Since it didn't get answered last thread, going to ask again. How long does Surface Spell usually take to send its stuff? I looked at some reviews, and they said 1-2 weeks is normal. Is this the same for the rest of you who ordered from the custom shop?

A couple threads back or so someone posted their order and I vaguely remember a pair of soft-boots with floppy white bows on them, or something like that. The image was fairly small on my screen and I didn't bother asking where they were from, but if anyone remembers them or if that poster still knows the store I would deeply appreciate it. Just checked up on this thread and I got a reply woot.
I've bought from several, always gold crown or crown stores, but regardless of how many they've sold, it doesn't matter. It's something about China's mouses and keyboards (I mostly do mouses, but I do re-sell other hardware) always end up faulty. I don't know what sort of regulation Frye's or Best Buy have when ordering the shit they have stocked from China, but I always encounter blue screened "Bug problems." PS, I have about 20 computers in the house I live in (it's a lab sort of thing and we host LAN parties), so I know for sure it's the hardware.

Again, the only complaints are hear are from a selective amount of people. I don't check back in every month with each buyer who I've sold mouses to, but they do report to me the screen along with picture attached above.

Technically it is a risk seeing as there isn't a lot of feedback to back up that they are a reliable shop/reseller even if they are getting the same shit from the factories. Even if they have a few positive feedback, that doesn't show their track record over a long period of time.

Of course with people who have a shit ton of feedback that is positive, that doesn't necessarily mean they are going to suddenly be better but having more feedback shows they are more likely to be fine sending your items to your SS or wherever it's going.

Ferret-joke anon here. I know. I got my cat by finding the breeder online and, had she not been local, she would have shipped the cat to us. But as you said, most reputable breeders only send interstate, not international. There are, of course, exceptions (for buying breeders or people who already are familiar with the breed, usually). But as other anons have pointed out, it's a stressful and expensive process which results in the "cheap" cat from abroad being the same price as one bought at home, without the stress of quarantine and travel added to it.

Plus, buying a cat from TaoBao, from a seller who doesn't speak your language and whose situation you can't investigate, really does sound like the set-up for a horror story.

So.. this is more of an SS vent than anything... but DollyRibbon has been deliberately ignoring me for some reason. She messaged me ten days ago regarding a missing item in my package and that she would delay shipping so I said fine. She also said she'd let me know if the TB seller says anything about it. Messaged her earlier this week about it and never got a reply. It's the end of the week and I can see her replying to posts on her FB group so she's obviously not away from a computer or anything so I posted about it there too. I still got ignored. Wtf

About pitbulls and there's 500+ stories and news reports/articles of pitbulls murdering babies, senior citizens, and all other people in between.
I had a horror scare twice with pitbulls. My nigger neighbors had pitbulls (yes niggers not blacks huge different we know already) and my dad had to shoot one. It killed our cat right in front of me when I was looking out the window. I wasn't allowed to go outside (didn't understand why back then) because my dad knew if one of those pitbull got out, it would surely kill me. Later, their pitbulls got loose of course and the police were called and they killed the guy's 5 other pitbulls.

Golden Retrievers are NICE dogs. But who is going to pay $1,000+ for a golden retriever pup when you can just go get a monster pit for practically free?
They're cheap because no one wants them. They're in every shelter because no one wants them. They're the most dangerous and intimidating dogs for a reason.

That breed of cat is fucking kawaii anon. Seriously I love them, and Tonkinese or a Siamese...all those that have those color markings make my heart melt. My favorite kitties are the Scottish folds though, oh my god the cuteness is ridiculous.

As for the kitty house, I really like the one with ears or the cube one.

Most reputable breeders of animals won't ship them because of the stress. If they're reputable and do ship, they are making a rare exception. Anyone shipping animals is just in it for the money, how do you know you'll actually get a persian at the end of all that? Or even a cat at all? What happens when they send you a sick cat?

I know a woman who got a Scottish fold kitten from a well known breeder of those cats who claimed she was disease free, and wouldn't you know it, the poor kitten had feline herpes. It had to be put on expensive medicine, and the woman's other Scottish fold did too, I forget if her original cat ended up contracting it or not.

There is where I got my Persian cat and they are very reputable:
http://www.daphnesdolls.com/availkittens.htm
I live all the way across the US from them, and was thinking about taking a plane ride to pick up the little guy, except it would have been cheaper to just have them ship the kitty to me. Teacup Persians are the most expensive kitties, but I was lucky to get mine for a bit under $2,000 total (including shipping & deposit). They've gone up in prices though... I mean $4,500 for a cat? WTF?!
From their site:
Shipping is available to anywhere in the Continental U.S. For the comfort of our kitties we ship with Continental Airlines which has a controlled temperature cargo area. This means more dates and times that your kitten can be shipped to you.

Shipping is $450.00 and includes:
Airline Certified Pet Carrier
Vet Health Certificate
Baby Blanket
Sample of Kitten Food
Health Guarantee/Sales Contract
Health Record

Ew feline herpes sounds disgusting. I'm not a huge fan of cats but I am a huge fan of pugs. I bought 2 pug puppies from a reputable breeder and they are the cutest things ever. Brother and sister, and the price was discounted as I bought 2. They're still healthy and well, and I've even taken them with me on planes with my husband when we go vacationing during the summer. Only issue I've had is them contracting "cherry eye", which kind of makes me sick, because it looks like their eye is bleeding pus. The red color just disgusts me when I see it in eyes, whether it be a human or an animal.

