Since I haven't seen this thread anywhere on the catalog... Let's change it!

1) What's your make up and skin care routine?

2) Products you can't live without?

3) Products you might want to recommend?

4) And lastly, any inquiries? Things you would like to share?

Let's get this thread going, guys!

I can't decide whether to get the Naked 1 or Naked 2 palette. I prefer matte shades of Naked 2 but I find that Naked 2 doesn't have an even distribution of light, mid tone and dark colours.

I use a face wash by Etude House called Magic Bubble Peeling Foam. It makes my face really soft, supple, and clear. Pretty sweet shit.

Oh, and the other option is The Balm's Nude 'Tude palette. I quite like the warm shades in that.

1) What's your make up and skin care routine?
>I wash my face with Simple face wash, or Lush Herbalism (twice a week), then tone with tea tree water, moisturise, and do my makeup.
2) Products you can't live without?
>Revlon colourstay foundation - a drugstore foundation that actually has a pink-toned shade, when I tried it I was so overjoyed that I didn't have to look yellow anymore.
3) Products you might want to recommend?
>Benefit dandelion blush/highlight - my skin is really pale and this is one of the only powders I've found that makes me look very lightly flushed and glowing without looking like I'm wearing blusher.
4) And lastly, any inquiries? Things you would like to share?
>A friend is going to Korea in the summer and offered to pick me up some things but I know nothing about Korean makeup or skin products, any things that people particularly recommend?

1. Skin care routine:
Penelopi Masha Moon for cleansing
SK-II Facial Treatment Essence for toner
Spa Water Gel for moisturizer
Kumargic for eyes
Lululun for facial mask

2. I can't live without Masha. It's the best cleanser soap I have ever used. I have combination prone acne skin, and this helps to treat my old scars and new pimples. It also brightens up my complexion and not over drying. I use it every morning because it also brightens up your complexion. Been using it for half a year now.

3. I would recommend Penelopi Moon soaps. They also have Junoa for regular skin, and Talisa for aging.

4. Totally recommend checking out Cosme awards. I have never been let down by any award winning products.

1) What's your make up and skin care routine?
In the morning, rinse face with water, pat dry. Then apply:
- half a pump of Skin79 Snail Nutrition (or Hot Pink) BB Cream.
- KissMeHeroine's eyeliner and thickening/curling mascara.
- Urban Decay eye shadow primer, plus any cheapo eye shadow.
- A tiny dab of lipstick on each cheek, and massaged around as a cream blush. Use same lipstick on lips.

No. 7 hand cream with SPF on hands. (Trying to get better about caring for my neck and hands as well as my face.)

Evening: massage Pond's cold cream on face and neck, and wipe away the makeup with a warm wash cloth. I don't use toner every night, but when I do it's diluted apple cider vinegar (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). For acne, I put a drop of tea tree oil on a Q-tip, dilute it with water, and spot-treat problem areas.

2) Products you can't live without?

KissMeHeroine's thickening/curling mascara. My short Asian eyelashes can't hold a curl without this shit.

3) Products you might want to recommend?

Vitamin E oil. Removes eye makeup easily.

4) And lastly, any inquiries? Things you would like to share?

Are eye creams/lotions worth the extra buck, or a total scam?

>> No.6904140

>>6904110
I think if you have a need for eye products, then they are worth it. I have quite dry skin around the corners of my eyes, probably from applying/removing makeup daily for years, so I need to use eye cream.
But if you don't have any eye-related problems I wouldn't see why you'd need to use eye products.

>> No.6905774

1) What's your make up and skin care routine?
I change products based on my skin, in summer its more oily so I go for Clean n Clear to diminish breakouts, in winter and fall it feels real dry so I wash my face with cold cream/ponds and warm water. Now that I'm 25 though I've just sort of keep with it. I wash my face pretty much when it gets oily too and tend to not wear my makeup all day unless I have too. I go without make up as much as possible, at home, night, and certain days at school regardless of how it makes me look because I strive to just give my face a rest.

2) Products you can't live without?
I like Rimmel's bb cream, its light and does the job. I can't live without my sephora eyeliner though, shits expensive but its the only brush tip where I dont F up the job, one stroke and I'm done.

