I made one, not based off that pattern, so I can't really speak for the pattern, I just sort of drafted my own.

I used fleece for the fabric, all the shapes are really super basic, so its not that hard to come up with. The details like the face and stomach are just hand stitched on. I made sure to do that before I sewed it all together. You're going to want to learn an invisible/lader stitch for that kind of stuff. But otherwise its pretty easy if you have some experiance sewing in general!

hi! i'll (probably) be cosplaying sonia at connecticon, and i was wondering about her wig. Hmm I can see where you're getting the wave idea from the pieces of hair on her shoulders. I think your best bet would to get a straight wig and then add a slight wave at the parts on your shoulder and at the bottom (if you want). I personally don't see it as a curly wig, but that's just my opinion!

i'm starting a nanami too and i'm running into similar problems with the color scheme--i (and most others, it seems) had a mental image of her as having purple hair and eyes but when i look closely at the sprites everything's a lot more ash/peach/khaki. i'm planning on getting a wig a bit lighter than the one suggested, from the same seller actually, and doing a really light dusty pink wash, though i'm concerned about it turning out more of a junko color...

I've started lifting and doing squats to do a Sakura cosplay in about a year. I'm not out of shape but I never tried to build muscles ether. My being in shape is more of a 'I want to be healthy' thing.

I think Arda's Ginger Blonde is your best bet for color. Maybe you could try styling using their Magnum, since it goes a pretty good base for the wig.

I took a quick picture of that wig.

I just have my cellphone, but I took a picture indoors and outside to give you an idea of the color. The top photo is from outside, and for some reason everything looks really blue, even though I placed the wig on top of a black object and even the bottom one doesn't really match the wig. I think if I had my better camera, I could get you a more accurate photo.

It's not quiet the same as the other Fusion Vanilla wigs. It's got a little bit more blonde in it. But still pretty light.

The wig itself is lighter then the photos. I held the wig up to the stock photo on my monitor, and the wig looks lighter then the stock photo.

The wig I bought was the Liberta wig from wig-supplier. I realize that it's a mixed wig but at least the darker brown is on the underside. It was literally the only one I could find that I was happy with. You'd think it would be easy to find it in light brown but you come up with a ton of Yuna styles instead.

First suggestions I can think of would be to create a hairline for whatever wig you're using. There's a bunch of tutorials for that sort of thing if you use a bit of google fu. Or you can find yourself a lacefront and cut the shape into it. Ebay is full of cheap lacefronts.

If you're using the fake hairline tutorial, the wefts on that should help hide the bases of the normal ones on the wig. Keep in mind, you'll need to use heat to retrain the wig fibers to point up. Since his hair is pretty short, get one of Arda's since they're thick enough to hide gaps at that length.

Does anyone know where to get a reasonably priced Asahina wig? I don't want to get Arda's Jeannie because it's $40 and out of stock in the Dark Brown color, the last time I checked. Also looking for a tutorial for her twirly ponytail.

Paint wise, don't look at the craft spray paint you pick up at the store. You want to look into spray paint for models. They make some nice metallic crome sprays that'll give you a much better sheen. The craft store stuff is pretty much very matte and dull looking.

Yeah. Your best bet is head over to a store that sells model kits(Other then say, Michaels or JoAnn's) and simply ask them about a good chrome paint for plastic models. They should be able to help you out.

This is the Junko reference sheet I put together- and based on a translation someone gave me in a help thread, that note pointing at her skirt says that her skirt is indeed red/black plaid. People using plain red or plaid with green in it are likely buying pre-made skirts.

I got my petti years ago so I don't really have a helpful link to add. It would be a good idea to check out what pettis lolitas are into, since Chihiro's skirt shape is pretty ott.

In my opinion, it starts out really great and slowly starts to get more and more disappointing. I was hooked in the beginning but I really hated the ending. The characters are really lovable in both designs and personalities, so that's also a plus.

Even so, I still can't like this Aoi. I mean, it's not very hard to find a plain tank top and the proper shorts. Plus the makeup is rather gaudy. If she put a little more effort into this, I think I would like her. I think tumblr is all over this just because she has the right skin color.

I'm cosplaying Junko to fanime, and I have these perler bead monobear clips that I was thinking about using (I thought it would be a cute connection to the game over screen) but I'm a little worried about straying too far away from canon, as well as their size. Should I stick with them or make more accurate clips.

79 cos in taobao makes decent pins of most of the DR and SDR2 characters' details on their clothes

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to make Nanami's clip? I think perlers look cute, but like stated before it is way to big. Suggestions?
