My package has been stuck over at lax custom for almost 4 days now. I didnt buy any replicas or branded stuff though. Just a ton of clothes and accesories for me and my mom, roughly $500 worth...weighs 9.5 kg.

Should I start panicking? My package has never been held this long (usually at the san fran customs, and leaves after a day or so)

Has anyone experienced this? Is the LaxCustoms that slow or are they that strict?

I'm sorta stuck on how to ship my order (13kg) because of breakable items. I did read through the FAQ, I'm just apprehensive.

I've only rotated between EMS and SAL depending on the SS. For most shipments the different in speed is negligible so if the SS discount on EMS doesn't make it cheaper I just go with SAL. I haven't tried FedEx because the only times I've heard of USA customs bills have been through Fedex and DHL seems too expensive in comparison.

The best thing I've done for breakable items is to ship them with a lot of clothes. I used TBR and they packed the tights/sweaters around the porcelain things automatically to stop them from breaking. Sorry, I can't be much help more than that! I don't trust the postal system to protect the items so I just organize orders so that fragile items always go in the same box as plush.

I do have a lot of clothing and even pillows for cushion. I do have maybe 3 sex toys, so they said I can't ship via fedex, because that was my original choice. They also said it would be hard to ship 'sensitive goods' via DHL. I'm sorta stuck inbetween taking a chance with DHL or ups. If not, I guess EMS. I don't mind paying a bit more to ensure their safety. I'm just not exactly sure which is safest. Has anything you've ever had arrived broken? Thanks for your help.

I actually don't have the tea party skirt yet, those items won't be shipping out until July, but I'll be sure to post here when I receive it!

The DC cutsew is to die for! I was a little bit worried that it wouldn't fit, but it fits like a dream. The fabric seems like it would be very prone to fading though, but that's my only complaint!

The pumpkin cat dress is great except for the fact that it doesn't fit in the bust area, but I bought it as ~thinspo to keep me motivated. The bows on the front are removable, as are the waist ties and the skirt is fully lined!
Some downsides are that the lace is just "okay", its a bit tough to button and unbutton the front, and the ribbon used for the bows/corset ties in the back are super shiny.

Lucaille wigs are great <3 I bought a few from them, they are thick and the fibers have good quality. They look the same than the pictures! I have 3 long wigs and each colors have a blend of different shades. I was a bit dissapointed with the short one though, it was a bit on the thin side, but all the other ones are perfect!

I've tried cut out for the dress and it didn't get me even close to what I wanted. And I have no idea what that type of necklace is called in english to be able to try that strategy. Plus, it doesn't take a tone of people to speak Chinese, pretty much just one because I've seen people come to these threads in need of translations even more odd than mine and getting what they needed. I got what I paid for but it's decent in the dark if you want pictures or anything.

For the see-through top you can also use the term "mesh". Even though it sounds like it would get you gross rave wear, as long as you narrow the search down it should get you what you want.

I've found that they are thin as well, but I do prefer brands like Fantasy Sheep. They are very soft and good quality. I found that the longer wigs (80cm) tangle easily, but that may be long wigs in general.

I tried to check the archives for this question, but they're refusing to load for some reason. Does anyone have a shop they'd recommend for longer petticoats? I have several longer skirted JSKs (two IW, one AatP, two Meta and one handmade) that I've been wearing with a modified Malco Modes petticoat, but it's just not doing it for me. The last few inches of the skirts always look a bit sad, because the petticoat is just a bit too short.

Hey all, anyone experienced with using SAL as a shipping option?
I placed a cosplay order with Taobaoring a month ago and need these items in 6 weeks.
One item still hasn't arrived at TBRs office yet so it wont be shipped out for another few days or maybe even a week.

How long does it usually take to receive anything with SAL? I live in Scandinavia, and almost every big package I order from Asia gets taken in by customs, so that's at least an extra 1 - 2 weeks of delivery there.
I had my paycheck cut permanently after placing my order so $50-60 for EMS is not really what I had in mind for this, but at the same time I am going to be really upset if none of these items arrive on time...

