I generally tone down my loli when he is with me in public but will wear it fancier when he is t present or I have a meet.
He also takes special care to tell me I look good when I do get all dolled up -even though he isn't personally into it- because he knows it is important to me.
Not all guys have to *like* the style if they are with a loli. They just have to accept that it is a part of the girl they love.
I don't *like my boy's sports addiction but I accept it as a thing he finds important and largely accept or ignore it.

I wouldn't worry about your wardrobe size. If it makes you feel any better, it's been about 6 years since I bought my first lolita piece, and I currently have 2 jsks and 3 skirts, mostly AP. The numbers fluctuate a little depending on when I buy/sell stuff but I just don't feel it's necessary to have a massive expensive wardrobe to be a lolita. I work full time and I share a car with my husband, I live in a tiny shoebox apartment that doesn't cost a lot (though it's thankfully in a pretty nice neighborhood, I've lived in some bad cheap apartments in my life). I pretty much just pay my college loan and my share of the bills each month. So I have a lot of extra money that I really should be saving. Though most of my stuff is around the 200-250 range and I try to do payment plans when I can. The exception is DDC which is my only direct from brand purchase aside from accessories or socks. Trying to slow down though so that we can move into a house and I might actually have a closet or at least a nice space to myself to display my things nicely.

Disastrous?
Sometimes.
If I have an art class to get to or if I'm ducking into school to hand something in after an all-nighter I'm normally dressed rather poorly in a plain shirt, jeans and a wrinkled over shirt.

The rest of the time it's cute dresses with stockings or outfits with a mori-ish vibe.

For wall stuff there isn't a huge amount you can do that doesn't involve drilling. It really is just about making use of what surfaces you do have.

I personally use suction cup caddies on my mirrors and have sticky hooks on the side of my bookshelf so I don't have to drill into my walls.

I also suggest that you really make use of your floor space. Stacked boxes are always cute and they dont even have to match if you don't want them to.
You can buy ones of various sizes in sets from office places and discount stores or you can search markets or opshops for old suitcases and the like.

I have a few old suitcases in my room that I use for storage (not lolita though) and I stack them up about 3 high with other, little boxes on top and ornaments on top of that.
It sounds cluttered which I won't deny but it does make use of what space I have.

Oh yeah, that looks like a neat idea. Luckily I have enough closet space to hang everything. I just need some awesome way to organize accessories and maybe even wigs without me having wig heads...

Also, since my dad just got a raise and he is awesome and letting his 19 year old daughter stay with him for $300 rent, he has offered to buy me a bedroom set. I don't know a good way to go around looking for "super kawaii awesome lolita" bedroom set. In other words, where would be a good place to start a thread about interior design?

I have no clue where to start looking for a bedroom set other than the normal places (instore + catalogues) and interior design threads happen here every so often but they tend to get deleted.

Anyways, onto some wardrobe organisational stuff for accessories!

I know, it's not the biggest closet, but I only have like 5 dresses and 3 skirts, and about 5 cutsews/blouses (Yay for just starting.) so we'll see how that evolves.

Boo for deleted threads.

Yay for organization, I was thinking about maybe picking up a jewelry armoire, they are small enough to stick anywhere it seems and keep things semi organized. Small enough to stick in a closet under dresses or something, or a small one to stick on a dresser of (gasp!) normal clothes. We'll see when I get that bedroom set though.

Also bless your heart for these dumps.

If you just put a board over your wall, then yes, the thing will fall easily, but if yu build a solid base, with corner reimforcment, that can fix the problem. A good thing to do is to put a piece of furniture on the base.
(no lolita, but I used that method : I placed a shelf on the board and used it as a wall-buildt shelf substitute for a turntable. The base was weighted by a subwoofer. That was pretty steady, but of course, the whole method won't worke if there are some heavy things hanging.)