3) Products you might want to recommend?
ChaCha Tint or something along the lines of that, its a blush and from all the people I've seen use it online and in person it seems to look amazing, but the going price is 30$ and for blush, that's a lot.

4) And lastly, any inquiries? Things you would like to share?
I want to share the simple reminder that makeup has an expiration date, though we don't like to acknowledge that. After awhile its time to switch foundation colors too, don't be afraid to blend if necessary and experiment. Throw away brushes/pads/sponges if you can't keep them up to par and don't share sponges or anything that goes on your face. You never know how your face will react and since you can't hide it, might save yourself the embarrasment and bacteria by avoiding that, including sharing with family.

May I have some help?

So I'm trying to get into applying eyeshadow properly (I just wear eyeliner and mascara atm). I've bought a set of eye brushes, but I'm kinda confused as to how to use them, even though I've watched a million youtube videos on the topic. From what I understand, for a really basic look, you use a dense-ish, flat brush to apply a colour all over the lid, then take a darker colour on a fluffy blending brush and place it in the crease and outer v? And take the denser brush to apply a highlight to the browbone too, and a pencil brush to apply colour on your lower lashline. Correct?

Hi guys! I work at Skinfood, so if anyone has any Skinfood questions, ask away! Keep in mind though, the US only carries about half the lines so I may not know some of the products. I am also doing a Skinfood sample/full product giveaway on my facebook page if you want in on it. pic related, so far 27 individual products to use and I'll be adding more to it.

How prevalent are knockoffs of stuff like soap? Makeup I can see, but are there fakes of basic skincare products?

>>6903863
The MSRP for the Junia type is almost 4000 yen, and the others are even more expensive (the anti-aging one is like 7500).
The short answer is 'cause Japanese ladies will gladly pay ridonkulous prices for cosmetics. I literally don't have any Japanese friends who don't have at least one Dior, Chanel, Givenchy or YSL product in their makeup bags, and I live in a poorer, countryside area.

They also got me addicted to Dior Lip Maximizer. Fuck. It smells (and even tastes!) great and works incredibly well, but it's like $40 a tube for the love of God.

Colourwise, I'd say she looks like she might have been shopped lighter.

I'm relatively pale and a redhead, so you can imagine. I tend to find all foundations are way too dark for my weird blue grey skintone, and I have to mix foundation with white base. You could try that? It might make you look paler.

China doesn't have knock-offs of everything. I always buy Japanese cosmetics from taobao, because paying the SS fees is still cheaper than online asian cosmetic shops. I have never receive any knock offs. You just have to be careful.

You need to have at least semi-flawless skin. Your face (the base) is the most important factor for the ulzzang look. Don't cake on the foundation/BB cream. I always relax with a facial mask before applying make-up. It tightens my pores, hydrates, and gives a healthy glow.

For the dewy glow, you can pretty much use any Korean highlighters. Personally I use Etude House's Baby glow stick. Don't wipe it all over your face, a lot of people tend to do that. Do T zone, cupid's bow, cheekbones, mid section of eyelid, and chin.

As for the color, I think it's mostly lighting and probably minor shoop. I am Asian, and my skin can look that pale without shoop.

I like the Bar Shampoo "New". it smells really great and you only need a little bit to get a good lather. My only complaint is that you pretty much HAVE to buy a case for it, otherwise most of it gets stuck to the tub between showers and goes to waste.

My skin isn't sensitive or delicate (I'm combination to oily), but I haven't found it rough. The crystals aren't that big; there are some occasional big chunks in the solution but most of them are about the size of standard culinary-use sea salt. It's bracing enough to feel good, but as long as you don't sandpaper your face with it you'll be good. Just spread it on your face like a mask and massage in gentle circles, rinse, and feel limey and glowing.

Also looking closer, the crystals in that image are DEFINITELY a lot bigger than what you actually get. Here's a more accurate pic.

Often when you buy a new pot there'll be a layer of salt crystals sitting on the top, but just mix them in until you get this consistancy. It should be a nice foamy cream consistency with salt crystals evenly dispersed throughout.

1) What's your make up and skin care routine?

