... Ashamed to say I've known this girl for a couple of years. She has a pretty high BMI and little bone definition yet has an unnatural obsession with her collarbones, and her badly painted on gills are on her neck- Those stripes are simply supposed to be "blush"
I'm also pretty sad to say that I'm the reason she began "defining" her features like that, because I contour myself rather heavily in day-to-day make-up (though I have enough practice to know what I'm doing) and in cosplay, and she wanted to mimic me, so I taught her the basics assuming she would stay inside her comfort zone, but she just paints on a line of pink snaz for her "definition".
Her whole costume is a massive trainwreck, down to her phallic horns, unsanded glasses, and unhemmed ripped shirt. Don't even get me started on her monobrow and the fact that she doesnt pencil in them or darken her eyelashes.

i wouldn't say it's unrecognizable? wavy hair, leijon horns, a sweater over a button-down shirt, and a pleated skirt. literally the only difference from her canon design other than the color scheme is the skirt texture, as far as we can see. it's cool to not like tricksters and AUs but this meulin did a better job of being recognizable than the vast majority of trickster cosplays.

Literally just got the Grand High Demon Face wig in today (for a non-HS cosplay). I was really worried but damn, it looks nice. Haven't seen it in sunlight yet (I got home after dark) but it is MUCH nicer than the stock photo implies. It's also not as....choppy/poofy/glamrock as the photo implies? It totally has the POTENTIAL to be so with styling but I like that it isn't by default as floofed up.

Contour. Right now you look like you're wearing a mask. I also think the lashes are a little too much- plus I'm not sure if it's the lighting, but everything looks way too red. The wig color you picked plus the makeup resembles ARquiusprite more than Aradiasprite.
Outside of makeup, lose the contacts. If you could afford white lenses in the first place, why didn't you get mesh ones? Plus your wig is a ratty mess and needs to be tamed.

As far as lenses go, it could be that OP needs prescription contacts. The mesh ones aren't available in prescription, I know because I've checked. I'd be blind if I were to wear them at a con because I need corrective eyewear, so maybe OP has the same problem and figured this was the best solution. Color could be a lighting issue for sure, but I agree that the wig needs a nice round of brushing + conditioner, and that the makeup should be contoured.

I'm a -2.25 and I wear mesh contacts without prescription fine for when i do my own beforus troll cosplay. I found that putting on my glasses really does almost jack shit, since the refraction of the white light from the contacts messes everything up. So like... try getting ready without putting your glasses or contacts on one morning. Are you fine up until the point where you'd need to drive or something? Because if you are, and you can see who's calling on a phone, you'll be fine.

Needless to say though taking off mesh contacts after you've worn them too long is one of the best feelings ever.

No, it surprisingly doesn't. For me it's about the same as being in really heavy fog or in a shitty dance where someone put the fog machine way too high.

Once I wore my mesh contacts with my shitty vision in a room with a heavy fog machine and bright lights at my face. I would recommend you NEVER do this. But other than that, I haven't really had a problem. It helps if you use your hands like a visor to shade your eyes; the brighter the lights at your face, the more annoying reflection and refraction you'll get and the whiter everything will look.

I'm working on figuring out how to contour the white right now, haha. I'm not exactly sure of what color to use? Red is the obvious choice but I don't want it to be too harsh of a contrast. Then again, I'm not great at makeup in the first place so what should I do? In terms of lashes, I know they're looking almost cod-tier right now, but I do intend to trim those. I only noticed how big they really were when I put them on ahah.
Now when it comes to the wig, it was my photo that started the huge Aradia hair debate quite a few months ago, so taking from that I thought "Okay I'll make this new wig really big ang long and kinda messy." I'm not exactly sure what to do or how exactly to do it.
The color is a little off though because the lighting on my webcam and in my house is just terrible.

Our prescriptions are pretty similar. I would lose a lot of detail at a con with mesh contacts in, enough that I feel like I wouldn't be able to appreciate the good cosplays because they'd blur out if I wasn't standing uncomfortably close to them and mesh lenses fog over your vision as is. I'm not allowed to drive without my glasses/contacts in either, so transportation would be an issue. I could probably still walk around just fine without tottering stupidly, since I'd still be able to judge shapes, but I guess I take the stance that if I can't really take in the con, what's the point of wearing mesh lenses at all? For my Meenah, I'm just doing the pink contacts route. I've seen other cosplayers do it and I think it's cute. Kind of a happy medium, I suppose.

Thanks everyone! I actually did have blue originally, but after we ate (since it was a picnic) i had only brought black lipstick. That's also the reason it came off the tips of my fingers a bit.
