Was that the iron man with the actual opening mask in your pic OP? It was pretty bad ass when I saw it.

Felt kind of bad. We shared a table with some random guy at the in-con food court thing. tried to make small talk but he ended up stalking us through out the entire con to the point where we had to lie about not having cell phone numbers and everything. Usually I can break out of awkward con goer tractor beams but the guy was actually nice and REALLY liked to talk about mega man. Wanted to let him down easy. Luckily I saw he found a couple other outcasts and they ran off together.
Also pissed at the lack of berserk, dark souls, and attack on titan items. Was really hoping to get all three copies of the Egg of the King Berserk OVA's.
P.S: alot of my armor got fucked in transportation and finalizing right before con. Also, people stepping on my greaves made it so I had to wear sneakers the last half of the con. Sorry for the eye sore.

I ate dinner in the food court saturday night next to them with the group I was with, they looked pretty good. I think they were offput by our conversations about Valvrave as TRAINWRECK OF THE DECADE and the ridiculousness of tumblr "social justice"

I've been trying to find some sort of repository of images from AB but I just aren't finding any. I went as HOUOUIN KYOUMA on Friday and Saturday, first con first cosplay, had my picture taken ~10 times this weekend, way more than I thought. Didn't take any pictures with the group I was in, none of them cosplayed even though most of them have been going for years, but oh well. I'm just trying to find something, ANYTHING that I'm in. I did usually have some Dr. Pepper on me, and a black messenger bag (that I took off for photos) if that helps.

So many qt's, I wanted to complain about the new Star Trek movie to them all.

Anyway, went by myself so I didn't have the best time, but I did get more than one round of applause while playing DBZ Kinect and met some cool people in line for the ORIGA concert to go nuts with. One of my friends from my home town was also a finalist in the art contest and had a booth in the AA so I caught up with him, which was nice. I'll probably go again next year but would strongly prefer not to go alone, and I might dust off my costume for Otakon this year since I felt invisible without a costume on.

So I finally joined the frilly side and picked up my first JSK at Anime Boston. Sweet Mildred had a booth in the artist alley and I just really liked this piece. Saw it on the hanger, she let me try it on, and I was sold. Now the fun part is starting to look for pieces to pull off a cord. Since this is a more toned down pink, I think the bags from bodyline might be to pink(which is to bad because they have a cute AinW bag that I was eyeing before I bought this.

It was fucking gorgeous in person. The photos don't do it justice since you can't see how it just sparkled with all the stones in the flower.

Throwing myself to the wolves but I did a test run on my Jupiter costume. I'm going to be fixing it up before the next con and adding stuff like the boob armor and some shapewear underneath. But it was a lot of fun wearing it and I did at least get a few photos thanks to my friend. On the plus side, after we hit the Origa concert, we ran into Nabeshin in the mall on the way to our hotel.

Also a fun fact, you know the chapel just outside of the convention center? My friend's uncle was the architect for it.

Yes there was. Enough that my friend even had somebody complaining to her about all the SM cosplay. Fun part is, I don't think the person realized she was cosplaying from Sailor Moon at the time(She was dressed as Mistress 9) Hell, I'll take all the SM cosplay over all the OFF and Homestuck cosplay. She actually runs the Moon Prism Poptarts and I Love the 90s: Shoujo Edition panels. I really wish I could have gone to her panels.

It was a pain in the ass for people with bags. Very long lines. Luckily I did not have a bag and got to walk right by them.

There was also a lesser known entrance from the second floor of the hotel into the artists alley room that had almost no one there so it was much faster to get in either way.

They had a skit which was supposed to be about "the darker side of war," where the three of them (representing Germany, Poland and Japan I think) stood silently on the stage gesticulating while their dialog was printed on the screen behind them, so basically like a silent movie. "I'm invading X, we're fighting Y, HIROSHIMA NAGASAKI was it worth it?"

Of course, the slides with their dialog printed on them moved way too fast for anyone to actually read. I have no connection to Hetalia and I was embarrassed by it.

I met that Asuka and Kaworu at the con. They were really nice, especially her who I got to talk to for a couple minutes.

I'm pretty sure Kaworu was crossplaying but I didn't talk to him/her more than briefly and I wanted to deflect all the Asuka wank that whoever posted the original image to this thread was clearly trying to start.

I guess it's small consolation but it's great to hear that she has a supportive mom. Also, she's in therapy (or was, this is all just stuff that was implied from reading her tumblr posts) and she seems to like her therapist a lot which makes her lucky... a lot of people with mental disorders, especially anorexia, completely resent therapy and/or end up with shitty therapists who are completely useless at helping them. I saw two Gendos, one with a Misato. I was hoping to make it three Gendos, but that wasn't happening this year. I saw a couple Asukas and Shinis and Reis. Even saw a 3.0 Shinji with a collar, but I was running out to meet friends. There was that group at the booth I forgot to go by before the alley closed, but I was busying helping an artist friend pack up.

I was very very tempted to cosplay as Nabashin. I didn't even realize he was there until I got there. I got a Lupin jacket in my closet. I figged I could have found a fro wig at Dorothy's Costume on Mass Ave. Though I remember a friend getting one of those for a friend's Yakitate cosplay and it took some finagling to look decent. Anyway, I was too tired to go through all that. I had actually slept in later than I wanted all three days anyway.