Morning version:
- depending on how my face looks oil-wise when I wake up, wash face with either Shu Uemura Fresh cleansing oil, Lush Angels on Bare Skin or a Clearasil foam (I prefer Neutrogena but that's hard to find here).
- toner either Lush Aroma Water (to refresh) or Sofina Beaute Very Moisturizing toner (to hydrate).
- Yves Saint Laurent Forever Youth Liberator beauty serum (only because I have a friend at YSL who sneaks me little sample bottles; this stuff is nice but not worth the money it costs. I mostly like it for its nice smell.)
- Sofina Beaute day moisturizer (SPF 30 beeyotch)
- Shu Uemura blush on cheeks and for contour. Majolica Majorca Jewelling Pencil eyeliner (don't recommend this; I'm just trying to use up the one I have). Eyeshadow is either from my Too Faced Dream Collection palette or this ancient Almay shadow trio for hazel eye definition that I've had for like ten years. Dior Addict Lip Maximizer on lips; sometimes I use that as a base for either Revlon Lip Butter (this stuff is really nice; very moisturizing) or the lip gloss in my Too Faced palette. When I'm dressing to impress I use Guerlain Meteorites pearls to highlight. To finish, Colorescience Sunforgettable Powder in All Clear. I also use Shu Uemura loose powder in their transparent shade for setting during the day.

>> No.6907258

2) Products you can't live without?

The Colorescience powder is really great; it's invisible, scentless, weightless, and is basically a sunscreen in powder form so it protects extremely well in the summer. Keeping myself to just one per category: Lash Knockout mascara for makeup (looks amazing forever but comes off instantly with warm water), Ocean Salt scrub for skin, Lush's R&B cream for hair, Bouncia body soap for shower and the Sephora's vanilla bubble bath for bath.

3) Products you might want to recommend?
Aside from the stuff I mentioned in #2. I love Lush's Big Blue bath bombs; they make the water look and smell like the Mediterranean. They even have little strands of seaweed in them to complete the experience, though if you don't like that you can put the bombs inside the toe of a stocking before you throw them in the water. I also highly highly recommend Shiseido's Ma Cherie shampoo and conditioner to people living in Asia or places where you can get that line; they work well, smell amazing and are affordable.

4) And lastly, any inquiries? Things you would like to share?

I got menthol shampoo used on me at the hair salon the other day and it was like a religious experience! That stuff is SO AMAZING and I want to buy a truckload to use this summer. What are some good brands? Preferably available in the U.S. but I'd love other recs. I'm also on the lookout for a good exfoliating product for feet specifically.

Buh. I'm getting dandruff and I have an oily scalp in between washes. I can't decide if I should buy Lush's Snake Oil, then have a regular shampoo and conditioner, or if I should just get shampoo/conditioner for dandruff (from where, I can't decide where to go - overpriced organic stuff or apple scented head and shoulders?). Honestly, I've found generic brand shampoo is best for your hair. Crazy but weird. Also don't wash it too often, 4 times a week max. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it works to reduce oiliness. If the oiliness and dandruff is a big problem, then maybe you should see a professional about it.

I should probably mention that Nioxin has several "levels" of shampoo, ranging from normal hair to colored and damaged. It's generally used for thinning hair though.

I have another question, this one regarding facial care: My face is a combination of oily and dry, and my acne is mild (at worst, a few white heads). I really liked sampling Burt's Bee's Radiance Facial cleanser, but it doesn't have salicylic acid. I can't decide if I should just get something for acne or have a separate treatment gel (I also don't like Clean and Clear's spot treatment, and Burt's Bee's version smells bad to me - suggestions?)

1) Face: Moisturizer, face primer, BB cream (currently using Skin Food Peach Sake)
concealer (mainly undereye), highlight, powder, bronzer, blush (peach, pink - whatever I feel like)
Eyes: primer, eyeshadow (usually two main colors, one light one dark and a highlight color), liquid eyeliner, mascara (two coats - one base and one waterproof coat), brows

Lips: usually just a nude lipstick or gloss, but I have lots of lipstick colors to choose from

Lately I am going for more of a natural look, so maybe only one peachy or pink eyeshadow for base, thin line for upper lash line, smudgy lower lash line, more mascara, and a nude or slightly more pigmented color for lips.

2) Products you can't live without?
the Balm's nude tude. >>6902475 anon should get it. Also BB cream.

