If you plan to make a lot of money off the island, try to get a map where Re-Tail is kind of close to the dock. I made sure my Re-Tail was pretty much halfway between the dock and Main St.
Make sure that you can access the beach on both sides of the river.
Don't worry too much about the bridge placement, you can add and demolish them through public works projects.

Uh, not all of them. Some are, other are worth as little as 1000 bells each.

Majority of the beetles are over 8k only two are about 1k, and one of them are 2k, another is 6k the rest are like 8k and up. Miyama stag is like 1k, Horned Dynastid are about 1.3k and the Saw stag is 2k

You can do the villager reset trip where you create a new character and find where they moved in. If you don't like it you turn off your game, if you do you place your house and save. You can delete it later or keep the character as a pattern mule.

Also I did it this morning and all it did was make the house disappear.

Coconuts and Bananas you find need to be planted on the beach, a fair distance away from the water, but not too close to the cliff
As for the other island fruit- if you're referring to the fruit you can find via playing the mini games then that fruit gets planted like any other fruit you find in the game.
