Any good ice queen photos out there? I actually made ice queen last year and am really happy with how it turned out, but have had no time for a half-decent photoshoot. Fire doesn't really appear that sort of fluorescent orange, it appears more of a deep orange but bright. In any case, her hair just isn't colored bright orange, and I just prefer her wig done with the deeper orange like pictured.

I agree. The wig is beautifully styled -- I think what throws it off for me is that her face paint is dull and doesn't fit the right shade (like her armsocks do), so it conflicts with the wig. But I agree with that the dress looks messy. There aren't many all around great FPs though.

These armsocks aren't a good example, since they aren't done well, but some people prefer armsocks since paint can rub off. Not to mention it might be hard to get paint even over such a large area, it can be expensive, arm hair might make it difficult to apply, it can very easily rub off onto clothing, it *almost always* rubs off hands by the end of the day, and armsocks can be reused. I prefer armsocks myself, but they have to be tailored in certain areas to fit properly.

I suppose they look a little better when they're done right but still, why not just shave if you're hairy and if you have to buy paint for your face anyway theres no money loss. It won't rub off if it's sealed properly. It just seems like a waste of effort to try to get them to fit right when it'll still wrinkle every time you bend your arms and the seam almost always shows and looks tacky.

Even if you buy paint for your face, having to paint other body parts is still an extra expense no matter how you slice it, you're using more paint. Shaving arms isn't an awesome thing to do, esp if you have more than just a little hair. It grows in so awkwardly. I agree with you that the paint is easier to make look nice in terms of not bunching up, but I can totally understand people who do the arm socks.

I need some opinions. I am not goinf to selfpost my face, but I was wondering if I should cosplay Marceline or the jungle princess? A lot of people tell me I look a lot like Marceline randomly, and I really like her so I was planning on coaplaying her remember me outfit or her "ladadada" outfit with the floppy hat... But since she's so overdone, I was thinking of cosplaying my other favourite princess instead, the jungle princess. The only problem with that is that I am really self conscious and pathetic when it comes to showing off my body, and a couple people have told me they think I would be too thin for the JP. I am sort of conflicted? I'll be with a Fiona, by the way, if that means anything. Who do you guys think I should go for, and if Marceline, which outfit? (Sorry that I cant contribute, on my phone)

Not anon, but I feel similar. In a show like Adventure Time, where the characters have set body shapes(I'm not taking about the noodle style, they have body shapes; PB is curvy, Marcy is very very skinny and very very tall, FP is short and chubby, etc), it's best to stay within your body shape when cosplaying. It has enough characters with different body shapes that you should be able to cosplay SOMEONE. Even if you're muscular, you at least have Fionna.

I think they worked too hard on accuracy in shape(when in reality Marcy's hair flowers wherever the hell it wants, so shape doesn't matter too much), that it became this stiff lump. The top part of the wig especially looks too stuck in place, like it's smeared with gel or something. Marcy's hair is very flowing. It's a hard look to achieve, obviously, but the cosplayer went in the opposite direction with the wig than she should have.

My friend and I were going to cosplay Marceline and Flame Princess. She is skinny, plys guitar and it was a joke for a long time that she was a vampire because she hates opening her curtains. I am a fatty-chan so flame princess would be closer to my body shape and at the time she was my favorite princess yet in after seeing more episodes with her, she kind of feels meh to me now. So i was thinking of doing PB cosplay instead in this costume because i have thought of a cool way to do her wig, yet the worst part of my body is probably my knees so i am at a loss of what to do after reading all the posts about people cosplaying the characters out of thier body shape.
