Stupid ass Ryofu costume I managed to shit out in record time. I like it, but I'd need to fix it up like a shorter skirt, an extra buttonhole with more buttons, a better styled wig and probably a bigger bra cause you can't go too big with Ikkitousen.

Fabulous Kura. More Hunter x Hunter cosplay is needed... hopefully the new anime will encourage that.

I've been pretty nervous of posting anything on this since most would consider me a fatty chan but fuck it. This was about 7months to a years worth of work. I hand drew out stencils, hand painted all the details. I chose color since i wanted it to pop and i wanted to do my own touch to it. As for the belt skirt: That's about 50+ belts all individually hand sewn. I changed it like 3 times. Enough of that shit. I hit a point where i just had to say fuck it. If i kept working on it i felt like i'd wreck it. So many firsts on this costume. Corset, grommets, alot of crazy ass pattern making. It was just nuts. This is only my second costume i've made for myself. Forgive me for the watermark too but it was one of my favorite photos from the photographer. I have others without watermarks if that's an issue. I just felt so fucking beautiful.

If you're on the larger side, Lulu is a much better choice than say, Rikku or Yuna. I really like it, especially the flower lace. If you could find a way to make the belts defy gravity a little more so they wouldn't sag into a mass at your feet, it'd be one of the best Lulus I've seen.

I know I've posted this before, but it's still the most recent costume I've made. Hopefully that will change very soon, with Fanime on the way. I'll be rewearing this one, too, but with all the little details and pieces and fix-ups it's missing now. Ty btw. :) Actually the belts are more of an optical illusion. There's no sagging. It's probably because i had one of the belt buckles flip under and how a couple of them got sewn on. I have about 5-6 pieces of buckram covered steel hoop boning underneath. It flows and moves like an actual hoop skirt. I did fix the buckle issue as well as the one that initially snapped but depending on how i'm standing, you can't really tell that i can move in it. I'm kind of at an angle here so it's easier to see maybe xD. Forgive me if i sounded a little upset, I'm not. Most people came up to me asking how i did this part and wondered how the hell i walked in it lol.

My last costume was Lilly from Katawa Shoujo, but I'm not very impressed on my construction for that personally. So Filia from Skullgirls is probably the last thing I made that I was most proud of. Sorry :( I unfortunately don't have anything on hand that shows it better. It might be just how i sewed them down at the bottom that makes it appear cluttered. I sewed all the belts to canvas material so maybe the weight of the belts at the bottom are causing the fabric to sag. I can always mess around with this more after Acen. Thank you though :)

I do wish I had given myself more time to work on them, but midterms, another costume, and a giant Freud paper for a dickish professor I needed to impress sort of piled up

The left wing snapped off in the wind maybe 30 minutes after this picture anyway, so hopefully that'll give me a chance to redo them a little better.

If you're worried about expressions, you only have to do two things for a nice smile. First, press your tongue against the roof of your mouth. Then think of something funny and smile with your mouth closed. It gives a more natural expression than just smiling for the camera. Before I go out on the con floor, I choose one thing that's always funny to me to think about when I pose for a photo.

Funny you should say that, the bobble head effect was probably my biggest concern with it. What I ended up doing for the helmet was actually take an old MARK VI helmet from Halo that I'd made a while back, turn it around, and cut the contours of Canti's head out of it. It's tough to see from the front but it's really obvious from the side, which is another reason I decided to make the cardboard box for the head.
