I think it's cute on some short girls, especially in photos. However, IRL it can look really awkward because people already look down at you, and the long dress just makes you look stumpier.

I'm 5' 2" and some dresses are too long on me already. Feels pretty bad.

I'd say the shorter you are, the thinner you have to be to not look stumpy. I'm 1.6 with very narrow hips, and I tend to look fine with floor/tea lenght sjirts. my sister is shorter and quite a bit wider, and she just looks like a hobbit

How long is the long MC then? Because these are all Chinese (or other Asian) girls, so I'm assuming they're pretty short.

According to Krad's listing, the skirt length of the dress is 106-108cm (depending on size), but I don't own the dress so I can't confirm. Can anyone who owns it confirm if that's accurate?

This girl posted on the MC thread I got most of these pics from, and she said that she's 5'7", if that helps at all.

I agree, if you're short you have to make sure that you aren't large and don't have large legs at the point where the skirt ends. I have cyclist's calves, which makes tea-length items look awful on me. Pic obviously not me.

Thoughts on what kind of petticoat looks best for the really long dresses like Mozarabic Chant? It almost looks like some of the girls aren't wearing a petticoat at all.

MC seems to be worn with otome styles more than lolita, so I don't think most of these have petticoats.

I believe Surface Spell offers a longer petti though.

I have been wearing mine without so far, but I think one of the longer ones with less poof a la Innocent World would work well. I'm hoping to make something similar soon, probably out of organza.
