My first ever cosplay had pre-tied bows on it. Someone ran up from behind me and untied one, then ran away. Couldn't re-tie it to match the other properly, so I said "fuck it" and ripped them both off.

Not exactly a horror story, but it's pretty rude to fuck with someone's cosplay like that.

He's my biological father, but we literally never spend time together because he doesn't have any form of custody over me. I've stayed over his house three times in my entire life.

He does know about my PTSD, but at that time, he didn't know my specific triggers because I was very newly diagnosed and was still figuring them out myself.

I didn't go home because the con was about two hours away from my home, so it would have been such a waste to leave right after that. Also, my PTSD is relatively severe. For a while, I was having panic attacks on a daily basis. Eventually I learned to recover from the panic and try to deal with it, because I would have had to drop out of school if I just went home every time I panicked.

To be honest it was only creepy because at that time we hadn't been speaking because she was so upset that I wouldn't date her and she had been tracking my messages. The con was states away from where she lived and she pretty much admitted she had gone specifically to find me and had just followed me around at a distance and watched me with my friends. If she had told me /before/ the convention that she was going or something, it wouldn't have been nearly as bad. I ended up freaking out and telling her off and we stopped speaking again until she contacted me on instant messenger nearly a year later to brag about finding a girlfriend in her anime club.

In the end I was lucky not to need stitches, she slashed the skin open almost to the tendon in two places and took off skin between because she was going too damn fast and i tried to get my ass away when she first hit me. Utterly ruined the sock and the tights underneath.

I will say that the dealer's room info desk and the medic staff were total fucking god-tier helpful. Six of the latter booked it through the Anatole to patch me up and chased off a meaty creeper who wanted a photo of the bleeding, angry!crying Fionna.

Having PTSD is not something one can control or help, and it arises from an experience a brain registers as intensely traumatic. Some people have sensitive skin. I have been showering daily, sometimes twice and rarely 3 times a day since I was in the 7th grade and no problems here. I think it's more common to have problems with hair, especially if you're a girl if you shower daily. I know people that wash their body daily and their hair every so often. I guess we're just lucky? Last year for Con, bf didn't get a badge so we didn't get to do anything fun so instead he hung out with "brofriend" while I do my own thing, and I get purposely excluded from them because Brofriend's gf is a total bitch and can't hang out with me because she thinks I would sleep with her bf (had at that point been in a 2 year committed relationship with my own bf, I was not tempted).

This year, I was hoping it would be different since brofriend broke up with his gf. I buy my bf a weekend badge and pay for the hotel room. But bf spends all weekend with his brofriend drinking & partying. I wouldn't mind it so much, we were both doing our own thing, but I go back to the room and no bf. I go to bed early (3:30am) because of photoshoot in the morning. Boyfriend comes into hotel room at 4 am drunk WITH Brofriend. I'm like, "hell nah! I want romantic timez, just us 2!"

No 3some was had that night (that's for another day), but I'm still upset I never got to spend more time with my bf. I'm never paying for his badge or hotel room again, I've learned my lesson