Hat arrived a little bent around the rim (but I knew a head of time as you can definitely see it in the picture) but ended up not even being a problem as I spritzed it with a bit of water and pressed it with a textbook overnight and it's good as new. It was bit darker, not as tall as the picture. This actually ended up working great for me but still: not exactly as pictured.

The gloves, as soon as I pulled them from the box I got incredibly nervous. I have rather long fingers and big hands and these gloves looked TINY! Much to my surprise, even though the fabric around the wrist doesn't give much because of the detailing there, the glove itself stretched to fit my hand perfectly without even really discoloring the glove or making the glove seemed stretched to capacity in the process. They are also super soft and the detailing is just excellently done, not a bow or stitch out of place. I would have paid twice as much as I did for them. My only complaint is that they don't match the skirt at all but that's hardly the fault of the gloves.

Excuse the quality, these were taken from my iPhone. The purse is true to color and came in perfect shape. The only thing I should warn you about is the chain holding the flowers can't be taken off. The flowers have safety pins so they can be brooches but the chain can't be detached. I guess you can break it if you don't want it but I don't mind. The water bottle is to show size. It's larger than I thought and it can fit quite a lot. I'm very happy with it.

The headdress and bracelet are very adorable. Since the price is so low it's a bit cheap quality. When I pulled the headdress out of it's bag one of the flowers fell off. But lucky for me it was on the back so it's not noticeable. I ended up using the flower as a temporary dust plug for my phone since the stem fit perfectly so win/win. The flower clips are very nice, though. They're very sturdy. I'm wearing them now and they haven't faltered or moved at all.

One thing I'm a bit upset with is that I asked Pruany to remove ALL tags and tickets from the clothing. I even sent them a picture of what tags to remove. When they arrived a few pieces had tags on them. I'm very lucky that customs didn't catch that but I'm still bit annoyed. I asked them twice and they replied "Okay" both times. This dress was the whole reason for my order. It has a silk-like lining which is lovely. The lace is really detailed and the ribbon is detachable. Definitely my favorite item out of everything I purchased. I'm not the smallest person. I'm about 5'5" with an 85cm bust, 72cm waist. and 90cm hips. But this dress is so flattering, really. Polka-dot skirt:
AMAZING! It was so gorgeous! It wasn't even all that wrinkled from the shipping over here and it looked so nice when all fluffed out. So worth the money. But speaking of how much it was: While beautiful, you get what you paid for a bit in the fabric. The fabric isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination but it's nothing to write home about. It's pretty average to be honest in that department. One actual problem I had with it is that it's a bit darker than pictured. Like the blue is almost black. The bow is also so cute though a bit heavy for the pin it's on. But I've never felt prettier than in this skirt. Love it so much.

The Yolanda dress was meh. It just fit weird. It wasn't nearly as fitted in the top as the picture made it appear. I tried to remedy this by tightening the strings in the back but that just made it crinkle in an odd way. I can't really articulate very well what's so odd about it but the way the skirt lies is also not quite right. Maybe it's just my body though or the petticoat I'm using. The green on the dress is a bit paler than anticipated but not by much so the difference could easily be chalked up to lighting or my own screen. The dress itself is also very well made and the fabric is quite soft and nice (especially given the price). Can be a bit see through if you're wearing like a darker petticoat or dark bra though so that's something to watch out for. Over all, I'm not thrilled with it but I'm willing to play with it a bit more and see if I can't make it work better for me so not bad.

The waistband is about 2" and the rest of the skirt is 11". I'm 5'2" and the skirt goes about mid-thigh for me.

The waistband is made out of this rough material that will itch after a while, but it really stretches. The rest of the skirt is fine, though. The inner skirt is pretty thick. Print itself is a little bit blurry up close, but I think it's fine.

I tried them on and re-measured the dresses. They don't even match the described size, they're super small in general. Inb4 Chinese, they are teeny-tiny.

You can't copyright clothes, you can only pattent them. Only the parts of the design that are decorative are patented too. Anything that's part of the structure i.e. the heart ring, is not parented. Unlike copyright you actually have to apply for patents too, I'm highly doubting she's actually done this.