3) Products you might want to recommend?
I quite like Skin Food's BB cream and of course Skin79's pink label. I also have all 6 of the Balm's Balm Girl lipsticks. The packaging is awesome, and although the lipsticks are a bit dry, the color is amazing. For liquid eyeliner, K-Palette and Dolly Wink are awesome for oily lids, like the ones I have.

I would like some recommendations for drugstore face primers and eye primers. I have only used Tony Moly's face primers so I don't know what other brands offer non-silicone primers. I am thinking about Milani's eye primer, but I can't find it in stock anywhere and would at least like to know that it's worth hunting down.

Ok. I usually wash every other day as I have very long hair. I might just get a bottle of head and shoulders. They've been coming out with some nice scents lately. Also try not to play with your hair too much. I keep mine pinned away from my face, otherwise I keep pushing it out of my face and I find it gets greasier much faster. I guess the movement just stimulates the glands to produce more oil or something.

cellphone ran out of battery the moment I sent my comment fuck this >.<

anyway was just saying as a make up artist I'm kinda surprised by most of the products listed, some are pretty good but I see most as bleh..
I'll not commenton the creams cos tbh I haven't found a perfect one yet, the one I use is decent but nothing I'd recommend in particular..
but my core products in my case are the new mineralise liquid fundation from MAC, love the finish it has.. with a bit of mineralise powder OR if you want something more mat go for loose powder from make up forever (MUFE), best mat there is, except for the MAC pro loose but hard to get for most people though they sell it online I've heard now, just no discount for pro of course)
of course for mineralize you need a dry to normal skin, up to maybe slight mixt, but avoid if you tend to shine during day, then you can go for either HD foundation from MUFE or studio fix fluid from MAC
for the blush I always adivce ot take it easy, males hate when it gets obvious believe me on that.. so you can go from none at all to little bronzing powder depending on your complexion, my all time fav though are mineralize blush Warm Soul and love joy also from mac
a good eye liner for instance always do the trick (blacktrack or Aquablack, both work great, blacktrack need to dry up maybe a bit longer not to leave any stains, but easier to apply since you can go over it longer before it sticks.. up to you)
oh I love the HD blushes from MUFE if you want something more natural btw, it's cream blush so very easy to blend and gets it very natural very easily.. no screw up with that
lipstick is really something personal but a good red is always viable especially with a nice eyeliner so MAC red or Russian Red for a nice mat color, I used to use the mouline rouge red lipstick from MUFE a lot too, and I always recommend a not so famous one Rebel, most dark skin use it but I found it gorgeous on fair skin, give it a look
ok post too long soz!

I LOVE lush soap, miranda is my personal fav (my gf too btw) but please stay away from their shampoo, seriously...

as a side note as MUA I use mostly the two brands I named before but I love checking NARS gloss, sometimes armani's foundations (as long as you have the right colors to fit) and some bobbi brown colors for eyeliners or eyeshadows..
but yeah without the pro discount we tends to pick only the best products from every brands
I loved the naked palette of course, got both for my GF, usually all their palette are good, I got the alice palette too back then, good stuff really
and most of my black clients uses Black up but since I'm not familiar with the products I'll let you try it :)
but as for revlon, gemey, bourgeois and stuff.. well if you find something good, good for you but try before buying if you don't want to fill up your shelves with useless things :)

just don't forget one very important things ladies: your eyebrows, do them well, don't fucking use tatoo except if you have a uber excellent tatooist, please think 10 times about it before doing it, I mean it, it's SUPER important, messed up brows will render any make up you do BLEH
the waterproof MUFE eyebrow corrector does wonder or you can just go ahead with an eyeshadow or pencil (not fan of pencil it's kinda obvious if not done properly)
and one last thing, if you're asian you'll probably 99% of chance need false lashes, short and/or falling lashes is just not good, and a nice pair of lashes even without much or make up at all makes you all pretty and sexy, I love the "7" from mac, very natural despite what you may think, MUFE does very artistic ones but more expensive and not much natural.. shu uemura are great but fuck those prices, but if you rich please be my guest :)
there am done, have fun ladies!

Try Head and Shoulders. It's classic but it works.

I've never had dandruff problems but I wash with it once or twice a month because it can help control really oily hair since it kills bacteria on the scalp that can overstimulate oil production.

They have a bunch of new types now, too. I use Ocean Lift after my dad randomly got it for me when I asked for H&S, and I was quite impressed by it. It does its job, but also added visible shine and smells really really good.

