely padded but they're hard to find now. They are out of production, but you can try 2nd hand

I think they've become unpopular, since they do give off an old school vibe. They used to be THE lolita shoe, but it's definitely teaparties nowadays.

I have shoes with a low heel (like 2 cm) from Baby and Innocent World that are really good for all-day wear. I have some rocking horse shoes from Lolita Lola that are also great unless I have to walk over a bumpy surface. Bodyline shoes haven't been quite as comfortable, but I guess you get what you pay for.

>> No.6962910

Demonia and TUK have some cute platforms.

>> No.6962931

>>6962865
Yeah, this. I'm really in bad need of inserts for all the lolita shoes I wear really, the most comfortable pair I have is from Mudd or TUK or something like that and they're even only slightly better for the fact that they're real leather with only a 2" heel.

On that topic, I know the type of insert needed is a person to person thing, but does anyone have specific brand/line recommendations for cushioning inserts? Are the fancy gel ones worth the price for just normal feet? How long do they last?

>> No.6963052

>>6962931
I'm not sure about heels, but in my work boots, I bought some of those 30 dollar inserts that you step on the pad for. Not dr scholls, but some other brand, and I have NEVER had foot pain after they broke in. (about 4 days of wear) and I wear these boots over 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, whereas before my boots were uncomfortable after wearing them for three or four months.

Somebody is selling these etc ribbon shoes in gold (pic related, from lolibrary) in my size and everything. I have two problems:

1. Are they worth it? I have no problem spending for good quality shoes with real leather and stuff, but lolita shoes aren't really known for that. Should I get a replica of them instead? Are there any of them? I looked at Antaina but I couldn't find them (maybe I'm just blind).

2. I think they'd work nice with my style but I'm not sure how to coord gold shoes without wearing the same accessories to match every time. I'm not that good at accessorizing but how do I make it work with dresses that don't have gold in them? I think I could go for some gold headwear, some gold jewellery and maybe a gold accessory on a bag? I think I'll wear them with classic/sweet.

>> No.6963508

>>6963496
Gold jewellery would be fine. I'm not sure that ETC shoes are particularly good, and I think the replica might be secret shop or custom house for those ones...

Looked through Clobba and they had a pre-order for secret shop ones but that closed back in January.

>> No.6963588

hi OP
i have weak ankles (sprained both a couple of times) but i have wide feet, so my choices are more limited than yours. you could consider montreal anything (not just their RHS, their dr marten replicas and creepers are also mad comfy) she is ling_lam / little chilli lolita shop on ebay

i also buy from http://shop58746168.taobao.com/ - their boots are quite comfy, though their maryjanes have soles that are quite hard. overall, not as comfy as montreal though. the rest of my shoes are offbrand from local malls, whatever i may run into by luck!

the shoes i've bought from these 3 places are relatively cheap and very comfy. flats can look stumpy so if you can't walk in heels like me, consider platforms and wedges. these things will be your best friends. HOWEVER, bear in mind that lolita shoes are heavier than normal shoes. platform boots are the heaviest, followed by platform non-boots and then maryjanes/other chunky shoes. i don't wear TPS so i don't know if they are heavy. in particular, my tokyo bopper replicas are very heavy and are designed such that a bulk of the weight is supported by the straps on the ankle - probably because it's not such a good replica.

>>6961778
the original are tokyo bopper, but replicas are like all over taobao

Bump! Sage for non contribution

>> No.6963629

>>6963496
I've heard etc shoes are either perfect or extremely painful to wear (they are never true to size) What's your size?

>> No.6963635

>>6963627
Not that you actually saged, but do you even know how sage works? You can't both bump and sage.

To keep in line with the thread, it's annoying as fuck when someone says they can't wear heels and then people say x heel is comfortable. It's like you people don't know what can't means.

>> No.6963647

>>6963635

Actually, low heel is healthier for feet than completely flat shoe.
I certainly suffer more from ballet flats than shoes with 2-5cm heel.

With this said I recently bought a pair of Antaina heels and they're just awful to walk in. Love the look, but they offer no support and no padding. The foot just slides front so all the weight leans on balls and toes which is really really painful.

LenoreLolitaShoes on fb

Haven't bought from them personally, but from the look of them and from what I heard they use more comfortable soles than chinese lolita shops. Plus they do lots more customization.

Their shoes legit look like the comfiest Lolita shoes ever. I love that they put a non-skid rubber heel on tea parties, and that you can customize the shit out of them. Hopefully the shoes hold up well. They cost less than regular tea parties, about $45 shipped to the US, so I'll probably order a few pairs once I get paid for the set I'm selling.