To the person wanting the cat houses, I'm not the same anon lol but here's a link to them:

America is a fucked up country where criminals are treated as babies. Over in other countries the death penalty is actually enforced and criminals aren't just sitting in cells wasting tax payers money. Why the fuck should I have to work for my money to be put into taxes for shit like that? Why should I have to work when the government could just take care of me. Fuck, so many of those people in jail live better lives than me: Free entertainment, free food, free shelter, etc.

Also, police don't do shit until something actually happens. It's just how America works, and that's why the mental health system is seriously fucked up. My father (who lives far, far away in a hospital now) was a schizo from doing hard drugs (no excuses, that stuff is disgusting) and while he was "sick" in his psychotic mode, we couldn't do anything until he actually did something to us. I'd call the police and beg them to take him away, but until he actually did something, we couldn't do anything. He almost killed my brother and after the 20th or so complaint I filed to the police, they finally took him away.

You're disgustingly selfish, treating a living creature like a fucking object.
I hope you spend thousands on some purebred only to receive a common tabby and that you have to keep it. Maybe then you'll learn some humility and compassion. Animals don't a shit what you look like, why do give a shit what THEY look like?

People like you make me sick to my stomach. You don't even give a fuck that some cat is going to have to go through enormous amounts of stress and fear all so some fucking bitch like you can have some kind of burando version of a cat. If this is the kind of attitude you display when it comes to animals then no doubt you'll eventually get sick of it and lean in favour of some new, sparkly pet, then you'll ship the poor thing off to a shelter.

You don't deserve a cat, purebred or mutty.

Do you know how much UK quarantine costs for cats? It's far cheaper buying one from within the UK. The shipping is at least £200 and the quarantine fees will probably be at least £1500. That's not even including all the medical costs (vacinations etc.) you'll have to shell out. Makes far more sense to buy one from a licenced UK breeder.

I'm currently waiting on an order from Buychina and the price ended up being cheaper then ordering from Taobao. There's no where as near as much items listed on the site compared to Taobao, but they had all the ones that I wanted and the search function is easier.

I've seen good reviews for them too and there's like no complaints on their facebook apart from the basic one ie. "my order is 2 days late" and stuff. If I do get scammed in any way I'm going to rail them up the arse with a chargeback so it's no biggy.

I assume you already know this but Buychina spammed cgl multiple times and sent "pay your balance" requests to anons who had never even used Buychina before much less had money that they owed them!
Personally I wouldn't ever use a SS who spammed forums to generate business and I would never use a service who tried to scam money off of people. It doesn't exactly scream trustworthy to me and you can be handing these people over hundreds of dollars that you may never see again

It's your money and your choice anon but there are so many better and equally inexpensive services out there

Honestly, the whole thing about breeding "pedigree" pets makes me sick.
Can you imagine the public outcry if people began breeding human children that only lived up to their 20's and died in a horrible, painful way riddled by disease, but people kept breeding them anyway because they "looked attractive"? It's so fucking messed up.

It's like, I really love pugs. I love their cute, smooshy faces and their googly eyes. Yes, they're adorable, yes I want one, but I could never actually bring myself to purchase one because it would be putting money into the pockets of the people that are creating this poor creatures and that's just evil. Even if there was one in a shelter, yeah I'd probably be attracted to re-homing it, but I'd be more likely to go for the dog that needed a home the most. How can you seriously walk into a shelter and look at all those sweet little faces and then ignore them all and make a beeline for "purebreeds"? Purebreeds HAH, it's just a nicer word for INBRED. In countries like India because of the caste system they think they're keeping the bloodlines pure by marrying into their family, and the congenital deformity rate is off the scale, it's unreal.

I really wish any of you inbred lovers think twice before you go out and buy another status pet, because to people like me you only look like a sick, selfish, twisted fool. It doesn't make you look classy or expensive.

Yeah, I heard about that. It made me a bit skeptical about ordering from them. That and a few months ago they had an offer that if you spent over $150 and the weight of it was under 2kg, shipping would be free. As soon as I saw that I never looked at the site again until I saw people I follow in Tumblr post positive reviews. BuyChina got rid of that free shipping offer, though I hope no one tried it. Free shipping from China for a large order just screams "scam" to me. Do you know of any other good SS?

>>6766526

Buychina and Yoybuy are a bit different to SS like Taobaospree and Taobaoring. They're a shopping service, but instead of having to paste the links into a shipping/item calculator items are instead translated to English and you just add them to your cart.

Some things are cheaper and some things aren't. I find it overall to be less complicated then using the other kind of SS, but I've yet to receive my first order so I can't comment on their reliability, although I'm confident I'll have a good experience.

I don't think the previous poster was as concerned about vanity as much as your lack of compassion and heart towards non-purebreds. Instead of spending upwards $3,000 on one pet, you could be donating $100 to a shelter that cares for all animals, no matter what breed they are.
