Next to no budget but my triple garage is decked out as an art/costume etc studio full of crap that comes in useful so I have the stuff for just about anything just randomly on hand.

Alphabatised... in sorted plastic storage bins... Im like the OCD craft horder from hell. heh.

The only thing putting me off is that im pretty pale and dont wanna resort to fake tan or cakes of makeup. Tinted moisturiser? IDK. Nutting out the details.

If you already have the material, then you won't even need money to buy said material.

you could just use those fancy tanning sunblocks. They'll bronze your skin when you apply it. It's much cheaper and less regretful compared to regular tanning since it'll just wash off. I don't really know where to get it, but I assume if you ask around walgreens or something, it'd be there.

So I'm going to NYCC all 3 days and only have one cosplay planned, I have all summer to make others, so suggestions are welcomed.

They're usually only meant for women, as it helps the us see if the cosplayer matches their cosplay character's body type. For example, someone slim with A cups probably will have a bad time cosplaying Ivy from Soul Caliber. That's why you give measurements so we don't suggest improbable cosplays.

Bad news, Yuna has three outfits. Two are pretty sexualized(her singer/battle uniform) and the other is a priestess outfit. All bare shoulder. You can go slightly non canon by using light armor shoulders(ex: lightning's shoulder plate from ff13)

My friends are interesting. They all have their nerdy sides, so we have that in common. But for them it's more of just something to do whereas for me I think it's my hobby. I just love games, art, music, etc. Whenever I've gone to a gaming event they always kinda thought it was weird and stupid, or they'd find an excuse to leave early. Bleh.

Yeah, it's good that I have some money! But that's because my birthday is so close to AnimeNext and I can just save all that money for the con.
That sucks about your friends, but at least they have a nerdy side and try to go with you! And how would a gaming event be stupid? You're going to a place to play with people who all like the same stuff as you so I think it's awesome!
Also about the friends, I've moved a lot in my life so I come across as kind of odd to some people or have few common interests with them. Plus they've known the people they're clique-ish with for 10+ years and I've only known them for 2. So I don't blame them! That's just how life is sometimes. Also, I've only been to 2 other cons with the other friend I mentioned and I cosplayed different things as her. We talked since I couldn't get an outfit for this year so I'm going to cosplay from the same thing as her this year. Her and another friend are going as Vocaloid and she had a cat Rin outfit from another year so I'm going to complete their set!
