HSG, I wanted to ask you guys about meetups. What do you think of them? If you like them, what kinds do you think people would like to see more of other than the average ones (mall, park).

And what type of "strategy" works out best for photoshoots? Like the character calling/blood color/family name, or something else?

for the shoots at larger cons you have almost no choice but to go by blood color instead of individual characters, then beta kids, alpha kids... etc. you can do other groups like god tiers, tricksters or any other themes/trends about and then into pairings

T is hard to come by if you don't want to have cancer or liver damage by self medicating. If you want to do it via a doctor you have to go to a year's worth of therapy (minimum) and have regular blood tests. Considering the age of some of these cosplayers I doubt any of them have the means or access to the money for T, whether it be self medicating or not.

I definitely suggest people use baby powder instead of the powder sealant regardless. I used just the ben nye sealant and it worked fine but it still rubbed at place but when i used baby powder i could dump a shit ton on and not care and it stayed on BEAUTIFULLY. I had a white plush with me all day and not a single hint of grey makeup was on it by the end of the day. this is. Ideally it would take a year of therapy for T, but a HUGE amount of clinics will prescribe T to people to sign a waiver. They usually have you sit with a therapist for an hour or so, who will weed out peeps with obvious body dysmorphia and recommend different treatments, and then you sign your "I won't sue you" letter and you're good to go. This is how I got T, and even though afterwards I went through therapy it never came up once in my hormone treatment. My appointment was free and my prescription cost $50.

Yes it does. I'm not a trigger discipline nazi, but it looks goddamn stupid in photos unless they are actually posing while shooting. That's like saying it doesn't matter when a Tavros cosplayer is holding their lance from the tip instead of the handle, a Strider holding their sword with two fingers, or a John holding the hammer of Zillyhoo upside down, etc. etc. Holding your prop right is all part of posing and cosplay. It's not hard to take your finger off of the trigger for a photo, so yes, it does matter. Don't get me wrong, those smug faggots commenting "hurrdurr trigger discipline!!11" every time some 14 year old gets posted is annoying, but I wouldn't go as far as saying holding a gun prop properly isn't necessary for cosplay photoshoots.

I would also try to make the spikes have some natural movement and not make them look over styled or stuck out too much. I'm looking for a shirt that's just the right shade of blue as a base to start with my God Tier John cosplay, and then I will get the symbol printed on, since the official What Pumpkin shirt is inaccurate.

Problem is, every shirt I've found is either a shade lighter or darker than what I'm looking for.

Question is... as long as the corresponding shades match, so the symbol being the lightest shade, then the shirt being the second lightest, pants being the third, would that be okay?

I have noticed a few GT Johns that have their pants a darker shade of blue than canonically coloured. Does that get a pass?

I think it's fine as long as it looks good and looks canon. It doesn't have to be *exactly* the right color, as long as all of your clothing items match the order of John's in the lightest to darkest category. Just try to make it look right.

A question for troll cosplays... Armsocks or paint?

I guess the idea is that if you go with armsocks you need to make sure whatever paint you use for your face matches the colour of the armsocks, whereas if you paint you'll have the same paint for both the arms and the face (unless you're Gamzee or Kurloz), but as long as it looks alright, either one is fine?

If your character wears short sleeves, armsocks are the better choice. otherwise, if your character has long sleeves you can get away with paint, in my experience. just make sure your colors match if you do go the armsock route.

There are idiots who will deface another persons cosplay even if they act like a saint. It's happened at conventions where I live, usually by people in Hetalia cosplay. I'm not sure but a tip I can give, as someone who has longs wigs: in a spray bottle, put some water and some deep conditioner. If you think your wig feels tangled or is getting ratty, spray some of that in to the wig and gently brush with a wide tooth brush and it helps keep your wig sleek and smooth. It helps control the fly away frizzies from frequently touched areas, too.
