And DR is definitely getting worse, is all I have to say about that. Since it's anime and has old fans from Hetalia/Homestuck/etc., I honestly think DR could be the next Naruto if it keeps going/growing like the way it is now. It probably still won't be as bad as Naruto, but, you know what I mean. It's a shame because Dang Rump seems like it'd be fun to watch/play/read and has cool character designs, but the fandom ruins it for me. It was the same deal with Homestuck for me, too. For all of the bitching and sobbing that goes on about how 'DR IS THE NEW CANCER', the actual facts don't line up with that very much. You barely see it at cons, cosplay for it hardly exists, there are very few tumblr communities dedicated to it, and its presence on the internet honestly isn't the all-consuming blob monster people are making it out to be.

The anime will come out, the fandom will swell for a little while, and then the anime will end and things will peter out to an average size. It will never reach the size of Homestuck or Hetalia. The accessibility of the story is just too limited for the average weeaboo.

I plan to make a tutorial soon! I used the wire and tape method and sandwhiched a ton of wire in between the tape because god the hair is really fucking long and heavy and using just one or two pieces of wire doesn't hold at all (i could have just used a really strong wire, but i worked with what i had). Glued all the hair down. Then after forming them into drill curls i glued the drills together on the back side/inside where you can't see. I tied fishing line in the curls to help hold them together. Basically like how this Celes >>6844891 did it except I glued them together. I think she has a tutorial on her tumblr on how she did hers also.

Hey guys, I'm this Kirigiri in question. Im not sure if its a good idea or not to defend my fabric choice but I probably should explain. I choose cloth over leather as a personal choice. I was under the impression it was a peacoat/blazer cross so I was originally looking at wool. I ended up with a slightly lighter suiting material and dear god am I glad I choose that. I was burning alive at ACen this past weekend and I can only imagine if I had used an even heavier material. I hope that helps! I don't think pleather/leather is wrong either. Its always up to personal interpretation and what you personally are comfortable wearing and working with.

Well for the makeup, I suggest bodypaint. Kryolan, Mehron, etc. Anything water-based will work, and I think all of them sell skin tones similar to Aoi's!

With simple outfits, you really need everything 100% perfect for them to look good. You have more leeway with more complex costumes, as more detail makes missing/bad details harder to notice.

Because Chihiro passes as a girl, so obviously that must mean he wants to be a girl. Even though his whole character development section was him wanting to get stronger and not hide behind his weakness (passing as a girl so he wouldn't get bullied). A lot of the reasons/excuses you see for why they make him trans is that trans people aren't represented enough in the media.

It's mostly because of the pictures. He was shown presenting as female during the 2 years they forgot, and was shown as being very close with his friends. If he was really close with them and not trans wouldn't the thought to get stronger have occured to him? Especially as it didn't take very long while being trapped in the school to? I think it's just assumed that there was a period of figuring himself out that he forgot about and in the end Chihiro turned out to have gender dysphoria and not simply being the cowardly thing like he thought. This also explains why Chihiro passes so well (besides I guess anime logic but I want to give the DR people more credit than that); because he was already transitioning.

I could just be really wrong here and projecting but the way the story was told, it kinda felt like it was intentionally meant to be a trans thing, or that the writer at least has a relative or knows someone who is trans.
