Well, aside from the cape and green hair, I don't really see anything wrong with a coord like that. A white ruffly dress with high collar and ruffly sleeves, cute necklace, red heart shaped bag, and matching red tea party shoes or boots

I'd leave the garters and replace the gloves with some nicer lace ones, but the foundation is there.

Given that the distance from her waist to her legs is twice as long as the top of her head to her waist; the dress might not be that short one someone with normal legs.

And there's some sort of pink petticoat under her skirt, plus as shown in >>6782852 the skirt clearly puffs out despite the purse resting on it.

I'm not saying it's perfectly lolita and doesn't break any rules, but it's pretty damn good.

1 - they don't have any rules
2 - it's a cartoon, they can put anything they want
3 - if an actual "lolita" dress would be shown it probably wouldn't appeal to the audience, ever seen a weeb's interpretation of a lolita dress?
4 - probably because whoever thought of the dress doesn't actually know a lot about lolita, plus the anime definition of a lolita dress is ruffles .. everywhere and gaudy/clashing colours (outside gothic).
Come to think of it, anime outfits not labelled as lolita look much better than those lace monsters.

Stop trying to justify that it's lolita when it's not. The dress does not have the silhouette. That's not a petticoat underneath and you can tell the dress is too short and doesn't have enough material to be bell-shaped or a-line.
If it was an actual garment irl the proportions would be show how wrong the shape is, as well as how ugly it would actually be.

Most lolitas in anime are cute... but then a couple of episodes in there's the "big reveal" and they end up being a dude.

Well, I guess my last argument for Nah would be shots of her in-game, since the concepts are a bit different.

Personally, when she popped up and I saw her character portrait and the way she looked pre-transformation in battle sequences, my first thought was lolita with a cape.

Miwako's sister was supposed to be a Lolita designer and featured in Zipper iirc so she gave Miwako all her designs to wear

Hamaji from Hakkenden Tohou Hakken Ibun wears legit Lolita (different coords and everything) in the manga, and the few outfits in the anime are pretty close, too.

More Hamaji. Questionable color scheme, but the design is right. It looked better in the manga when it was grayscale, haha.

I'm not sure, sorry - I'd check, but mine is at home and I'm at uni. The coolest thing about it is that it's on a semi-transparent material, so you can align it over the skeletons.
