I got gifted some used long plaid skirts like this. I'm not in a position to throw them away, but I would love to make them a little more loli if possible. Does anyone know how to reconstruct a long skirt like this into lolita skirts? I've only found one tutorial online, and wasn't too fond of it. Any tips?

I don't know if you'll be able to make them loliable. A lot of skirts simply don't have the width/drape to take the petti that lolita requires.

However, if you are willing to get into it, they look pretty mori-able. Sorry I couldn't find a pic with a plaid skirt like yours, but maybe you could coord it like this? Might be doable and mori is pretty cheap friendly (you can find a lot of things from thrift shops and cheaper dept stores) if you want to get into it.

Anyways, just my two cents. Pics of skirts if you don't mind?

I second this. If you can shorten them a bit to they just cover your knees, you can make so pretty cute 1940s/tonned down aristo coords with it.

You need A hem of some sort, but I doubt it would require anything special. Check what kind of hem the skirt has and just try to replicate it

I would just cut it, fold up the edge and sew it so that you get a hem. Super easy.