Eye cream is not necessary if you're under 30 and have no wrinkles. don't believe anyone that tells you otherwise.

The eye area is much thinner and drinks up any kind of cream you put on top much quicker than the rest of your face so be very careful. If you think your under eye highlighter/concealer isn't moisturizing enough go ahead and get a eye cream. Otherwise no cream can prevent crow's feet or wrinkles under the eye. Lip stuff is really good, I recommend their cat lip stain. I have it in orange and it's really nice!

For their skin care products, I recommend their Appletox honey cream and Floria peeling gel. The honey cream smells super nice and is not too oily while still being really moisturizing. The peeling gel literally just peels shitloads of dead skin off, and I don't need to use it very often because of how effective it is.
Their egg pore stuff looks cute, but yeah it's not that great. I bought the blackhead out oil while it was on sale and I don't see any difference when I use it. Maybe my blackheads get a little lighter, and your skin texture does feel nice after, but no real result in terms of removing blackheads.

Overall their makeup is pretty good and their skin products are OK. Like most Korean brands, some of their products are AWESOME, and some are total over-promoted shit.

If anyone has any more questions about Korean brands, I live in Korea and have tested and tried a shit ton of products so feel free to ask ~
I've mostly tested The Face Shop, The Saem, Tony Moly, Etude House, Nature Republic and Innisfree.

Well, coconut oil is a heavier oil with a higher fat content, after all, you can cook with it. I don't think it's considered a "facial" oil. Not all oils are the same.

A lot of people who use oil as a moisturizer usually find that it's better to use a blend of a couple different ones, tailored to their own needs. Of course, everyone's skin is different, so something that works for one person may not work for another. Keep in mind that if you wear contacts, make sure to be careful to not get any oil in your eye area, since it can be very damaging to contacts.

Whatever you use, I suggest mixing in a bit of tea tree oil; it's good for controlling excess oil production, and it's a natural antibacterial agent, especially great if you're prone to break outs. Just remember, if you're using an essential oil it HAS to be diluted quite a bit, since all essential oils run the risk of allergic reaction or sensitivity due to it's strength. Sweet almond oil is a good "base" oil for mixing.

and what? lavender is good for your skin...it's very effective in treating burns.
>Active ingredients of lavender oil include 40% linalyl acetate and 31.5% linalool, which have local analgesic and anesthetic effects. Although present in just a small amount, the 5.16% beta-caryophyllene adds to the anti-inflammatory effect of the oil. Terpinen-4-ol, which accounts for 4%, is an antibacterial agent like linalool. Seconding what this anon said >>6910480 and adding in a bit more information.

Sulfates strip basically everything from the hair. They're a harsh salt and are used to make the shampoo lather well and clean off oils and any built-up product. However, they often also pull off natural oils your hair needs to not be dry, and any tints or dyes from any hair dye. Despite what that other anon said, I personally find that using shampoos with sulfates make my hair dry and frizzy, and it actually gets oily faster. Which skin and hair does when you over strip it of it's natural oils, because your body then overcompensates for excessive lack of oil.

Adding on to the thing about lavender, the anti-inflammatory and calming effects are good if your skin is sensitive or prone to getting red blotches. And, supposedly, having lavender or peppermint oil on your scalp/hair helps you hair grow faster.

It might have been a shock to your skin, or you could've used products that aren't right for you skin type. Reading labels and avoiding irritating ingredients isn't rocked science. I wear several layers of makeup and my skin's the same as it was 4 years ago when I didn't wear any at all, ever.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a very natural face makeup. I don't care if it's a bb cream, foundation, tinted moisturizer or whatever. I just need it to be light looking, with light-medium coverage and decent staying power. Preferably drugstore. Any suggestions?

I tried pic related and it was good, more like a tinted moisturizer though. It just helps to even my skin tone, has a very light and natural coverage. A bit shiny, I think it would be nice for dry skin (mine is normal). The only issue is that the nearest shade to my skin is too light fml.

Some people have naturally more sensitive or acne-prone skin. Just because your skin is apparently impervious to makeup's side effects, doesn't mean everyone else's is. Also, I feel like people using overly tough cleansers and exfoliants is more responsible for pre-mature aging than makeup itself. Not all makeup on the market has skincare benefits, and some actually have pretty nasty ingredients.

That stuff has the worst ever-loving texture i've come across in a "base" product ever.

It would clump. CLUMP. Then form these disgusting sticky balls. Felt and looked like i was applying wet paper mache to my face. I primed, moisturized, re-moisturized to no avail. good formulation aside, that stuff is not for anything remotely resembling dry skin.

I would never swap my beautiful, silky foundations for a tinted moisturizer because i find tinted moisturizer to be counterintuitive since the sheer color does not even show up most of the time.

Some liquid foundations can be blended to sheer perfection or built up so your skin's imperfection are actually blurred not just glossed over.

I don't understand why a few of you are so adverse to anything that requires more than minimal blending. Do you just not have the patience for it?

I'm doing the no-shampoo thing. After the first wash I noticed a big, big improvement. My hair doesn't fall out in or after a shower, it's much thicker and fluffier, and it's really shiny. Sadly it doesn't help my frizz at all but my hair is a lot happier and healthier because of it.

For people having problems with it: it doesn't work with everyone sadly. However, some issues may be cause by either pre-mixing your BS/ACV in advance - some tutorials say you can do that but personally I found itto be much more effective mixing it when you need it, especially for the baking soda - or not having soft water. BSV is not nearly as effective if you wash with hard water (which is shit for your hair anyway).

You should save your hair out again, and cut straight bangs. I have a super square jaw and big cheekbones, a super long nose and straight eyebrows, and bangs really helped me look more feminine and they also hide ugly eyebrows. Also make sure your haircut allows for some hair to always be in front of your ears, so that it hides a masculine jaw.
For makeup, false lashes if your own aren't super long. They really make a big difference. Some color on your lips and a bit of eyeshadow is good too. Pinks and brown hues are romantic and sweet. Try to have a feminine style in clothes too. It's not hopeless, and you're probably thinking it's worse than it actually is. For any tinted base, BB cream or foundation, you're supposed to blend it into your skin until it's not visible as a separate layer of product. Putting a layer of transparent powder on top helps set it and make it look like part of your natural skin. I get them from my local health food/ organic shit/ hippie store. They're not always called 'face oils' but if they're 100% pure you should be good. I don't think anyone uses argan to cook with, anyway.

Currently I use macademia (nourishing, looks shiny) as a base at night and grapeseed (lighter, 'absorbs' quicker) during the day, both mixed with a bit of vitamin E. I also sometimes mix in tamanu or rosehip but those are pretty expensive so I use them in moderation. Tamanu is especially good for acneic skin (it actually dries my skin out a bit) but it's really green so I can't use it during the day. I'd use the rosehip more if it weren't in such a shitty bottle, but it's quite moisturizing and soothing on irritated skin.

I've never tried argan or jojoba or more popular ones like that because I'm somehow worried that they won't work for me. Not sure where that idea comes from, but eh.

My skin looks like shit, always. I dont even have pimples, it just inexplicably looks gross. 99% of products hive me rashes, even cetaphil, ceravee, or any sensitive skin product. I think im allergic to glycerin or something. Apricot kernal oil is the only thing my skin tolerates. I've just stopped using any products altogether and I still wake up to tiny bumps and blackheads popping up. I tried cutting fats and carbs but it just made me even more underweight

I'm VERY pale, NC15 is even a little bit too dark for me. I have normal skin with a little bit of dryness depending on the weather/my health. My hair is black and my eyes are hazel~

1) What's your make up and skin care routine?
>I use Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward facewash, their pore cleanser, and a cucumber moisturizer for skincare. My foundation routine is a random face primer, Maybelline BB cream, Elf Concealer under my eyes, Kat Von D foundation stippled on and Mac studio fix powder over everything. I use Benefit's Hoola Bronzer and a mac/benefit blush to finish the color on my face. My eyes are usually too faced naked shadows, nyx eyeliner, lorac mascara, my eyebrows are black eyeshadow and an angled brush.
2) Products you can't live without?
>Benefit's Hoola/Dandelion, Formula 10.0.6 Skincare products, seriously amazing. Very cheap and you can find them at Target/Ulta. They got rid of my acne ( i never had very much, just around the cheeks randomly ), and made my skin very even and gave me more confidence for when I'm not wearing makeup because of how nice my skin looks after using for a year. I have no idea where I'd be skinwise without them.
3) Products you might want to recommend?
>I LOVE the Kat Von D foundation especially for anyone struggling to find a FULL COVERAGE foundation that's pale enough for them. It's full coverage, feels like absolutely nothing, matte, and is actually my skin tone. I also recommend Smashbox's lipstick in Grenadine for a bluetoned red lipstick if you're very pale. It doesn't make you feel like a clown and I didn't think I could pull off red before I found it.

Not really make-up related, but has anyone ever had a mole removed? I got what I thought was impetigo from this gym along the side of my nose. Went to the doctor and was told it was ringworm, though it didn't have the usual shape. Got rid of it after a month of anti-fungal creams only to get it AGAIN on my shin soon after. Got rid of that and ended up with it on the inside of my forearm.

I just keep a tube of anti-fungal cream in the drawer now, because as soon as I see what looks like it might be the start of ring worm, I slather that shit on it.

Having skincare products stop working after a while is pretty common, since your skin gets used to them. I can't give much advice on cleansers, since I only started using one once my skin cleared up, but I can personally suggest some face masks that helped solve a lot of the problems you're describing. I've been using green clay masks for a while, and they seriously do wonders for my enlarged pores which, despite not having black- or whiteheads, will not completely go the hell away. As did pic related, but it's a bit harder on my skin and I can't use it as often. I also used egg white on my face during my puberty years, when my skin was much worse, and that helped astronomically with blackheads.

Also, LUSH's Teatree toner is really good for making sure nothing new pops up.

I currently use the Hard Candy Sheer Envy and I quite like it. I like it better than Smashbox, actually, because it feels a bit lighter and less oily/filmy. Smashbox feels really heavy and HC's feels more smooth and fresh, and I only needed a small amount to cover my whole face.

The big downside of Sheer Envy though is that it can be a little runny. I have to really shake up the bottle before squeezing it out and it can be a little challenging to apply because frankly, it's got the consistency of semen. That's just about my only complaint, though.

It’s supposed to contain light-reflecting ingredients that protect the skin, but it doesn’t (unless you consider the emollient shine from the finish protecting). The formula won't help skin in the least. Although Mercier was one of the first to popularize the concept of makeup primers, her original formula is far from the best.

>too many fragrant extracts and oils

you kind of have to be careful with fragrant oils as they can cause free radical damage under the skin's surface.

I currently use a primer that contains grapefruit peel oil but in a very low concentration so there's not a significant amount of toxicity to worry about.

I'd avoid anytihn containing any amount of lavander, pepermint oil and the like.

Why is Cetyl Alcohol the 3rd ingredient?? That alone should be raising a red flag.

Cetyl Alcohol is fine, nevermind.

It's an emulsifier.

I've got keratosis pilaris on my shoulders, butt, and thighs. It sucks. During the summer it isn't so bad because I tan and it's less noticable (it acts up in the cold) but I would love to be mostly rid of it.

Used Amlactin ultra, shit reeks and makes your skin really sensitive and susceptible to the sun. I live in CA and can't do that shit. Read somewhere that you're not supposed to exfoliate the bumps because that irritates them, and they're technically lacking moisture.
I think I've tried everything. I'm not self conscious of it anymore, but it's still lame.

Anyone have the same problem and/or advice?

I am so fucking confused with undertones, I keep receiving conflicting information. I've got yellow undertones, does this mean I'm warm or cool? Some people say yellow=cool and pink=warm, others say the opposite. Which is it?

In my experience, also having yellow undertones, warm toned makeups usually work best for me.

I have slightly tan skin because I'm irish mixed with Puerto Rican. I want to find a bb cream with the right color for me. I have w13 from Etude house, but i think i may have to go a color darker. Anyone else have this issue with Korean bb creams being too light?

You have to understand that not everyone has a Pro card for MAC or MUFE. For you prices are around the same as drug store prices and completely worth it but for the average consumer its a bit much.

Yellow is warm, blue is cool. Pink isn't really an undertone, pink skin can be cool or warm depending on the tone of the pink. I'm a cool pink.

Look at the veins on your wrist. If they are very blue/purple, you're cool toned. If they have a green tint, even a faint one, you are warm.
